BobbyTheI, those are some brilliant audio edits. My chest aches.

Anyway, to be a little more on-topic, I decided to bring Jack along all the time on my current playthrough. Can't believe how many geat quotes she has. And I think I'm finally starting to like shockwave and pull. The latter purely for this situation.

It's been said but Jack indeed is a woefully underrated combat asset. If for no other reason than the wacky physics.

Am I the only one who carefully lined up a sniper shot only to waste a bullet because Jack shockwaved him before I could pull the trigger?

Or seen her use pull on an enemy... only to drag him right into a singularity I set up about five feet away?

There has been many times we worked as a team. Shockwave has a way of knocking people out of cover and stunning them, regardless of shields/barriers/armor. Hitting pull on someone that happen to sneak up on me. It is hard to not bring her along, just so I can try others.

Hello Jack fans. I was going through the screenshots I took in game and came across a very nice one with Jack from her loyalty mission. I like this pic a lot, the mood and her pretty face.

It's hard to be mad in situations like that.  It's just so damned funny, and enforces how the combat's improved from ME1 to ME2.  In ME1, your teammates were about as useful as a group of paint huffers trying to decipher quantum mechanics.  Here, they get stuff done.

But my particular favorite incident happened during the last stretch of the suicide mission, when she blew a collector off a platform JUST as Harbinger was assuming direct control.  The poor little bugger flew off like a rag doll and didn't start glowing until until he was halfway offscreen.  But I still got Harbinger saying "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL."  It sounded more defeated than anything else.

It's the little things in life you treasure...

Wow that is a really good pic. I never noticed her looking sad when she walks out of the mako.

I really do find Jack to be the most useful squadmate with my soldier. I have it set so they'll only use their powers when I tell them to btw. A while I go I started using shockwave often because I almost never used it, and now I probably use it more than pull. I love having her knock some guy out of cover (it knocks them out of cover even if they have armour, shields, or barriers), and then hitting adrenaline rush and sniping the guy in the head while they're stunned. It's extremely badass. I had underestimated shockwave. It is very useful for stunning enemies with protection and knocking them out of cover. Plus it's great for husk bowling Posted Image.

And Jack has saved my ass a bunch of times with pull. Some guy will rush me and I'll quickly try to shoot away their protection and then have Jack yank'm away just before they kill me. And with the eviscerator shotgun and heavy warp ammo, she tears enemies apart at close range.

She did it to me the other day on Mordin's loyalty mission... had this Krogan lined up for a headshot when he suddenly took off like bloody Superman and sailed into the thin air above one of the gaps between the walkways and began to plummet down between the floors.

I'm fast though, and plugged the bugger while he was falling. Incendiary Ammo - for adding Insult to Injury ;)

Tungsten ammo is where it's at. I would choose warp ammo but I don't want my soldier to have any biotics.

Since I like sharing my Mass Effect Mockery scenes with you, I posted this in the 'Kelly Chambers for LI' thread a little bit ago... opinion seems to be I'm funny but sick ;) No torchwielders yet, either.

Shepard comes back to his cabin after a tough away-mission...

Shep: (tossing boots across room) Whoooo...

Kelly: Hey! Watch it!

Shep: Whoa! Sorry, Kelly... didn't see you there.  What are you doing up here?

Kelly: Oh... I was just feeding your fish. Took me a while to get by your... pet.

Shepard sits on the end of  his bed, Urz rests his head on Shepard's lap.

Shep: Hey boy... how you doing? You've not been giving Kelly a hard time, have you?

Urz: (purgles contentedly and smacks his jaws)

Shep: Yeesh... doggie-breath... hold on... have you been eating my peanut butter again, Urz?

Shepard opens his desk-drawer and removes an empty jar.

Shep: I keep that in there for midnight snacks! Damnit, Urz! That's like the fifth jar this month! I swear, one of these days I'm going to figure out how you manage to get the jars open without opposable thumbs. Clever Varren, but you're still a Bad Varren... Bad Varren!

Kelly: Erm... well, you're back now... I should probably be going...

Shep: No treats for you, Urz!

Kelly: ... could use a... shower. We'll talk later, Commander. Bye! (makes a hurried exit)

Shep: She's such a nice girl... you better behave when she comes up to feed the fish, Urz.

Urz: (Urz purgles innocently)

Not to disrail this thread again from actually discussing Jack, but on the advice of the genius behind "Ugly Shepard," I got a MediaFire account and uploaded my audio edits there.  So no more going through Rapidshare's bug screens, whoopee!

The folder for all current and future "Mass Erect" edits

Been thinking about perhaps uploading them to YouTube, but just can't decide what visuals to put behind them.

That's a good derail though - Jackolytes should share their creativity, especially when it's as good (and twisted) as those are. Plus a plug for Ugly Shepard is FTW as the kids say

I'd just go with stock screencaps of the characters involved. Nothing too descriptive about the action itself, since a lot of the fun for me was trying to imagine what was going on (like what exactly it is that Shepard does which causes Zaeed to exclaim "What the hell are you doing?!")

Y'know, has anyone heard from Average Gatsby recently? I know someone tried contacting him a while ago. I wish he would update the OP to make it a little more interesting. It could use at least a couple screenshots of Jack.

Well, I did it. I had to listen to Bobby's "Shepard/Zaeed Love" audio file about 3 times in order to numb myself up enough, but I did it.

Here it is: rejecting Jack before the suicide mission.

That....was really depressing.  I'm pretty sure that line by Shepard easily makes, if not heads, the list for top10 cruelest things Shepard can say in the game.

Agreed. Like most everyone else here, I'm never going to do that with Jack in a normal playthrough. I just luckily had a save game from just beforehand so it made it simple. And I know some people were probably still curious as to what exactly happens or what it looks like.

Hm, i was expecting a punch in the stomach feeling.
But the "why do this to me" build up moment/scene went away as fast as the line was said. =/

Ah well, Jack still win the paragon romance award scene by a mile compared to any of the others. :P

Well I'm glad it was quick, but it definitely wasn't painless. Lucky for you that it didn't hurt to watch. I checked out that scene in my own game a few days ago and I felt like a total jackass the rest of the day and the day after.

It's never bothered me too much. Maybe because I loaded a game from a week earlier, and it lacks some of the impact on it's own. I guess maybe I need to see the build-up, and Sheperd leading her on for it to make me feel bad.

Or maybe I'm just cold and heartless. That's also possible.
