If ME3 Jack isn't a pirate queen you visit to get the support of the galaxies underworld to battle the Reapers then Bioware have gone wrong.

That would be awesome!

And, in reply to the previous posts about the "coercion into romance" thing... well, Shepard does *not* force Jack into romance, but he's really obsessive! I felt like playing as a stalker. A good-hearted one, but still a stalker. Probably because of my female mentality... but when a girl says "no" and a boy keeps on bothering her, well, that's not nice. Ok, we all know that Jack is just putting on a wall to keep other people out of her life, but it still felt wrong.
As York said, if I remember correctly, that's mostly because of Shep's lines, some of which are really awful.

Its funny I didn't see it as stalking just getting to know my crew I mean she seemed like a hard @SS but I (Sheppard) had to make sure she was not a Psycho killer, after the reveal about her friend who died saving her life it kind of changed. She proved there was more to her then just violence, sex, and snark. I think at moment she became more appealing to me then Miranda, and Tali.

I just wanna see Jack tear apart a reaper from the inside out.

Grunt and Wrex can escort Jack on to each Reaper as she blows them up from the inside.  That would be distilled awesomeness.

Well Shep already tore a reaper apart from the inside out.  As I recall Samara and Grunt escorted Shep (in my playthrough).  On the way they picked up Legion who is clearly the only character in the ME universe who knows how to dance.

He shot up the fancy Reaper core, if that's what you mean.  I was thinking more like Jack ripping it apart with biotics while Grunt and Wrex shoot at things.

Anyway, Liara sure can dance, and you just know that Samara can dance, though her dance-style might be a little out-of-fashion.

For some reason... I don't think Jack has enought biotic power to tear apart a reaper from the inside out.  I don't think any character in the ME universe does for that matter.

sadly we won't ever know... since none of the characters dance with Shepard at the "dance" spots even after there is an active romance between them.  My guess is that she is a ballerina.

She is deadly-graceful, we know that much, and she's built like an acrobat, but that doesn't say much about whether or not she can dance.

Well I think Jack can dance... maybe a little more aggressively if the beat takes her there, but I'm sure she can dance if she wants to.

Jack can strap on some shotguns to her feet and do all those crazy breakdancing windmills while mercs get their faces shot off.

[And yes, I'm referencing Bayonetta.]

I wonder what Jack would think of "Bayonetta".  Jack would love the **** out of Rose McGowan's assault-rifle-and-minigun-prosthetic-leg, in "Planet Terror".

Bayonetta.  Weird game, I couldn't get in to it, but it definitely has style.

The more important question is: But will she leave her friend(s) behind?  Because you know if your friends don't dance (and we all know Shep can't dance), well then....

But seriously: I know that was kind of jumping on the bandwagon after it had already rolled away, but I couldn't resist.   And yes, I'll even concede lame.

Also, I have an idea or two percolating in my head about Shep's lack of dance-ability, which will have to wait until I finish 5B.  Finally, I know we've seen Jack in action during the SB vids, but she never struck me as much of a ballerina - always more of a berserker in my eyes (the gorgeous litho of her notwithstanding).  However, I'd be willing to modify that statement to "graceful, but in an instinctive, untrained way," which, come to think of it, might make her even more attractive than she already is.  Spontaneity can be good at times.

If she's not graceful, she is precise and powerful.  I think she's all three.  For reasons I gave before, using biotics as she does, she must mix precision and power.

I guess that's why her squishiness and occasional powerlessness stand out so much in ME2 - she can't do her crazy, super-powerful acrobatic biotic flipping-out, because the game won't let her.

I still say Jack's biotic abilities are one of brute force. But you can have such abilities with precision. Think of a (american) football player who knows how to navigate the field, knows where to throw the ball. I know I've said in the past that Jack isn't a guaranteed win against other characters, but that's because all the characters bring their own techniques to the battle and different battles lend itself to different techniques. And it's not simply what you can do, but how you can use it that will bring you out on top.

For instance, my Infiltrator totally owns the mission with Grunt's recruitment. I know exactly how to use every single one of my abilities to destroy the entire world. However, my Adept destroyed Horizon in situations that caused my Infiltrator to retreat. And the same goes for Jack, she kills on some missions and she gets killed in others. That's not to say I can't make decent use of Jack on, say, the Lair of the Shadow Broker mission, though. It just takes altered strategy.

So outside of gameplay, I think the same is true still. Some situations completely suit Jack's abilities. Purgatory was a tear up, no finesse needed. But then you get to the Derelict Reaper, which could have been a tear up if it weren't for the fact that the husks swarm and the scions kick everyone's ass but Grunt's.

Then take some of Jack's stories. She mentions taking the space station wasn't easy, and I imagine that was a well-planned mission. Jack probably needed to do a surgical strike. Could she do it? Of course. Could she do it as well as someone like Thane? Probably not. But then Thane probably couldn't hold his own against multiple enemies (when it's not a sneak attack) the way Jack could.

Huh. For the first time in several weeks, I actually want to get back to my Jack romance playthrough. Right on.

Yay! Cuddles for Jack, Paci! ^_^

I do agree that while the whole "my waifu can beat up your waifu" thing is pretty lame, based on Jack's life experiences, I think in a non-biotic-enhanced bout of unarmed combat that didn't hinge on some other opponent using tech to stack the field, Jack could beat the snot out of most of the Normandy's crew that don't have a racial advantage thanks to exoskeletal plates or backup organs or a few hundred years worth of combat experience... just think of the hellholes she's survived and the people she's travelled with... she's probably learned parts of a dozen different martial arts (parts, as opposed to any single focussed training in one school) and all manner of personal brawling techniques and general fighting-dirty...

If this was a turian-style grudgematch to let off steam, I'd be putting money on Jack; simply beacuse the more she got hit, the harder she'd hit back.

Pitted against other members of the squad, I also put my money on Jack save for three individuals. One, Grunt. 'Cause he's frakkin' Grunt. But I also wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Samara and Thane. I feel Samara and Jack have equal abilities in biotics, but Samara has patience. Thane, with his eidetic memory and patience that rivals Samara, I think would be an excellent manipulator of the battlefield to his own advantage.

Oh, but if we're talking hand-to-hand combat.... Still the same three people, actually. I suspect martial arts are an intricate part of Justicar training and we've already seen that Thane is particularly skilled in this field.

Now don't respond to this post for ten minutes, I gotta pull myself away to load ME2 before someone says something I want to respond to. I mean, you guys do want me to romance Jack, yeah?

I've actually had the fic-idea of Jack beating the crap out of an inebriated Shepard on a 3-day-Omega-binge because the rest of the crew is either too afraid to face him in a fight if it comes to that, or are too honor bound to him to rough him up. I think she could take him sober too, but that's for another time.

Knowing Jack, she'd probably view that as her and Shep becoming closer. ;)
