[Quaay]

I really hate the visor. They should at least let us toggle it off. I refused to buy it cuz there is no way I would cover Jack's eyes. I hope they don't make the same mistake in future appearance packs =/

I have to agree with you Quaay the visor was my one problem with the appearance pack. Bioware really dropped the ball on that outfit

Shep: Never better. How about your arms?

Jack: Tingly from that full nelson earlier.

Shep: [smirks] Still think I'm a p*ssy now?

Jack: Shoulda gone for the rocking horse and popped my back in place for me.

Shep: [shaking his head] Never thought I'd meet someone so into wrestling that she could literally throw me off my feet.

Jack: I'm scrappy. What can I say? [hands bottle back to Shep, stares thoughtfully]

Jack: What did you think of me when we first met?

Shep: Hm? [takes another swig from the bottle]....

Jack: What did you think - of me - when we first met?

Shep: Hn. [puts the bottle down] Honestly. I didn't know what to expect at first. [smiles] Read the file Illusive Man sent over. I thought you were a guy.

Jack: [punches Shep in the arm]

Shep: Purgatory was damn scared of you - scared enough to put you on ice. A criminal that makes the other scumbags on a slave ship shrivel up like that? That's gotta say something.

Shep: Half expected a masked murderer with a huge machete or a disfigured geezer with a gloved claw who can kill you in your dreams. That's just me watching too many vids.

Shep: Grunt said you were small when we cracked open the cells.

Jack: .. Imma slap his ass with a singularity after this.

Shep: He changed his mind pretty quickly when you broke out. Don't be too hard on him. He's just a kid after all.

Jack: [flatly] A big kid with guns, toys and stroke mags he got off the extranet.

Shep: [chuckling] But seriously? What did I think about you? You had me the second you blew up those YMIR mechs and started tearing the ship apart. I'd pay to see you do that to a Reaper. It was that goddamned magnificent.

Shep: [leaning over] I was in awe of you.... Even when you called me a p*ssy.

Jack: [sliding back away from Shepard] Heh. Bastard.

Shep: [easing back into the chair] I don't regret helping you get out of Purgatory. Sure, you did time and all that. But some of the other crew I had to pick up weren't any better in that regard.

Shep: In the end? I got someone who made me remember I'm more than humanity's poster boy on a crusade to exterminate a race of oversized machines.

Shep: Jack. [eyeing her seriously] You make me want to be a better man.

Jack: [squints]........ You stole that line didn't you?

Jack: ..... C'mere...

It's great to see it all finished at last. It really does not disappoint

It's funny how the art here is sometimes very reflective and internal; there's a lot of great fanart out there in the various threads, and a lot of it is cute, or humourous, or standard pinup-art-ish kinda stuff (and there is NOTHING at all wrong with those things, by the by)... but here, while we do the same, we also think about what's going on inside so damn much.

Quick Question for Jack fans: How would you guys react to Bioware presenting a completely changed Jack in ME3 - ie convential clothes/armour, long hair etc ?

Would you be for it or against it?

Clothes, armor and hair are all superficial changes to me. Her attitude and approach to situations is what makes her Jack to me. If she wasn't yelling "I'll throw you like a toy!" during battle, then I'd wonder where Jack went.

I suppose what I'm asking is, if they went down to the whole "Shpeard has changed her for the better amgle" would that be acceptable

Her no longer being the "rebel without a cause" but a "rebel with a cause"

Still the same old Jack, but more integrated into society, and more likely not to let her temper rule her actions

Totally agrees with that. I can safely assume that if - IF - Jack will be back in ME3, she and all the other squadmates will have some kind of "upgraded" look, maybe just some details, yet still different. Take Ashley as example: if you compare her standard ME1 armor with the one she wears in ME2, you'll notice some small differences. I have no problem with that ;-)

On the other hand, please don't change her attitude!

Okay.  Here's the picture.  The artist is Steve Goad.  This is a picture that tries to show Sole Survivor Shepard's trauma, and how it would affect Shepard's relationship with Jack.  Jack doesn't know how to deal with Shepard's nightmares, since she deals with her own problems in an internalized way, but she's trying to help, and I'm trying to show that, too.

I still prefer to pair Jack up with a colonist/ruthless Shepard though.

Nope.  Quickfic, or proper fanfic?    For proper (not quickfic) fanfiction, there's Urdaniel's material.  That's all I know about.
