If it's any consolation, I had to think for a while to figure out what the hell a "foamer" was

Now, five steps? I think only the first four are causes for concern... I mean, a fictional character can be fantasy-material, particularly if one is completely aware that it is a fantasy. A whole generation of men have sexual fatasies about Princess Leia; I'd imagine that a great proportion of them are not fantasizing about Carrie Fisher. There's nothing wrong with that - it's the way fantasy works. It's a delightful little escape from reality. No harm in it (unless the fantasies cross a line and people start acting on them). Personally, I can understand why Jack would be fantasy-material for some people, and while almost everything I feel connects me to the character is maternal in nature, I still think sometimes her lips look very smoochable. That's about as sexual as it gets for me, but the point I'm making is these little thirty second love affairs we have when we pass someone in the street, watch a movie, play a video game, are in the vast majority of cases not a sign of some humourous psychosis. They're just human nature. We have buttons that can be pressed by others, be they real or unreal.
As for this whole use of the word "sensual" that seems to have spurred this conversation... well, while working from a strict dictionary definition, a person is
seusual, but a line can be
sensuous. The side of a building, a mountain, a wave, a fish, a painting, a cloud formation -
anything can be
sensuous. But to say Jack is sensual... regardless of her not existing outside of an animated image, she is still an image of a person, so ergo Jack
can be considered either sensual (if you're going to be anally retentive about the semantics of word usage)
or sensuous. I would say she has a sensuous gaze, because her eyes communicate abstract concepts in that magical way only eyes can... I would definately descibe her mouth as sensual though, because as much as I like watching it form words and sneer and pout, part of me still thinks it'd be very nice to kiss. And to say that about any other bit of her anatomy based on personal taste... well, I'd not say it's grounds to throw a person on a couch and ask them about their mother.
So, to conclude (because I'm taking the platform like this is a beer hall in 1923), it is my opinon as apparent "caregiver" (to keep the peace and hand out hugs) that there really are no foamers in this room, nor should anyone really overreact about the use of an adjective. Anyone that does, will be taken outside and shot

We're all here to have a laugh, talk about a character we like, and debate things we know no answer to because BioWare has not given us the answers our minds demand. We shall have to wait and see, as they say. Until then, as long as you're not leaping to Jack's defense like she's your waifu or drooing into your lap talking about "dem flaps", I'd say you're not transgressing any terrible line in the sand of taste decency. We know Jack isn't real, but we know enough about her character to know that maybe a little bit of Jack resides in us all - certainly explains why we're so drawn to the character in the first place

So... about Jack, eh?
