:crying:

Guess people are just busy playing DA2, or waiting on "Arrival" news.

I think I remember you saying that you were going to draw a version of that picture, with Shepard in it, in some capacity?  Or maybe Shepard already is in the picture, just in her thoughts.  Art within art?  My head asplode.

Haha, it's deeper than Inception. I didn't find Inception all that difficult to comprehend (it was still very good though), but this: "art within art"... now my head will "asplode" too:pinched:.

I'm not playing DA2, but I am waiting on "Arrival", or whatever it will be.
Off-topic: Dragon Age has an awesome story and awesome looking combat (particularly DA2), but it's not my cup of tea for gameplay; the point and click style just doesn't work for me - too similar to RTS games, which I can't stand. That style of gameplay is one that I enjoy watching, but not so much playing. I prefer to control all of my characters actions instead of telling them what to do. If it had a combat system more like The Witcher (where you can control each sword slash) then I would play it; but for now I'm happy just watching other people play it. No offense to all the DA players (who are probably most of the forum frequenters). K, I'm going back to lurking in the thread shadows now, don't kill me.

Edit: beautiful art btw Axl <3

Hm?

I'm a little confused. Dragon Age 2 does allow you to control your characters' actions. First one didn't, no. But this does.

Ah well, no matter. Everyone has different tastes.

Nah, I'm not talking about anime.  Can't stand the stuff.  I was referring to the way you were referring to people who can think of Jack in a "lovey-dovey" way, with a condescending tone.

Oh, that.  Well, I see no reason to apologize for that.  If'n you wanna lovey-wuvvy with your sookum-ookums go cuddle-wuddle with Tali-wally-woo-woo-um-nums.

Don't get me wrong.  Epants' little comic about Jack storming in for cuddles?  That was cute.  It was humourous because it is something that would never happen in a million-fukk'n-years.

People with Jack's background don't do cute.  They don't lust after affection and hearts and moons and flowers.  That stuff is as alien to them as a Turian suntan lotion.  That cuddly-wuddle shi!t used on Jack would get you a broken spine because she would see it as condescending crap - which it is - and it's probably been used as a weapon against her, a'la "Door", pg 4.

Genuine, heartfelt respect and honest desire for her?  That would win her over a helluva lot quicker.  To me, "cuddly-wuudlies" is up there with the nonsense about "redeeming" Jack with Shepard's magic schlong.

IMO, those who think she's all for the "luvvy-wuvvy" need some condescension - and to grow the fuk up - cos they seriously miss'n da point.

That's probably the best comparison anyone will ever get. I've seen the show to know about it.

Damn good show.  *Shrug*  Anime, like any genre, it's 95% crap, 3% decent and 2% actual art.  Depends on what you're after, I suppose.

Leave it to the Japanese anime fans who successfully ruined a creative industry spanning well over 3 decades with their self-entitlement issues.

Indeed.  "Otaku" in Japan is not complimentary.

But that is ultimately irrelevant in this thread about our favourite bad girl.

She's feeling a little lonely.

*Pic snipped*

Don't know if I've mentioned this before, but a fine piece of work, Axl.  First rate.

"Lovey-dovey" was an exaggeration.  "Lovey-dovey" is relative.  I highly doubt anyone who thinks Jack has a relative "lovey-dovey" side thinks that it's anywhere near Tali's type of "lovey-dovey."

I wouldn't rule it out yorkster.

Jack would make a better cuddler than Tali, I think.  I mean come on, who wants to play footsies under the covers with chicken feet?  Who wants to kiss glass?

Haha, kissing glass... I'll have you know I kiss glass every chance I get:D... okay, I don't. But come one, chicken feet are the damn hottest feature a person could have... okay that's wrong too; you win, my argument is invalid.
I wouldn't rule out Jack cuddling either, I mean, she cuddled in the romance scene right? And that was just at the start of a romantic relationship; how are we to know that it wouldn't increase as they grow closer? That doesn't mean it would, but I can see it going either way.

Hmm, maybe I'm confused. When I played the DA2 demo, it seemed to be about the same, except faster paced. I mean, I would have to click on an enemy and then watch my character attack it (that's what I meant by not controlling every action btw). I prefer having a way to attack and miss due to my own bad aim (so that I'm the one controlling each individual blade swing, at least most of the time); like being able to slash at air if I wanted. If that style of combat was available, I missed it. Either way it's still an awesome game, just seems to not suit my gaming preference at the moment.

Ah ok, ok. THAT'S for the PC version. I was talking about the Xbox 360 version.

Yeah, you don't get that, for the PC. But we're getting off topic.

Unfortunately, I find myself without the will to post an idea. I'll just watch, for now.

DAII's stopped our conversations, eh?

Well, here's a picture of Jack, by gambitgurlisis, showing her musculature.  I find artists tend to ignore that she's quite fit.  Homina.  Or unf, if you prefer.

I'll never understand why people think Jack or Shepard can be waifs and still do everything that they do, of course she'll have to be in shape.

GeneralSlotts193 wrote...

I just recently noticed Jack's "skeleton hand" tattoos on her chest, and wondered if anyone had an interesting theory as too there meaning?

I took it to mean that she embraces death.

As for the chart...

Jack's relaively normal when you think about it.  She's definitely possesive, and "lover" is a quality that you could bestow upon her, but it definitely takes quite a bit work to get to. The only real "defect" I can see anyone placing on Jack is her being guarded, outside of that, the only think that's really unconventional about her is her means of communication.

Nice, looks like I should give the 360 version a try.

And to add relevance to my post:
Jack is the coolest video game character ever created:), but we all know that...er, sorry nothing to start a good conversation or interest anyone... back to watching.

Y'know it could just be my imagination, but does anyone recognize Catwoman's voice in this Batman Arkham City trailer?

Sounds like Courtenay Taylor to me.

It doesn't list her as Catwoman, on her IMDB page.

They haven't listed Catwoman's VA as of yet. There's a few characters that haven't been listed.

Jack is responsive to Shepard's advances, and it's unlikely that she is the "lovey-dovey," touchy-feely type. If Jack liked what she saw, in both Shepard's actions and his appearance, if he turned her down for the "Renegade Pounce," and if he showed neither interest nor disinterest in her, would she be the type of person to make the first move, and express interest in him? Or is she tsundere until the very end?

She did take quite a leap by going up to the captain's cabin for the "romance scene". If Shepard hadn't shown any interest or disinterest in her, then no I don't think it would have happened. But it was still a huge move on her part (Shep could easily turn her away... which is sad to watch:crying:). And my Shep didn't come on very strong with her. I usually chose the neutral option instead of the paragon whenever she questioned his interest in her. That one seemed to play with her head the most by not being very direct, leaving her to wonder how interested he is. Yet she still goes up to his cabin and has the same romance scene as if he had been full paragon in everything he said. So I wouldn't say she's "tsundere" to the end, just usually. Going up to Shep's cabin was a bigger move than any move my version of Shep ever made... and quite the risk for rejection.
