Again with the hair comments. She has hair, she just keeps it cut very short.
If Jack keeps her hair cut short for function, so as to keep it out of her face, or to remove something that someone could grab her by in a scuffle, I'd like to hear her try to reconcile that and her makeup. Unless we can disregard Jack's makeup as entirely the function of character design, Jack must have a sense of vanity. I'm not saying that that's a bad thing, but, as I said, I'd like to hear her explain it, in-character.

Of course Jack has a sense of vanity, if she didn't she would look like walking 'meh'. Maybe still a hardbody, but just scars.
As for practicality, You don't fight a biotic up close, at least not for long. And I don't think Jack cares much about accuracy, it's like she said, she likes the style.
Not to get too armchair psych here but a lot of Jack is about control of herself and her destiny.

I don't really care either way, about her hair. Short or long...doesn't matter to me. I imagine that she'll still have a buzz cut in ME3 though.

Jack could have hair originally, if anyones seen the original artwork. Short dark hair perhaps would look best, wouldnt potentially hurt to have minor changes like that on the human characters to give us an idea of time passed.

When I think about Jack and makeup, I think of those makeup boxes from The Fifth Element; hold it up to your eyes, fffzzzzt, it's done. I can't see her sitting in front of a mirror for thirty minutes to get her face just so. Miranda, sure. Jack, nope. I think you have to take her as she is. She's not one for preening for a guy. Sure, she can take some pride in her appearance, but she spends most of her life with her weight on the backfoot; ready to break into a run or deliver a killer right-cross to your jaw... you can't be thinking about looking great while you do it.
Then again... she might be conversant with the old-school way of handling makeup, just not fond of it... :innocent:

At the end of the Tali romance arc, she says that it was worth it to get sick just to get close to Shepard. That's a good, revealing line, I think.
Jack has nothing like that.
So, if you could write a line or two for Jack to say to Shepard at the end of the romance arc, what would it be? It shouldn't be (intentionally) out-of-character.

That was cute, Mondo. At first I thought that the kiss was a little out-of-character, but then again, as a result of the romance arc, we're starting to see parts of Jack we haven't seen before.

Grunt is the only squadmate on the ship, that I could see Jack being compatible buddies with. She may get along with several of them, but I don't think she would be buddies with any of them, other than Grunt. It probably wouldn't be a the type of relationship that you would see between two humans. That may be the reason that I think that it might work, because of the relationship itself, and the two personalities. Grunt would probably respect her aggressive attitude and willingness to fight, while Jack may see someone that likes her for who she is, and who doesn't want something in return, other than to fight at his side.
