I'll agree on those two certainly. I suprised myself with Garrus'. Yeah, he's a friend and all, but maybe I liked it more because I didn't like him much in ME1. But it was sweet.

Jacob had manflesh, but however hormonally driven I may be at times, even that didn't make it worth it. I make a terrible girl.

Yes, indeed.  The reason I'm posting it in several places is because it took me FOREVER to do.  I have a couple planned, and wasn't originally going to rush them, but that whole "We hate the gays" thread forced my hand.

My favorite one has to be discovering that line from the Anderson meeting, "I'll take any asset I can get."  It only took clipping out a single syllable to equal hilarity. 

Currently listening to audio from the suicide mission.  There's one point where Joker has to call out the name of somebody who died, and they're all in a row in the audio bank, so it kinda sounds like the start of the Mickey Mouse Club show.  "Grunt!"  "Zaeed!"  "Thane!" "Annette!"

Somebody mentioned a Miranda/Jack one last night, and I saw that they have it over at the "Fight for the Love" group. It's... uh... intriguing.   I think I might have found the subject for my next audio edit.

You did a brilliant job, I mean it. One of my favourite bits was in the middle where Zaeed yells "What the hell are you doing?" amid all that grunting. And the "I'm not done with that **** yet!" at the end - pure genius.

This definitely has the potential to be a YouTube miniseries or something.

Shep: Ok, it's not like you have hair you can get it in, but do you want me to come in there? (puts his hands together in mock-prayer)

Tali: No! Wait a minute... I'm coming back out...

Shep: There's toothpaste in there, ok? You can use my bru - ok, don't use my brush...

Tali exits the bathroom, looking haggard and sweaty.

Shep: Look, I have to go back on duty in an hour...

Tali: No way, Shepard. I came up here, I got undressed, I'm not leaving until I get what I came for...

Shep: I don't like it doing this to you.

Tali: Well I like it! I'm not ashamed of it, either. I like kissing you!

Here's a fun little bit of info in case anyone is looking for even MORE reasons to believe that Jack has a strong chance of coming back. If you go to that Destructoid article that was linked earlier in the thread (here it is again) and read through the comments below, a little ways down is a comment by a user named Kitae. I thought I recognized the avatar, and my hunch was correct.

Kitae is actually Christina Norman... and Jack is her favorite romance in the game. Booya for our side!!

Edit:  Not to beat a dead horse, but the points the article makes reinforces how absurd it would be to make Jack not a squadmate in ME3.

royceclemens: I think I almost fully agree with your assessment of the ME romances that I've seen (which is all of them in the first game, half of them in the second). I can definitely see ME1 romances continuing in a satisfying way in the third game, with particular potential for Liara's, though right now I generally prefer the ME2 romances.

I'll probably go for Miranda in my next playthrough, just to do it, but I can't really say I'm looking forward to it. I've already seen all of her romance dialogues, and while I ended up liking her character more than I thought I would (which isn't necessarily saying much, but there it is regardless), her romance to me feels like something Shepard would go for purely to get his jollies and move along. Not that there's anything wrong with that, if that's what they both want, but hearing him say "I care about you, Miranda" made me cringe a bit. (Amusingly, Miranda takes it as a joke when Shepard tells her he's just trying to get her into bed, but I thought he was just being honest.)

Also, the Shepard/Zaeed thing is awesome. I think I'll need to listen to it again, as I was laughing over most of it the first time.

Well, you guys have done it.  I definitely have to see the Jack rejection scene now.  The more you talk about how bad it is, the greater my need is to see it.  It's a bit like when your neighbor asks if you've seen the horrible accident down the street.  You know that you really don't need to add that sight to your memories of the day, but you'll probably take a look anyway.

Now, that Destructoid article got me thinking.  Is the consensus around here that Shepard did not have sex with Jack in the Paragon love scene?  I just assumed that they did, but I've never really thought much about it.  The writer of that article obviously assumed that they didn't.  Should it matter?

I can see how what looked to me like a tender postcoital embrace could look like... um, I guess just a tender embrace to another.  The other love scenes that I've seen in the game don't really show what happens after the lights go out, so to speak (though I haven't seen them all).  So, I suppose it could go either way.  Thought, anyone?  (And again, apologies if this is an old subject.)

Ya I think the general consensus is that they did have have sex. Every other romance scene makes it pretty obvious they're doin the dirty. And I doubt that if they did have sex, that right after they finished they got all their clothes back on and cuddled.

So, um, going through Normandy conversations on my audio rip... yeah, FemShep has romance lines recorded for Jack.  Including a response to the "If this is just about sex" line.  There's something about hearing Jennifer Hale saying, "Alright, Jack.  I like how you move" that... ooh.

Probably just like the MaleShep/Kaiden and FemShep/Ashley lines, a remnant that didn't end up getting used.  But still... interesting.

Well, she also has the "No, I just want to get to know you" lines in there too, so so far, yes to the second.  I'll report back on the next conversation once I get to it.   But from what I've seen so far, there are NOT same sex lines for any of the final "consummation" scenes of any of the characters.

And... nope. The FemShep recorded lines for romance end after that conversation. Still, interesting that there's still lines for FemShep to do the Renegade option with Jack. It almost kinda makes sense, in a way: there's the implied history of Jack, that might make her open to a fling with a woman, but she's only interested in a long term relationship with a man.
