only in specific ways. As far as I'm concerned, nothing is off limits in this thread, as long as we don’t abandon the Jack character of course. I have said this before… I don't look at this thread as a character support thread. It's a character discussion thread, with Jack as the central focus. I post in here because I like to exchange with the posters in here, as well as liking the Jack character. I’m not a character support cheerleader.
And speaking of cheerleaders: At least two of the characters in the game make remarks about Miranda being dressed like a wh*re, that I know of. That suit gives her that look. Let’s be honest, it makes her look a bit cheap. Plus she has a decent figure and large breasts. A lot of guys go for
that look. Quite a few women are working their curves, as well as getting breast enhancements nowadays because of it. The catsuit is a bonus to boot. You put her in a nightclub in that outfit,
and a lot of guys are going to go after her before they go after a girl that is dressed more conservative.
Perhaps some girl gamers don't like Miranda, because they don't like the type of women that she represents in reality. They see her as rival competition to themselves. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie] Don’t misread me here though. I’m not saying that I think that this is the case with anyone here in the Jack thread in particular.
As far as fan service goes: The game is fan service. I'm not a game developer, but I would assume that if you develop a game, the goal is for it to be as successful as possible. That's a pretty safe assumption. In order to reach that goal, you have to give the buyers/players what you think that they want in the game, because if you don't, it's not going to be successful. It's like that
with any product that is sold. I think fan service is a good thing for game developers, because without it, it's a failure.
I don't really care either way concerning Jack's belt bra. I do know one thing though. We wear clothes and cover certain areas of our bodies in society. We don't go to work or go grocery shopping without any clothes on. Women publicly cover their breasts with clothing. Men usually do as well. It's a fact of life. Covering nipples is not some foreign abstract concept.
