Jack with hair... Someone needs to do a fitting rendition. She does have a pretty face.

I wooed her as Paragon shep, and it was pretty interesting.

It was good though, but....................yeah.

That bad, huh?

My bad.

It was good, just damn depressing, that's all.

Yeah, that's what I was aiming for.

Imagine if that DID happen, in Mass Effect 3. I wouldn't even know what to do.

I doubt that scene would translate well in game though, but I could see them doing something similar with a preview trailer, just to freak everyone out. They would just have to make sure the victims identity stays unknown, and everybody would jump to the worst conclusion for them personally. And then you play the game and nobody gets indoctrinated, what the hell.

Lest we forget, Jack already went through a whole stage of not just having hair, but CLOTHES too.
And those designs were turned down. Probably because they didn't exactly fit Jack's personality, and more importantly she needed to be visually different from Miranda.

Maybe if Zaeed and Samara were LIs, then the devs would have covered the whole spectrum.

Miranda = Tramp

Jacob = Stud Muffin

Jack = Wild Child

Tali = Innocent

Garrus = Tough Guy?

Thane = Exotic assassin with tragic romance?

That covers a lot, but middle age folks don't get much luv in Bioware games.  I think it would have been interesting if Wynne could have been an LI in DA.:P

I don't know about Miranda being "the tramp", sometimes I wonder if her romance could have been as meaningful as Jack's if it was written as such. Miranda's got her own issues but Shep seems to only care about getting laid with her, he's doesn't get concerned when she sexually harasses him, or when she proclaims her love for him out of the blue (lol wat), or that engineering debacle. Seemed like a cry for help to me, but hey Shep just wants to get laid, but with Jack he's all caring and considerate, huh. Maybe Miranda was designed to appeal to the renegades since renegade Shep really doesn't have to break character to romance her.

Ok, my bad. Maybe tramp was the wrong word. Perhaps the word "fluzy" better describes Miranda.:innocent:

You and me both.
If something like that did happen... I'd probably force myself to play through the scene again and again, irrationally hoping that it would get less heart wrenching and end different; but instead I'd get more and more depressed.:crying:
It's still very good writing though; makes us all realize a little more just how obsessed we are with Jack.

I'm running through Mordin's loyalty mission on Tuchanka.  Every time I hear one of those Vorcha say "You're gonna die!", it always reminds of that Guns n Roses song "Welcome To The Jungle".

You're gonna die!  :lol:  Can't say it was one of my favorite songs, or that I ever really cared for G n R, but for some reason it makes me chuckle whenever I hear that in the game.  Reminds me of that Dirty Harry movie where Jim Carrey lip sincs the song in that video they were shooting in the freezer.  That stupid mannequin with the head that spins around 360 in a homage to The Excorcist, and catches on fire.

Wasn't that a cool story...bro?

Given further thought, if interaction between Shepard and Miranda where any different then as is, then poor poor maleShep would never get laid (in game that is). Oh, the outrage that would ensue.

What, nobody is having sex on the Normandy, what the hell!!!!:o

Thought I'd pop in here real quick. I just completed another playthrough with Jack as my LI, and whoa, did I forget how touching that pre-Suicide Mission scene was! Easily among the most emotionally resonant segments of the game, alongside Tali's romance scene and the entire Suicide Mission. It's a short scene, but one that successfully adds another layer of depth to Jack's character -- one that, again, I had mysteriously forgot about (though it had been nearly a year since I last "romanced" Jack). For the longest time, I had planned on my Renegade Shepard going through the trilogy without any LI -- guess that's not happening.

Thank you for the link, I hadn't seen this yet. There are some great hairstyles and clothes - not all of them would fit to Jack (e.g. in the other picture the long white hair) but a short black hairstyle would have been nice too.

But regarding how at which time you find Jack I think the current style works quite good for her.

If you romance and stay with her I could imagine that shey maybe would change her style a bit and for example let her hair grow.

Would you like to see a change of her style in ME3?

I guess, no matter what Bioware will do (or won't do), some fans will be disappointed by Jack's look in ME3.

I have no desire to change her, so no.

So I take it I'm in the minority when I say I want a twisted, heart-wrenching conclusion to the Jack romance in ME3?

I am a Thanemancer. My neural system can bear only a limited amount of heart-wrenching conclusions :crying:

I can't agree there, Johnny. As much as Miranda can irritate me, choosing to have a lot of casual relationships to avoid the hassles of anything more concrete and not being backwards about coming forwards only makes you a "tramp" if you live in a draconian society. She's more the "ice queen" stereotype if you ask me (though this really does come unravelled when you look at her history).

And as for the proverbial BAD ENDING to Jack's romance? No. Just no. She deserves her happiness. You kick the puppy too many times and even if your George RR Martin the audience will begin to think "ok, this is getting stupid now." ^_^

I always wish for Happy and Bad endings. You know an end or conclusion that is based on your choices and actions.

I was browsing through ME related stuff on deviantart when I came across these, I think he recently finished the Garrus piece.  I wouldn't mind seeing his stuff on Jack, hell all of the squaddies tbh.

From a writing/critical/cringe-inducing-victorian-tragic-star-crossed-lovers perspective; it would work best is it was a bittersweet (or just plan downer) ending. On the other hand, considering everything they've been through, it would be nice for (to some extent) a happily-ever-after. Though knowing Jack that would probably less involve the 'white picket fence' style and more involve explosions. Lots of explosions.

I know I should be contributing to the discussion, but...

I still feel like writing. Anyone think I should try my hand at an alternate, happier ending?

If I had any sort of writing ability, like at all, I'd love to try writing a fanfic about Jack's mom, wouldn't be the most flattering portrayal though. Or one about Tali during the engineering debacle, personally I think she's down in Jack's lair crying her heart out, and Jack can't find the strength to tell her to get the **** out, and ends up awkwardly comforting her instead.

Maybe the ME universe is draconian, then.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]

That's some pretty neat looking artwork you uploaded there Ultai.  I see your rendition of Portal as Jack being the protagonist is finished, axl.  I see where the Blackstorm Projector concept came from now.:P

Not that I'm all that wonderful a ff writer, but I love this idea, General.  If/When I finish this, I'll post the link here.

Challenge accepted.  :ph34r:
