Got the same thing. Maybe because the face seems slightly real? I dunno.

There's more detail and lighting in the face than in the hand or shoulder, so as a whole it may come across as unbalanced. How much visual balance and contrast to put in an image is something to consider whenever working from or on top of photographs.
Yeah getting the light/shadows right is still my main problem :/
Well Im still learning...just barely started with digital drawing...still a long waqy ahead of me.

I think she'd fit right in at the football parties I've been to. She'd be loud.

The same would probably be true of football. Hooliganism is definitely something Jack would be in to.
What about rugby?
Anyway, I think Jack's perfect Sunday would be sleeping in late and laying in bed all day while eating and watching TV or movies.

In the sports vein, I could definitely see her throwing some tantrums on the squash court. As a matter of fact, I suspect she's a sore loser with respect to anything competitive.
Yes, her LOTSB dossier proved that :-)

I am quite miffed about this. (And no, they aren't even funny.) I posted a comment on this one saying that I think Jack is the most beautiful woman in ME2 and why I thought his cartoon and descriptions were offensive. A couple of days pass and various people post agreeing with me. Then he hides all comments and blocks me from posting on his profile! I wasn't rude; I just stated my criticism clearly. Rather than reply, as one should do if one feels one can defend one's opinion, he just censors and silences everyone.Epantiras wrote...
Blah, one of my favourite DeviantArt artists has uploaded not one, but THREE comics against Jack. And they're not even funny. I'm unwatching him before I enter rage mode and start being unpolite.
I understand that, since Jack is a fictional character, it's not sensible to get worked up about her. But, to my mind, the artist was commenting as much about Jack as about women in general, and how we should all fit into a certain mould to satisfy men. One of the things I love about Jack is how refreshing she is in her attitude and how she isn't particularly concerned about pleasing anyone else or how others see her. She is not ashamed to be herself. While I personally don't cover myself with tattoos or swear like a sailor, I think her assertiveness is a positive quality in many ways - and I mean the real assertiveness, not the stuff that's just covering up her scars and her brokenness. (I don't think it's all fake, not by any means.) There are a lot of women who could use some of that confidence, rather than having it knocked out of them as "unfeminine."

I'm not sure. Something about Jack makes me think of the Terry Pratchett quote "People who didn't need people needed people to see that they were the kind of people who didn't need people."

I'm not saying Jack doesn't need others, but rather that she doesn't define herself by how others see her. She doesn't let a desire to please others cripple her self-expression. To fall victim to such a mindset is to be fundamentally superficial. Jack doesn't want someone who loves her for fitting a certain image, and who would discard her as soon as she stopped fitting that. She wants someone who loves for her being herself.Xilizhra wrote...
