You're gunna have to explain that one to me, York. It kinda looks like he's getting fondled

@zewuok
Yeah, I've got mine at 3. Most of the time it looks good but sometimes it's like

Also got dynamic shadows and spherical harmonic lighting which sounded too good not to enable.

Yep, I have the other ones you've mentioned enabled, without them the game doesn't look good and they don't hurt the performance, yay!
And I have to admit that I got used to the lack of red light, so I don't know if I'm going to increase them to 3 when I finally upgrade my Sweetie.
I find the red light weird sometimes- on that two screenshots you've posted the glow is on Jack's body only, shouldn't it be on walls and pipes too? It seems like there's a red bulb hovering around her all the time.

oooohhh, maybe it's HAL 9000?

It's from the movie "Office Space".  He's explaining what the "Oh-Face"/"O-Face" (Orgasm) face is, by demonstrating it.

EDIT: Really beautiful screenshots, brah.

It only goes on sometimes.  The lighting actually changes when the camera switches people, so I probably capped a few in flycam when I shouldn't have.

lol I've seen that movie but don't remember. Gotta be an O face  although I've seen people make the same expression right before they vomit, so, yeah. Good times.

Having Jack in the shot is sortuv cheating, but thanks.

Jack: "Where the hell can I get eyes like that?"
Shepard: "Gotta kill a few people"
Jack: "I can do it"

Why would Jack want to replace her pretty eyes?  :o  See Andaius' pictures, above.

I was just quoting Pitch Black. Jack asks Riddick how she can get eyes like that B)

You know the significance, yes?

That's just Miranda giving her best quizzical dog look. Mondo has a motivational for it :P

I think with everyone except Jack it would actually add expression. Makes the blank stare-over-the-shoulder-of-the-person-in-front-of-you less obvious imo.

Thanks, Epantiras.  Saving that for when/if it becomes appropriate to use.

How do I get this in my signature? Seriously epic.

I know, but there's something wrong with that picture, the hair or blank stare that makes it look weird (at least to me). I haven't thought of it as a quizzical dog look and now it's burned into my brain and will have impact in my future playthroughs

To keep this post in topic- for few last days I can't get Let's Dance out of my head and I caught myself imagining a situation like this: Shep's entourage on a shore leave, chilling out in some Flux-like bar. After quaffing a few drinks everybody hit the dancefloor and start showing off their mad dancing skills (yes, that includes Shep's awkward I really need to go to the toilet leg shuffle). Mordin ad Jack are sitting and watching them- the salarian does it for science and Jack has this slightly embarrassed expression on her face. Then Shep shuffles closer to them, urging Jack to join him. She declines (not so politely) so Shep goes back to the dancefloor. Few moments later, after watching the Commander getting his ass owned by a dancing turian (Garrus, that is) and one surprsingly flexible for her age asari matriarch, she decides to save the humanity from eternal shame and...
...and that's when Bowie stops singing and I don't get any more visions ;) But I suppose biotics must be nimble because of the moves they have to master to actually use their powers through implants.

And if he so much as says a word, she yells again "Well, considering I've watched you embarass your ass in public for half an hour, what's ten more minutes of embarassment in private?"

Shep would never dance again... :D

Oh, Mondo, why do you have such dislike for Shepard's Heroic Virility?

you know jack is actually one of those characters im REALLY interested in seeing how she develops and changes for ME3. i mean most of the characters are going to be roughly the same, garrus, tali, ect.

However if you do the nice emotional romance with Jack, her character has an opportunity for some really interesting character development, more so than any other i think.

the only characters i think could even compare in the sheer magnitude of character development and change in ME3 is the VS but thats only due to their long time apart andt he possibility for lots of stuff to happen to them. Jack however is full character development.

also. first time posting in this thread i think. so i'd have to admit initially i HATED jack. i thought she was a cliched bad tough girl character. but then my second playthrough i romanced her and was completely blown away at how much of a different light her romance makes everything. my opinion of her took a full 180. so now i think she's great.

my third playthrough i tried romancing tali but she was annoying so i went back to jack lol

There really is so much Bioware could do with her character.  I'm looking forward to Jack's role in ME3, too.

Ok. It was in response to the "Jack is Jack even in a sundress." The truth is she isn't. Art direction for movies, photography, and video games is for the sole purpose of reinforcing a character. For example, a dark character in a dark situation would dress in a way that would relfect the character's persona in the situation they're in. Thereofre, Jack in a sundress wouldn't be Jack unless there was a reason for it in her personality. If she was a person, perhaps you can make the argument that she's being ironic, its laundry day, or she's wearing it just because. But in a game or movie, the design is chosen with a purpose. See a "sexy" version of Jack might be a goth look with a mini skirt or something, it fits with her personality (to a degree) but she doesn't wear anything like that since a ravaged prison suit and leather bra makes more sense for a fugitive on the run.

So, changing a character's appearance whithout changing their personality wouldn't happen with a good art director.
