And it's not even finished. Damn, we're good!

Speaking candidly, I wanted to present my opinion regarding the Jack romance, and see what people think. Note that I'm not trying to flame anyone or their preferences; she wasn't made to be easily likeable, and those of you who do like the romance are clearly seeing something that I'm not. That said...
I don't hate Jack, and I don't think that the possibility of a romance with her is a bad thing (though making it straight-only... that decision, I like less). The problem I have is that it's utterly eviscerated by ME2's general lack of deep interaction with squadmates; this is something that's essential with someone like Jack. And it's not easy to just imagine out of the air, like it is with several of the other LIs; you're having to break through emotional armor left by a lifetime of trauma that is, to almost all of the game's players, literally unimaginable. As presented in-game, it's too fast, too total, and possibly worst of all, totally one-sided. It's true that no one in the game aside from Jacob, Kelly and Liara ever asks about Shepard's feelings, but like with the problem of speed, it hurt's Jack's romance a hell of a lot. It's like she's Shepard's supplicant at the end, especially with the romance cutscene, which could have been sweet but which I just find creepy.

If they'd cut off the shot with Jack lying down, that would have made me feel many times less unclean.Sorry to hear you found it creepy.

Edit: ACK! Double post!
I shall remedy that with this!
Shep's 31 (or 33 depending on how you view it) iirc. I know it's canon he's in his 30's.JohnnyDollar wrote...

Although it's not finished yet, it's refreshing to see a Shepard that doesn't look...young. Not just his face, but in particular his hairline. Although it could be just that it's unifinished.
I was a little disappointed that Bioware didn't include a shade of grey for Shepard's hair in the character creator.

Eh, I dunno. It depends like all people-one maleshep (the one that ended up with Jack actually) looks dreadful though; I'd put him in his mid 40's myself he looks that weathered and generally old. I guess it depends. All depends on the whole 'humans luive to 150' thing shep can mention in ME1 to Liara. Is it a the D&D half-elf system, where you just sorta of hit middle age and stay there for a while, or is hit 80 and stay like that for a while?JohnnyDollar wrote...
Yeah, I knew that he was in his early to mid 30s. You think that since Shep is in his 30s that he wouldn't or shouldn't have grey hair and/or a receding hair line, and that he should look young, Loki? Or are you speaking specifically about the default male Shepard, and how he looks?
Edit: Not to put words in your mouth though, in case I'm misunderstanding you, but Sheps age is common knowledge, so I assumed you were maybe trying to make a point.
