Jack apparently memorized a biotic amp implant at a glance. We don't know if she's able to construct one herself or is capable of replicating the design from memory, but since the upgrade is available anyway, I'm guessing one or the other.

Unless she told Mordin the model number and he hacked the blueprints from somewhere else.

The only thing I can think of when looking at that picture is, "No way Jack would leave all that empty space un-inked."

I third this sentiment.

I "fourth" it?

I "fifth" it!

I think she would at least have surgical scars and surgical tattoos on her legs, let alone tattoos to cover it up. It doesn't make sense to have biotic implants in her upper body but not in her most powerful bone and muscle structure (her legs; upper legs in particular).

They are some nice legs though.

I think the reason the face looks "pasted" on is because the shading throughout the piece isn't consistent. That can be fixed though. I still think it's a nice piece with some damn hot legs.

I'm no tattoo expert and I don't know if it's possible, but it would be awesome if Jack did most of the tats herself. Still, I doubt she would have been able to do the tats on her back ;-)

Let us not underestimate the power of biotics.:)
I actually agree though.

(sorry, I suck at not double posting)

Actually, Sundown, I really like the idea that Jack has some sort of enhanced memory. Maybe it was a side effect of one of the Pragia experiments. If she remembers almost everything that's happened to her, it would help explain why her anger festered the way it did, and why she needed a specific, cathartic experience to help her move on.

Think about it: Thane talks about escaping into a good memory, but most of Jack's memories are painful (at best). I know even an enhanced human memory wouldn't compare to a drell memory, but I like this theory. It's now in my head!canon.

That's interesting... she can memorize a biotic amp, yet her loyalty mission shows that some of the things she remembered about her escape were wrong. I wonder if Cerberus (or someone else) planted biotic amp projects in her mind in Matrix-style (you connect to the PC and it downloads stuff in your brain). However, whatever Cerberus had implanted in her mind 20 or 15 years eariler must be outdated by the time ME2 starts. And why would they store that kind of data in her mind if she was supposed to be a sort of human-weapon and not a scientist? Uhmmm my speculations failed again.

Would Jack use a PC or an XBOX/Console, this is the true question this thread must answer (sorry for derailing topic).

I call Xbox, just because I depicted her kicking Shepard's ass on that console, in S.o.M.

****, that far in the future gaming systems will be 100% optical (your controller or keyboard or whatever will be made out of light), or maybe they'll be in the form of drugs (take a pill to play a game in your head while your body is in a trance-like state); the PC and XBOX or any other hard material console will be as rare as atari. However, if I had to choose between the two I'd say a PC because it's better suited for an artistic/creative mind (which I think Jack has). Consoles have limited customization and upgrade capacity, and can't be used for very much of anything other than gaming; and they are "too mainstream" (sarcasm), which we know Jack is not.

It also requires precision, and patience. I don't think Jack values those requirements very much.

Won't deny the creative bit, though. Posted Image

Hello,

Just a quick question to all you Jack fans. How do you reckon Jack would take to someone who just didn't care care about her tough-girl persona? Not in the haughty way that, say, Miranda does but just in a kinda "Okay.....and?" way?

@Sundown: I agree with you, Xbox and button-mashing for the win. I can see Jack wanting to blow of steam with a nice shooter more than I can see her intensely modding an RPG. (Of course, now that I say that, all I can think of is Jack obsessing over getting her character "just right").

Good point. Maybe she would use both then?

Funny you say that. I prefer a PC for shooters and a console for RPGs myself (though I still usually use PC). The mouse is just so much more accurate for shooting someone in the face.

@edge: Accuracy is no substitute for the trigger motion of the Xbox controller! And we all know how Jack likes to pull the trigger herself when shooting someone, lol.

Ah, true. Though neither compare to shooting an actual gun...

That thing it has to get attached to makes it look like a gun from Portal. This is coming from a guy that is completely unfamiliar with the game, so bear with me.

But speaking of which, a handgun controller might beat a console controller anyday, in Jack's eyes. I bet she'd kill, in Time Crisis. Heh.

I was thinking about the relationship between her and Miranda, just a few minutes ago. Although I maintain my belief that the two will NEVER like each other, Jack can at least tolerate Miranda, at times, and vice versa. I'm thinking of writing a short story about it, but I would need to knock another story out of the way, first. Or at least one chapter.

Passing out, now.

Yeah! Jack would like the Time Crisis games, and maybe the House of the Dead games. Too bad arcade machines will be long gone by the time of ME. Jack would be a hoot to bring to an arcade.

I don't know about that. According to some fanart I've seen on DeviantArt, the omnitool can be used for more than just hacking, repairing, and bypassing. Then there's that salarian guy, selling games at the Citadel.

Arcade machines might still be there, they just probably won't come in the form of a giant box, anymore. Or maybe they would, if Flux still looks the same, after two years.

I was going to hold off talking about this, seeing as it would most likely spoil Son of Mindoir, but seeing as I've yet to start the next chapter, I'm just going to come out and ask:

There are only two women that interest me. Jack, of course, and Ashley Williams. I've put that interest in James, and in near future of Son of Mindoir, she is going to make an appearance. I made it so that Ashley and James had something, but it got dropped in favor of getting the mission done after Udina locked down the Normandy, in ME1.

Fast forward two years, and the recent events in S.o.M is calling the Alliance to the colony to defend it. Seeing as the colony is home to someone who holds a special place in her heart, Ash is going to show up there.

My question is this: once Jack finds out about Shepard and Ashley, how do you think she'd handle it? Would she confront the both of them? Or would she just not care?

I've got this vision of Jack needling Ashley about the situation she just put herself in, and Ashley refraining from commenting on any of it, seeing as it's technically not the reason she's come to Mindoir. But then things get physical when Jack starts getting increasingly personal with the needling.

Chell really does have her prison jumpsuit tied off at her waist, just like Jack. Can't unsee.

Considering that you can take Jack with to horizon with you and Ash openly states that she loved Shep, I think she already knows.

I don't think Jack would give a damn about anyone from Shep's past showing up - she knows everyone has a past, and the past has other people in it. She might smirk and wonder why Shep was ever with some timid little washed out thing like that (bearing in mind her serious badass status), but I can't see her making anything out of it...

... unless the old flame tries to interfere in their current relationship. I can see Jack as a little possessive and confrontational, and in the same hand I can see her watching and wondering about why Shep would want to be with her if there is something in that previous relationship she sees as being more healthy, happier, whatever, and indulging in some self-sabotage; pushing Shep away or attempting to just dissolve the relationship because Shep deserves someone not as baggage-leaden and poisonous as her. While Jack can front with the best of them, get all up in that new person's face and threaten them with all manner of pain, we know she does maudlin self-punishment well too.

Y'know, as allergic as I am to the idea of an LI catfight... It would be nice to see Jack stick up for herself. Once. For a change.

She's just left so much up to inevitability so far. It's not so much "self-punishment" as it is resignation. Bad things happen to her because life is like that. Bad people happen to her because people are like that. Nothing will ever change it, and so on and so forth.

But presumably after having been presented with the concept of hope for the first time in, well, ever, a ghost from Shepard's past presents a situation where she can step in and stop it. Say "No. Back of the line. Being good enough for him means being better than you."

So while a catfight speaks to everything wrong in my better nature, and although I don't think it'll actually happen... But busting an ass in the name of hope and character development? I can get behind that.
