And if you're going to get pregnant, avoid getting them in areas that... change shape.
Just sayin' ;)

I just started a playthrough as Jack in Dragon Age. Made her a mage (biotics?), kept the haircut, and just chose the biggest face tattoo they had available. Fun playing through the choices making those which Jack would go with, her personality often calls for the more "evil" or "harsh" choices and conversation options, but you still get to choose some good ones.

Don't think I saw this posted here:  cool article on the Jack romance here.  The comments are good too: either people already saying "Yeah, the Jack romance is my favorite" and people saying, "Damn, I overlooked the Jack romance.  I might have to replay the game to check it out."

Quality article; accurately hits on quite a few good points.  Nice find!

Edit:  Not to beat a dead horse, but the points the article makes reinforces how absurd it would be to make Jack not a squadmate in ME3.

Jack:  "Shepard, I know you're the first person I've ever emotionally opened up to, that I've essentially said I need you with me, that I have no ties to anyone else or any organization, that you're giving a bigger kick to Cerberus than I ever could, that I get to enjoy far more personnel and property destruction when I'm with you than I would alone, and that here I can feel relatively secure for the first time in my life, but something random cropped up so I gotta bounce, peace."

Marred only by the fact that the author misspells "Shepard." But yeah, I like how the article implies how ME2 will, at times, level with you and reward you for acting like an adult.

It may sound weird, and I can be flamed all day for all I care for saying it, but taking the paragon route with Jack and seeing her smile at the end made me feel, just for a brief, minicule second, like I was a better person, and built something instead of destroying it.

Your first, huh?

Well I suggest you get the image you want and just hang it on your wall for 3 months, if you get tired of it, you are not ready for a tattoo. But of course, don't let me discourage you.

Yeah, its on my "one of these days" list.

A few pages back people started talking about putting Jack in some real clothes [I think].

This got my brain running amok a bit. Imagine FemmeShep finally gets a trailer of her own for ME3, and when she pops open her N7 helmet after a good 30 seconds of reaper buttkicking, we see Jack underneath instead sticking out her tongue and going "What? You expecting someone else?".

I thought it was awesome for the last 10 minutes or so.

[Oh, and to GethKnight who just reposted that Jack painting I did a while ago, thanks a bunch dude :D.]

See, now you have me thinking what it'd be like if Jack was a Spectre.

RANDOM PASSERBY: What are those things on your necklace?

JACK: Well, I don't want to say... But a certain Turian can't use finger quotes anymore. They say he screamed like a little girl when he saw me coming, but I have dismissed that claim.

Shepard and Jack would make the best Spectre team.  Shepard handles all the talking, and Jack handles the executions.

(Heh, the things you realize going back over this stuff:  I think that whole, "You could take this ship and go pirate, and I'd be your first mate" might be Jack's twisted way of signaling her interest to you.  "Hey, I like this guy.  We should kill folks together."  Course, I think a FemShep gets that line too, but I still like that reading, so I'm ignoring that. :))

Nah Bobby, she didn't want to be the first Mate, she wanted to be incharge of the boarding parties.

Still, it can be the first sign of intrest.  She is after all willing to work for you and not just kill you all and take the ship...for now.

Listening back to my audio... ah, Shepard asks her if she would be his first mate, that's where I got that from.

It's the funniest thing, listening to these raw audios:  it's always the male Shepard saying the line, followed by the female Shepard saying the same line.  It's like when you were a kid and you taunted your little brother by repeating everything he said. :D

Having gone through the entire thread now, I can say without a doubt, that you bunch of oldies (and not-so oldies) are all totally insane.  Brilliant. ^_^ You even mocked Anomen for extra approval points.

And no one will try to make a horribly conceived paper-mache Jack love doll... So we got that going for us.

Oh, really? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/uncertain.png[/smilie] .. I was gonna get it on ebay and.. No, no..I suppose you're right. I guess I'll make a start on that chibi fanart with lotsa hearts and rainbows.

..Ugh, even just joking I have the urge to Gibbs-slap myself pretty blasted hard. More seriously, I'd love to do some (non-creepy) fanart, but I lack talent. Ah, well.

Azint wrote...

Curious, does anyone else here have tattoos?

No, but maybe some day. Nothing as extensive as Jack's though, despite how much I'd love that. .. Yes, yes, my aestetic preferences are screwed to say the least. Not to mention I'd love to be able to have a shaved head without running the risk of looking like a cabbage patch doll..

Damn that "Tali" doll. Damn the sick bastard that made it.

Axl99: It was the only good Jack pic I could find on deviant art. There was a JackXMiranda pic but i wasn't sure if it would be allowed. And your idea would be cool if you would have Jack in a full set of N7 armor killing abunch of batarian pirates or some other merc groups and then taking the helmet off and picking up a bottle of some green stuff.

Here's a fun little bit of info in case anyone is looking for even MORE reasons to believe that Jack has a strong chance of coming back. If you go to that Destructoid article that was linked earlier in the thread (here it is again) and read through the comments below, a little ways down is a comment by a user named Kitae. I thought I recognized the avatar, and my hunch was correct.

Kitae is actually Christina Norman... and Jack is her favorite romance in the game. Booya for our side!! :wizard:

Yeah, they never seem to get the face just right; always make her look too brutish.  There's some semi-tolerable ones on there.  And I think I found the one you were talking about; "Clearly A Mistake," right? :D

Ha, ha!  Maybe the "DLC that FemSheps are going to love" is the chance for them to get a shot at the best romance in the game. :D

Yeah, like I mentioned a bit ago, it wouldn't make sense for her not to be a squadmate in ME3, especially for a Shepard who Paragon romanced her.

Whoa.  I've been peeking in on this topic periodically, and after missing only one day it's suddenly grown ten pages.  Did I accidentally click on one of the other character threads?

Well, you guys have done it.  I definitely have to see the Jack rejection scene now.  The more you talk about how bad it is, the greater my need is to see it.  It's a bit like when your neighbor asks if you've seen the horrible accident down the street.  You know that you really don't need to add that sight to your memories of the day, but you'll probably take a look anyway.

Now, that Destructoid article got me thinking.  Is the consensus around here that Shepard did not have sex with Jack in the Paragon love scene?  I just assumed that they did, but I've never really thought much about it.  The writer of that article obviously assumed that they didn't.  Should it matter?

I can see how what looked to me like a tender postcoital embrace could look like... um, I guess just a tender embrace to another.  The other love scenes that I've seen in the game don't really show what happens after the lights go out, so to speak (though I haven't seen them all).  So, I suppose it could go either way.  Thought, anyone?  (And again, apologies if this is an old subject.)

I don't think Jack and Shepard had sex, as the time-elapsed scene ended with neither of them so much as taking their shoes off. Just kissing and huggin on the bed.

Of course, given my view that Jack sees Shepard's death as a forgone conclusion, I think she kissed him goodbye and just took two hours to do it. Call me an optimist.
