I doubt the adherence was an attempt to deliberately fulfill a stereotype. It just kind of ended up that way, or so I felt.

Here's a picture of Team "Deal With It".

For some reason, that particular scene during the Thane recruitment mission is a gold-mine of dramatic poses.

Sorry York... but that picture's awesomeness is undone by Shepard's coke bottle glasses.

I noticed you have the film grain turned on, york. You like it better? I haven't used that since ME1.

Film grain's not turned on.   It could be any number of things that make it look like that.

Here's Team "Deal With It"  with Jack doing some kind of biotic something.

The black shirt has an odd effect on Jack's sides.

Badass, yeah, but damn, the boy looks like he just staggered out of Night of the Living Dead. She deserves a guy who isn't hot on Tuchanka ;)

It ain't all about being a pretty boy, ma'am.   Vic's got character in that rugged face.  I like that face.  It's not a shallow face.

This:

...is as close as I get to pretty. He was also offered to Jack.

I like rugged and I don't much mind scars either, but the boy looks like he needs staples to hold his skin on! ;)

Teasing aside, I've never really done pretty-boys; a lot of my Sheps tend towards being not a million miles away from yours... rough, strong-looking guys, usually with very short hair :D

Well, here's Vic without the super-heavy Rengade scarring.

He's a little prettier, but not by much, and you can't get any shorter hair than what he's got.

;)

Seriously York, WTF is that!? XD
I'm tempted to print it out and hang it on my wall.

As usual, I came too late and the party is already over. Looks like I've missed the past two or three "I wish Jack was bi" discussions. But you already know my opinion: yes, but no. Or was it "no but yes"? :)
As Samara would say, enter a room with three humans and you'll have six different opinions.

Ok, I'll share here too - these are the Sheps that have wound up with Jack thus far:

Adrian Shepard

Daniel Shepard

Iain Shepard

Jacob Shepard

Marcus Shepard

Warren Shepard

Will Shepard

And I have two more Male-Sheps that are beginning to lean that way too... guess Jack makes an impression! ;)

I think you and me have more Shepards than your average ME player, Mondo. I've got 13 of them right now, and you probably have that many too, if not more.

Your Warren Shepard is a total badass! Awww! I'd really would not mind meet him in a dark halley :-P

Will, on the other hand... he looks like an emo with that aircut ;-)

I was trying to get a kind of Seann William Scott vibe with Will Shepard... some young, c*cksure, loudmouthed loveable idiot. I thought the hair was fine for a couple of hours, but then I realised it was terrible, but didn't really want to go all the way back and change it.

It's Happy-Prancin' Kaidan.  ME1 had the best bugs.

Actually, my most scarred Shep (my Renegon Isaac), ended up paired off with Miranda. Most of my least-Paragon Shepards are female... I say least-Paragon because I find playing a pure Paragon or Renegade is too one-dimensional; either Lawful-Stupid or Chaotic-Jackass :D

My Sheps that wind up with Jack tend to be hard, but not callous or heartless; they'll think nothing of shoving a merc out of a window, but they'll help a dying batarian even though batarians killed their parents. Most of them have their own issues too, being sole-survivors, colony orphans or street-kids from Earth, so they know a little about how rough life can be.

My Shepards run around like Kaidan up there... with a little bit of biotics and gunfire mixed in here and there.

I've never been able to do a pure Renegade... it's just too jackassy to fly with me.

I've made decisions with my two ultra renegade Shepards, that I didn't care to make, but I did it for the variety.  It adds a little flavor.  They're evil ****s, that's just all there is to it.;)I never could really justify making some of the decisions, but these Shepards are diabolical backstabbing s.o.b's.  If there is a renegade decision available, they take it.

I've got a couple of ultra paragon Shepards too, and they're arrogant self righteous idiots.:P  If there is a paragon choice, they take it.  Even though I don't like choosing some of the lawful stupid paragon decisions that I make with my ultra paragons, they are sometimes more palatable to me, than the evil douche renegade ones are, that I choose with my ultra renegades.

And I've got every mix of alignment in between the two extremes.

Oh man, I love that part. And Jack's line afterwards is classic

I'm somewhat ashamed to say I almost always stick with the default appearance. I've tried one or two custom faces, but they always look... wrong. I think I have a lack of talent in using sliders, I can never make faces look good in any game with them.

The point is fairly moot anyway, I run around in the Blood Dragon Armor all the time.

I finally got tired of never being able to see my Sentinel Shepard's facial expressions in the Blood Dragon Armor.  At least with Kestrel Armor and the Umbra Visor I can mix-and-match, and see my Shepard emote.  Do you have the Umbra Visor?

Anyway, back on-topic, here's some feel-good musing:

Assume ME3 has a happy ending.  Assume the Reapers are defeated, and neither Shepard nor Jack die.

If Jack were to be influenced a certain way, might she become an instructor at the Ascension Project, for example, or will she forever be the Pirate Queen?

I think she's earned a little bit of the quiet life, all in all. Think about Zaeed's dreams of retirement in his SB log - Jack might want to try slowing down, now that she has someone to slow down with?
