She looks like a naughty librarian with these glasses:). "I'll smear the walls with you if you don't return that book in time!"

At least that's not that ugly* visor from the alt. appearance pack ;-)

*it would be less ugy if her eyes were visible beneath it.

That visor really sounds the division bell for me... I cannot abide it divesting Jack of her most emotive features (her peepers), but I do like that it harks back to daft late 80's post-apocalyptic future-cinema (movies like FutureKill or Hardware for instance as opposed to the more gas-driven-barbarity of The Road Warrior). It loyally echos the genre it is supposed to, but it removes too much of what makes Jack special.

Got to agree with Epants here. If it was see-thru, it'd be forgiveable. And if she didn't wear them outside of combat it'd be note-perfect (thanks to the costume that goes with the bins-of-doom). As it is... it's not high on my list of things to make Jack wear.

You know, the fact that all of the conversations and theories we've been coming up with before has just been reduced to commenting on a small, transparent acessory that has been photoshoped onto the character in question's face actually answered my question. Heh.

If the glasses had been of any other type, I'd actually have something to say. I'm not that big on those.

I love it! It's very soothing!

I already have this image of Jack going back to the ruins of Teltin and seeing all the overgrowing fauna just barely covering the giant crater.

Malin Ackerman, anyone?

You think she could pull off being Jack? Because I'm watching Watchmen, and...Well, it's just a thought.

I'm pleased you've mentioned her actually, though not quite for the same reasons. Not wanting to digress too far here, but despite being a really big fan of the book, I actually was very impressed with the movie. It got the tone right most of the time, and 90% of the casting was in my book pretty damn good. Except Malin Ackerman. I'm not being mean, but jeez... Keanu Reeves in Dracula much? Wheel a Chippendale cabinet on there and we'd have had a better performance. She looked great but as far as acting went... ouch. Maybe it was the fact everyone else there was so dead-on? I don't know, but without wanting to come off too mean... no, not for me at least.

And don't get me started on Silhouette... *ahem* ;)

This actor-for debate always seems to wind back to a couple of people every damn time - I can almost hear Natalie Portman clearing her throat from the wings of this debate. I'll be honest and say I'm not sure I've seen anyone in the current crop who could carry off action heroine, dangerous bitch, unstable and fragile all at once. It's so fine a line; too much of one facet and it usurps the others. I am glad though you mentioned someone new, Sundown. So... anyone not that obvious or as-yet unmentioned? She's not skinny enough mind you, but I think Rosario Dawson would be good. I think Rosario Dawson would be good at anything to be fair, but you get the idea :D

I don't know if she was mentioned earlier, but I can see Milla Jovovich as Jack. She has the looks (http://www.millaj.co...cs/fanart71.jpg), is skinny enough and has experience playing a badass video-game character. Let's not forget that movies based on VG usually don't have the stellar cast of Oscar-winning actors and actresses, so her acting wouldn't bring the whole movie down.  The only thing that could be an obstacle is her age (I can't believe I actually wrote that, she's only few years older than me ), she's a decade older than Jack. But as we all know CGI could make Nosferatu the Vampyre look good, so that could be fixed.

I could be biased though, because Resident Evil movies are my top choices for Silly Movie Marathon nights :)

I think with the right makeup, Rooney Mara (The Social Network, The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo remake) would be very fitting. The facial structure is almost identical and if she was chosen for Fincher's remake then surely she can play "dark" characters. She'd just have to wear contacts

Eh...I don't know about that one. I mean, it could happen, and it probably could work, but if they cast Milla as Jack, I'd probably spend the first time wondering exactly why they did that. As for Dawson, I'd have no problem with it. I mean, we still don't know a damned thing about her race, or ancestry, so if they can pull off setting her up with a Puerto-Rican background, then good sh*t.

I, personally, would only suggest the actress who've experience that role -- Jack's role -- as close as they could. Somebody like Michelle Rodriguez. I don't know if she'd take the role, but if she did accept it, I believe she could pull it off.

By the way, has anyone seen B*tch Slap? I'm curious to know how Julie Voth's acting skills are. You know, the girl that gave her likeness to Capcom so that they could give a face to Jill Valentine?

Speaking candidly, I wanted to present my opinion regarding the Jack romance, and see what people think. Note that I'm not trying to flame anyone or their preferences; she wasn't made to be easily likeable, and those of you who do like the romance are clearly seeing something that I'm not. That said...

I don't hate Jack, and I don't think that the possibility of a romance with her is a bad thing (though making it straight-only... that decision, I like less). The problem I have is that it's utterly eviscerated by ME2's general lack of deep interaction with squadmates; this is something that's realistically essential with someone like Jack. And it's not easy to just imagine out of the air, like it is with several of the other LIs; you're having to break through emotional armor left by a lifetime of trauma that is, to almost all of the game's players, literally unimaginable. As presented in-game, it's too fast, too total, and possibly worst of all, totally one-sided. It's true that no one in the game aside from Jacob, Kelly and Liara ever asks about Shepard's feelings, but like with the problem of speed, it hurt's Jack's romance a hell of a lot. It's like she's Shepard's supplicant at the end, especially with the romance cutscene, which could have been sweet but which I just find creepy.

If they had time, they'd give it to them. Guess they didn't.

I understand that the romance path seems too fast. I mean, you've only five conversations with her in the entire game, not counting the Loyalty Mission ones. A better way of making this romance happen was to either set more conversations, or 'Samara' her, and have her show up as an actual love interest, in Mass Effect 3. That way, they'd have more time.

What're you gonna do, though?

I'd like to take the time to state again that I like her because she fights, as I do all of the other women who do the exact same thing.

Before I disapear...Someone said Jack's writer wasn't in, for the next game. Was that true, or...?

After seeing Olivia Wilde in Tron, I'm sold on her being able to pull off Jack's vulnerable side.

She definitely has range, though she hasn't had a really strong role yet. If you've watched her character on House, she is quite cynical/direct, like the regular Jack. So even though she doesn't exactly look alike she would be a good call.

axl, I saw your picture, but I had to run out, and didn't have time to leave a comment. I was pretty angry. Now, I'll leave a comment.

They look so absolutely content and serene, together. Is that the final version?

It is a little early to talk about Jack in the ME movie....since it will probably be based on ME1.

Ah yes, the "ME movie", I have dismissed that claim.

Something tells me the protagonist of the ME movie will be Mr. Big Ben (i.e. the British sniper in the ME3 trailer).

Anyway, going back to the "who should be Jack in a movie" topic, N. Portman surely does look *a lot* like her.

Yeah...I have my doubts about the movie as well. Not that I don't think it is worthy if a movie...just that I think movies based off of games go horribly wrong.
