Axl, you created that picture in less than a day?  It looks great.

EDIT:  I know you said that you "cheated", but still, it looks great.

That is beautiful work, Axl... and the mood is perfect - very Nighthawks with the warm slices of light against cold dark blues and greys. Jack looks kinda sad... poor lil' thing :crying:

Awesome Axl. I like that she's sitting on the table and not a chair... seems appropriate. You can almost hear the ship humming in the background, and dead quiet otherwise.

@ york - Just used a couple techniques plenty of concept artists use to save some time.

@ Mondo - Thought I'd try a Jack that looks contemplative, but with the loyalty outfit and all I cranked the clock back just after Pragia and her little talks with Shepard. On second thought, probably enough space to put in a spare silhouette of our favourite commander on the citadel..... Next time.

[awesome pic here]

Great job Axl!! As MHRazer said, drawing her sitting on the table is very appropriate :D

Besides this image of Jack sitting by herself, there's one other I always have floating in the back of my mind - as something of a prison throwback, Jack using the end of the ladder for the access ducts for chinups, or looping her ankles around the bottom and doing inverted situps... jailhouse workout.

That's my four images of Jack I always have in my head - working out, contemplating, horsing about with Grunt and being awkwardly comfortable with Shepard... kinda the way I can see Jacob and Miranda arguing about shipboard things in a corridor and having a friendly drink in the galley together only to end up arguing again, Kasumi getting in everyone's business, and I only ever see Garrus calibrating :D

I could see a scene of Garrus and Thane talking to be honest.

As for Jack, yeah, the description of her doing chinups by using a ladder immediately brought an image to mind, so I'd say it suits her.

The image of Jack doing pull-ups instantly caused me to think of the locker-room scene in "Aliens."  Vasquez and Jack are built similarly.

Shepard: "Hey, Jack, have you ever been mistaken for a man?"
Jack: "No.  Have you?"

^_^

That reminded me of Sarah Connor, instead. Terminator 2, if I remember correctly.
Yeah, I guess that Jack didn't build those muscles only by punching people to death ;-)

Wouldnt she add a biotic twist to her workout?

Like, whatever she is using to do chinups she is holding up biotically.

Such as increasing her own mass, to make lifting herself more difficult?  Can biotics increase gravity in an area?  Now I'm thinking of Dragonball Z, and I'm ashamed that I was able to make that connection...

So, aside from playing poker and antagonizing others online, what else is Jack doing in her spare time? For recreation, that is.

Bullying Jacob? Perfecting her crème brûlée recipe?

Probably checking her weapons repeatedly, writing poetry now and again...

and working on that creme brulee recipe Image IPB

I see her staying as a loner as regards the other crew mostly. More civil to Shepard even if they aren't involved and maybe gets on with grunt and zaeed, possibly kasumi for some reason.

That, and she probably still trolls internet forums.  That seems like a distintly Jack activity, to me.

If your Shepard could give Jack a book to read, what would it be?

Well that's confirmed in Shadow Broker DLC.

We had a fic where she sculpted things, I could see her trying her hand at artsy things when she has downtime. We know she tried poetry at least once.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing!   I pretend like I'm Jack trolling the thread here.  You guys are starting to piece it together now.

FO, FU, give me a f*ckin break, thanks for f*ckin asking, etc... Not bad huh?

Remember the LoTSB vid where Samara restricted the movement of a getaway car with her biotics? Could be a similar thing that Jack could do. Like an exercise belt. Or it could be something similar to Luke Skywalker lifting his x-wing out of the swamp, except she gets to hold it in the air longer and make it fly around the hanger like a toy. Or biotically juggle a couple of containers full of mined materials. For kicks.

I always did like the idea of Jack having a near-genius level artistic side. I almost wished she had graffiti all over the walls that get crowded the more we see her. Y'know so she doesn't have to look at the damn Cerberus logo etched on every floor and wall tiling all day. It kinda screams of... "Jack was here."

As for whatever else she does in her spare time, I dunno. Play with a rubik's cube? Play chess against herself? Play strip poker with the guys in engineering? Or hell, she could just eat away at her boredom. Raid the kitchen when Gardener's off grocery shopping and fix herself something [ I keep coming back to the Fifth Element - "CHICK-ENNNNNN~!"]. Or she could just head on over to Kasumi's for a drink and a round of old school asteroids and Pac-Man on the arcade machine.

I have so many Shepards...

My Shepard would give her Pride and Prejudice,   Shakespeare's Sonnets, Melville's Moby Dick, Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil, Hakagure: Way of The Samurai, and the 1818 Edition of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Just to get her started, of course.

;)

That's cute  :3.  The lightness of her hair in that picture throws off the shape of her skull, though.  It tricks my eye, at least.

As for Jack maybe defacing the Cerberus logo printed about the ship, yes, I think she would do that.  What would Jack's tag look like, though...?

That skull tattoo of hers, the one she has on her shoulders... that would look good painted over the Cerberus logo ;-)
