Yeah, I don't think there was any official say, but it did sound like they were using her from the start. Once she was done with her usefulness, it sounds like they were either going to ditch her, leave her to die, or kill her. Either way, it wasn't something she was going to let handle. Since she's been on the run most of her life with people either trying to kill, use, or capture her, she feels it's better to be overly cautious, even if that means killing a few people who "might" screw her over.

Question: How many paragons vs renegades out there make up her fan base? Stereotyping would say it would mostly be renegades, but I'm full on paragon and she's my favorite, so just seeing what the rest are.

I was saying: look, these various reactions by the fans about her appearance, is all on the surface. I don't care if the visual design "works" or not. If they can't see past that, then screw them, I don't care. Likewise, we shouldn't be hung up over her appearance either!
I often expect people to read my mind, instead of just being more articulate. That and I was too lazy yesterday.

(Also, I was poking around looking for Jack comics for a thing I'm working on, and found this one here on BSN. It is sad and slightly disturbing, but gives a good insight into her character.)

Oh, really? I guess I didn't catch that part, I heard her explanation but always assumed she overreacted to signals that either weren't there or at least didn't mean they were going to kill her. If they were using her for her power I assumed they'd know better than to try that.

I was actually thinking of Chell when I mentioned the wifebeater. She's wearing something closer to a tank-top, but I think a wifebeater would be a nice reference to classic punk rock. And I'm not talking "cute plaid skirt" punk, I'm talking spit-into-your-face, rusty safety pin punk.

Yeah, I can't lie, I actually do have that complex a lot. It's an issue, but at least I'm self aware of it. You're probably right that I'm not the only one, either.

I for one would actually like to see Jack in some formal, socialy acceptable (Not Victorian era obciously) attire just to see how uncomfortable should be. Like a toned down My Fair Lady.

I don't actualy care either way as long as her charecters shows actual growth (both physical & psychological) and is not just a cameo. You know what? It's a small thing but I want to see Jack smoking when we first see her, striking a pose
