Quoth Mondo 47: "Yes, I dismiss that claim too, Funk... that was some pretty damn slipshod writing. Bad dog, Bioware."
I dunno, I kinda see where Ashley or Kaidan might be coming from. I had a cat named Sammy when I was a kid. Fun cat. Got hit by a car. Now if you told me that not only was Sammy still alive, but doing something morally reprehensible (like, say, being the head writer for Two and a Half Men), my first reaction would be "BAD SAMMY! NO CATNIP!"
I was more trying to say that Shep's writing is the bad side of it all - he/she isn't really given a chance to give their side of it all. Kaidan and Ash just vent at them, and Shep is left with no room to explain anything. The scene is just too short to develop any real pathos, instead your LI just comes off as a bit of an insufferable hag/whining douche. The bad writing is not in the understandable response of Ash/Kaidan, but in Shep's rather dull and sleepy handling of the situation... I mean, someone tells you you've lost two years of your life and then fate throws your lover at you, when as far as your feelings and memories are concerned, you were knocking boots still a couple of weeks ago. Shep's reaction (or real lack thereof) is what makes them come off as insensitive to the reality of Shep's situation... a couple more lines was all that was needed there to make the scene work. I stand by my bad dog, Bioware

Who's hoping Jack grows her hair out for ME3?
Only if she looks like Nina Hagen did in the 80's, otherwise, no dice
In all seriousness, I perfer her the way she is. Jack with hair would be a bit too much like giving up what makes Jack Jack.

But going back to the subject at hand, Epantiras raises a good point, as well as another one of theose trademark Jack questions. If Purgatory was still part of the experiment... Then who's to say the experiment's ended yet?
I don't put anything agaisnt Ceberus. While I truly think they did loose her a few times in the past I also wonder how many of those groups she was running with had Ceberus connections. After all, Miranda openly admits that one Ceberus cell does not know who any other members are. For all we know there could have been Ceberus spies in that cult, perhaps in one or two of the gangs, ect.

My God, you'll never believe what I saw last night.
For a period of about ten seconds, the Tali fan thread... was actually ON PAGE 2! I wish I had gotten a screen capture for such a historic event, but trust me, it happened!
Obviously, they needed that sticky after all, I was a fool to doubt.

Maybe as an alternate costume. At first I didn't like the almost-baldness that much, but it's grown on me big time and now I couldn't picture her any other way.Geth Knight wrote...

I'm just thinking that one of those NPC female hairstyles would work for Jack. The one that looks unkept but goes down to her eyes. I saw it on one of the FemShep videos on youtube.

I'm neutral, myself, as it's slowly dawned on me that Jack is so well-written that, when confronted with the small scale reality of playing ME2, she comes across more as a person than any of the other crewmates. She wants to grow her hair? Hell, who am I to judge?

Only thing is I don't see her having a reason to grow her hair out if she isn't a LI. Not sure if Bioware would have a special hairstyle for her for being a LI or not. I'm fine with her haircut, matches up nicely with Shep's

Hm, I like her how she is now, if she grows it out you won't be able to see the little tattoo strip on her head or whatever. I could live with it growing slightly. Maybe something like this?
Hell no. I find that hairdue extremely butchy. There's concept art of her with different hairdue's, but only one looks good. If she grows her hair out it must look like this and only this:

But I think I would prefer that Jack keep her shaved head.

I quite like that look on Nat... I have a secret Peter Pan fetish that I grew up with before I was old enough to grasp that Peter Pan was usually played by a woman on stage. While I find it nearly impossible to distance the lovely Miss P from Matilda in Leon* (and thus making her 'hawt' creepy beyond words, even now she's all grown up), I think it's easier to think she's hot with her hair like that... and being hawt is a part of Jack (to me at least... I'm allowed, ok).
I love cross-posting this so much, I'll pop this in here - the hairstyle in question's there, and so is the sailor's mouth
* If only Thane had been more like Leon... *le sigh*

I actually like a couple of the hairstyles they show in the concept art. I have a bit of a thing for the one of her with the white dreadlocks for some reason. I also like the shaved-sides-with-pony-tail one. Also, the corn-row-ish styles are interesting. However, I have been trying to mentally picture what Jack would look like with a decent fauxhawk. Something like this:

Edit: Decided to just link the picture instead of crowding the page with yet another one.

Would prefer it if she "kept the haircut".
Especially if the alternatives are anything like those seen in those concept art line-ups, which all look like something out of 'Tank Girl', ugh.

I think the worry with her growing hair, however, is that it might be a signifier that they're "softening" the character to make her more palatable and less "love her or hater her." I want Jack to show growth and a little softer personality in ME3, but I don't want her to turn totally Chickified and girly in order to get more people to like her. She is who she is, and that's what draws me, and I think a lot of her fans, to her specifically. If Bioware would have her grow out her hair, wear more feminine clothing, and look more womanly, it'd be a sellout.
So, to sum up all that: hair or not, Jack needs to stay Jack.
