So you know, a kitten dies, everytime an Epic game is mentioned in a BioWare fourm.

Please stop the G.O.W. hate.

Before anyone responds to this, know that I, in no way, hold G.O.W. on a pedestal. Certainly not one over Mass Effect. Because of which, I'm not going to get into a debate about how better it is, or how the story is better, because, let's face it, it's not. That, and anything and everything that I would've said in this argument would have been me contradicting myself, as I play ME2 more than any other game I have, in my possession (Not a joke. I really do.)

So I'm rendered to repeating myself -- typed, or otherwise -- whenever it's compared to an easily better game. I know it's an easy target. I know its story's not deep enough. I know Marcus Fenix will never compare to Commander Shepard -- Or Jack, as the case, may be, since I've seen someone compare those two -- but goddamn. Is it really THAT bad?

I do realize that I've effectively killed 7 or more kittens, in this small rant.

I will mourn their passing.Image IPB

I can't say that I dislike the game, Sundown?  I wasn't entirely critical of it.

Well damn. Guess I'm too late.

And if you dislike the game, and want to say it, I'm not stopping you.

The plea may fall on deaf ears, anyway, so..

Having Jack open up even more, and becoming friendlier with Shepard, is about like having Samara as a LI, I think.  It just doesn't quite seem to fit to me.  Not at this point in the story, anyway.  I think it's nice that we have a character such as Samara, that Shepard can't reel in as a LI, even though we may want to.  I also think it's nice to have a character like Jack, that Shepard can't be close buddies with, even though we may want to.

You may wish that Shepard didn't die, and later resurrected by Cerberus.  Come to think of it, when was the last time that someone came back from the dead, and didn't scare the hell out of everyone?  IT'S ALIVE!  KILL  IT , KILL  IT...PUT IT  OUT  OF  IT'S MISERY! (reminds me of a Sam Kinison joke).  You may want to toss a squadmate out of a Normandy airlock, or want Legion and Tali to become best friends.   Or, you may want to watch Grunt and Kelly in a X-rated romp in the sack, but that doesn't mean it should happen.

Here's a thought; why not simply avoid talking to Jack, after she propositions you? Or Just avoid talking to her after you do her loyalty mission.

That way, you KNOW she likes you, and it doesn't have to go any further.

For the MeerSheps, that is.

For the FemSheps...Well, sh*t, you're greedy. The asari weren't made for just MEN, you know. Image IPB

If it bothers you that much, cop a feel on Kelly's ass, and see if it makes you feel better. Annnd now I'm done joking.

Are you talking about Jack opening up to a Shepard who is only her friend, or are you talking about Jack opening up to a Shepard with whom she is in a relationship?

I don't think that it'll be easy for the two of them, but I think that she might take the chance - she already did, once before.

I just thought of a tattoo that Jack could get, for remembering Shepard. I dunno, might be good, might be bad.

Image IPB
^^

A heart, maybe a real one (This was talked about before, i think) battered, bruised, and bloodied, with sharp objects -- like syringes, or knives -- protruding out of it. Add a few torn out stitches, one for everytime she thought she found happiness.

Then, in the middle of it (Or wherever it looks right. For the sake of simplicity, I'll go with middle) there'd be a fine line sewing the heart up. It should glow, too -- or have some sort of feature that separates that stitch from the other, worn out ones.

And, to put the icing on the cake, in the middle of that glowing line, there'd be a small, N7 logo branded on it.

I don't know, I may have let creativity get the best of me. Opinions?  Image IPB

Dawww.  That'd be pretty cute.  Maybe out-of-character, but cute.

Would she put the tattoo somewhere only Shepard would see?  ^_^

Watching Jack's trailer, not the FFTL trailer, one thing puts me off to how she is presented by Bioware in it, even more than the "Psychopath" label. It's the line that they took from in-game, where she's describing her tattoos. Instead of leaving it as "because, hey, why the hell not", they cut it, and put in "because, **** you". It's very heavy-handed, for a trailer that doesn't do much for her.

Probably so, yeah.

But I can't really pinpoint a specific spot, you know? Not without obstructing another one of her tattoos. Maybe that might be the point. Who knows?

And just to ask (Just woke up, brain isn't functioning, just yet) how would it be out of character for her?

Yeah. The use of a real heart, rather than the icon one I used, was an attempt to remedy that. Supposed to look grotesque, but it's also supposed to get the message through.

Why would she need a tat to remember Shep?

I suppose it has to do with how she seems to have tattoos for the important aspects of her life, but now that I think about it, it would seem they would all be tattoos of something she has lost. Shepard hopefully wouldn't be one of those.

Unless she's lost prisons, and kills, and such, I wouldn't believe them all to be things she's lost. Only some of them are -- she says this herself.

And it's never said if she wouldn't get a tattoo to remember something  on this mission while she was currenty on it, anyway. Be it something about the Collectors, the Omega 4 Relay, the Normandy, or Shepard, himself.

Well, they're prisons she's escaped from, so I'd say that's something she's managed to lose. ;)

I can see her getting a tattoo that represents the whole Collector mission, though. That has to qualify as a sweet kill. Don't think it would be an actual image of a Collector, but maybe a surreal representation of Harbinger's assuming direct control process with all the glowy bits.

A relay-shaped tatoo sounds plausible... if she finds a place for it. At this point the only such places would probably require an NC-17 rating to see.

No reason why she couldn't have an old piece of ink covered up with new... the portraits on her left arm cover existing work, so she could just opt for a new cover-up piece. Or it could be something really small and easily missed, but it has significance for her and Shepard; something maybe only they know about or would recognise the addition of in the gallery. Or it could be somewhere intimate, but Jack is something of a heart-on-her-sleeve gal, so I think it'd be in plain sight.

I've not mentioned it yet, but Miranda Shepard's mom has a tattoo to mark her relationship with her daughter's father. I know where it is... maybe I'll let slip eventually.

Maybe Jack will get a tattoo of a Cerberus logo.  It will signify her part in helping to save humanity from the Collectors, and destroying the Baby Reaper.  Help her remember Shepard and her fellow Normandy crewmembers, who all received their paychecks from Cerberus, the same organization that experimented on her.  How crazy is that?  It makes about as much sense as Shepard's corpse being discovered and resurrected by that same organization, after falling through the planet atmosphere and landing on the surface of Alchera.
