It would appear someone has finally taken an interest in the nuances of Jack's romance dialogue and has started to record and post it on YouTube.

She... really doesn't take it well.

Ya that one has been on youtube for a while, but it's nothing compared to breaking up with her during the paragon romance scene.

But still, when Shepard says he has other options, and she hesitates and says "right" and acts like she doesn't care when she clearly does. That one pulls at my heart quite a bit. Y'know, all this talk about breaking up with Jack today has made me realize I am a wuss lol.

Haha ya, I never watched that entire video before until earlier today while looking for a video of Shepard breaking up with her during the paragon romance scene. And I had read from other posts on this forum that she tells you to **** off, but I never knew it was whenever you just "selected" her and I never knew she yelled it so loud lol. I was like "holy **** she is pissed!" And what an **** thing to say "I thought you weren't the thinking type." Shepard might as well say, "I thought you were a ******."

God I wish my ME2 game worked. I would so start another Paragon male and romance Jack this time.

"I thought you weren't the thinking type,"
that just so sounds like "Hey, I thought you were just a ****ing hole."

They really did make Shep a total douchebag when it comes to giving Jack the runaround... he's nowhere near that much of a dick with Miranda (who he's just cocky with) or Tali (who he teases a little and then hides behind health excuses). I guess the writers really wanted her to be the stealth moral compass for relationships.

If it's scratched you can fix it with some pledge and a paper towel. You just buff the scratch out with the pledge. I've done it a bunch of times. I did it with my ME1 disc. Just make sure you only rub from the center to the edge of the disc or visa versa.

Ya I watched this video on youtube of Shepard breaking up with Tali in the engineering deck. And people left comments saying how bad they felt for Tali and how they felt like a jerk by just watching it. And I was like "pfffft. Go break up with Jack when she comes to your cabin and then come talk to me about feeling like a dousche."

The health excuses are perfectly valid reasons not to do anything with Tali. And I got nothing to say about Miranda because I dumped her as soon as I picked up Tali.

That's what I'm meaning; with Tali it's a little jokey, but it has it's heart in the right place, with Miranda it's more a battle of attitudes, and with Jack... well, he just treats her like ****. I mean, is Shep such a total ****** he thinks that's 'the way she'd want it'?

Seems like he needs Liara-style training wheels on his relationships (I've known you 24 hours but I feel there is a deep... connection between us... and I'm open to threesomes).

Well they are renegade choices, Shepard is supposed to sound like a jerk. But still, there is no nice way to let her go, there is no neutral option that breaks up with her. When you break up with Tali you are choosing a paragon dialogue choice.

I had assumed that Jack would be open to my Renegade FemShep. Apparently I was mistaken in my thought that Jack was into that sort of thing. And I was nice and everything. Posted Image

I did like that, actually... would have been so cheap to make her into Femme-Sheps. I would have liked more of a friendship to develop out of it all, but not to be...

The semantics of non-hetro attraction have been bandied back and forth in this thread and others before now, but considering everyone else seems to find Shep like space-catnip, just because Jack visually ticks a few extremely hetro-centric stereotypical bi/lesbian checkboxes, and seems at least to have experimented with it before (not so much the statement about Whozerface and her boyfriend, but the way she specifies she doesn't have a boyfriend or a girlfriend to both Male and Femme-Sheps as its a waste of time) doesn't mean she has to get hot for Shep regardless of gender.

I thought it was nice that (if you want to read it that way) Jack isn't attracted to a Femme-Shep... possibly because Shepard out-alphas her and she perfers to be an alpha in that kind of relationship (I know a few people like that in real life, so it makes perfect sense to me).

Yea, when you put it that way it makes sense. Just like every other "Hat" that fiction likes using, they turn the bi/lesbian one and throw it out the window. I just didn't really think it all the way through.

Well she says she's not a "girl club kind of person." She didn't say "You're too tough for me." So I'm going to say she's simply straight. Which I prefer because I think making her bisexual would be too... typical I guess. And I'm not homophobic but when a chick is bisexual that's kind of a turn off for me.

Oh well. Its a shame Jack was able to tear through YMIR mechs before you recruit her but she uses nothing but guns afterwards. I understand it would have been hard to animate, but still....

I wish she had charge, that would be awesome. She is a vangaurd after all. But I can see obvious technical issues with that. Squadmates need badass special abilities in ME3. Like something that they can only use a few times per mission. Like Jack would just go nuts and run at all the enemies like a bat outta hell and rip'm apart. Of course the cooldown would have to be pretty lengthy though.

People would complain about how the game "requires" you to sit around for 3min (or whatever the cooldown is) after every battle since they've come to depend on the badass abilities, and other people would complain about how having such a badass ability on demand makes the game too easy (like they already complain about the heavy weapons.)  Of course, most of those people would complain about whatever the situation is anyway...

It would be nice if there was something to make the glaring difference between in-game and cutscene power less glaring, though.

probably a similar situation for the enemy vanguards, it might have ended up being too hard to animate and/or annoying

Haha ya this is really all I'm asking for. Like Grunt one shots a freaking thresher maw in the Blur trailer. And yet when he charges a few collectors in the game he gets dumped on.

Ya, and it would probably be really difficult to program the AI so that it doesn't charge at innapropriate moments. Like at two YMIR mechs or something. And then they would have to give the character a huge shield boost, which sounds kind of overpowered, to make up for the inability to gtfo of all the gunfire that they'll get showered with after charging.

all of my friends have tattoos. I'm waiting till I loose a bit more weight...and get over my fear of needles. I also need to figure out something I'd want to have on my skin for the rest of my life.

Your first, huh?

Well I suggest you get the image you want and just hang it on your wall for 3 months, if you get tired of it, you are not ready for a tattoo. But of course, don't let me discourage you.

Don't think I saw this posted here:  cool article on the Jack romance here.  The comments are good too: either people already saying "Yeah, the Jack romance is my favorite" and people saying, "Damn, I overlooked the Jack romance.  I might have to replay the game to check it out."
