The authorities will still come to arrest her even if she did her time at Purgatory and helped Shepard take down the collectors.

But with the reaper threat making itself felt in every corner of the universe, they might possibly let her go in favour of more immediate priorities or make it her new community service. If she dies along the way then good enough for them.

I'm playing it right now, myself.  Being as Taylor uses her Jack voice for background characters, I've taken to pestering random female gamblers in Gomorrah.  It's like finally hearing new Jack dialogue.  Especially if it's something Jack might actually say.

"This place smells like booze and sex.  That's why I keep coming back."

"I hope my dad doesn't find out how much these hookers cost."

"The f--k are you looking at?"

We don't know which of her crimes put Jack in Purgatory and she's still wanted judging from LotSB mugshot. Was she found guilty by the Council races in general or just one of them? For instance- she served her time for crashing a base into the Hanar moon but maybe Turians still want to get her for killing bunch of them earlier? There's no codex entry for judiciary in ME world.

I think Jack will be on some kind of probation after she saves the Yooniverse from destruction. She'll be free to go but they'll not turn a blind eye for crimes she may commit later.

Oh, you mean that girl in the Crimson Caravan compound that that Boomer wanted to ask out?  Oddly enough, that Boomer was named Jack.

Also, I noticed you referred to the actress' "Jack Voice?" Is that not her normal voice? Didn't strike me as anything out of the ordinary or unnatural or whatever.

Speaking of New Vegas. What a bloody game. Easily the RPG of the generation.

Jack -- equip Geth Plasma Shotgun + class Power to Primal Vanguard + Heavy Warp Ammo = Damn good player. Even on Hardcore/Insanity.

Still might get overagressive and die every now and again, but noticeably kicks butt under those settings.

I've listened to Taylor's voice reel and that woman is diverse. So much so that I'm not willing to place a bet on what her real voice sounds like. Hell, I even watched that episode of iCarly she was on and yes, she sounds completely different.

As for New Vegas, great game. Won't go so far as to praise it as highly as you, but I won't kick it off my shelf for eating cookies.

I always felt that "Jack's voice" was an angry/pissed off Courtney, and certain New Vegas NPC's like that Boomer chick for instance is Courtney's normal voice, and then you've got Alpha Protocol and and her sexy/seductress voice, but that's just my opinion don't go spreading it around.

Cass is great, but where's the love for Veronica, Raul, and Lilly. I mean who doesn't love a big ugly grandma with a penchant for hacking people to bits.

Noted.  I imagined Mordin might say something inappropriate on Pragia, with him being technically spoken and all. I also never take Kasumi cuz, well, she might make a joke or something

Somehow I doubt it. At this point with Jack, she's probably too much trouble to ignore, apprehend, or imprison. It's in every race's best interest to just slap a bounty on her head before another innocent moon bites the space dust.

I think the reason I hear "Jack sucks" all the time is due to expectations from her taking out those mechs and kickin ass on her recruit mission. In that case, I'm equally disappointed that Thane isn't snapping Collector's necks from the shadows, Garrus isn't taking on 3 merc bands and a gunship by himself, Kasumi isn't climbing up walls and doing backflips, Samara isn't flying around, etc.

As for the overaggressiveness in battle, all the shotgun users suffer from this. They need to get in range, so they run up close and die before getting into cover. I used to simply make them use their other gun, but after awhile I got good at directing squaddies, and the gloriously OP geth plasma shotty allowed them use a shotgun effectively without dying. Jack also doesn't hop on top of boxes with no cover like certain squaddies do all the friggen time <_< or run ahead 30 feet like she's Wonder Woman

I assumed you implied that anyone wishing to apprehend Jack were dumb because they'd have to go through Shepard. But they would anyway.

Apparently Jack will be able to Pull shields right out of enemy's hands. And she'll have a melee attack that knocks everyone near them away and stuns them.

Of course they would try. Whether it's Shepard or the Grey Warden or Hawke, everyone thinks they can 1v1 you even after you've slaughtered your way across the land/galaxy with ease against 50 to 1 odds

Again, the Reapers are a bit of a priority, but just like when Saren was a priority, there seems to always be random nonessential bs you're forced or not forced to deal with.

Well, not necessarily Jack, but Adepts.  Jack should get it anyway.  Her "classification" should change from Vanguard to Adept, so that she can take advantage of these cool new biotic abilities.

You're right. Vanguards/Soldiers/Infiltrators probably have weapon-melees while the others use their abilities. But since you don't even have to use shotguns on a Vanguard, Idk how it can be that specific. Knocking everyone around you to the ground with biotics is SO JACK! Not having that just wouldn't be fair. Also, they said more skills, right? Singularity? PLEASE? Liara gets it but not Jack and Samara?!

Actually, I don't know if we can even talk about this...

Ok, not discussing the Cerberus stuff I understand. Actual plot spoilers I understand, but we're talking about the different ways we can punch people, I mean cmon.

Also, speaking of ME3 spoilers, I'd suggest to use a big [SPOILER] tag before writing them. I assume that as soon as we get our hands on the first info about Jack in ME3 everybody will be here to rejoice and/or rant.We won't be able to avoid spoilers forever, but I'd be grateful if we kept the [SPOILER] tag rule. Unless Bioware decides to create a ME3 subforum: if this happens, then I suggest we open a new Jack thread there so we can keep the ME3 spoilers away from this one.

I've just read who's a perm squadmate in ME3 as of now. So now that I've got my ME1 dreamsquad back - I also want my ME2 dreamsquad, which include everyone. Because this might be a little far fetched - I at least hope that all the LI are getting the same treatment.

I suggest we all exile ourselves at LEAST 2 or 3 weeks before release. We're getting some hefty spoilers already and the game won't be out for nearly a year, yet.

I see what you mean, but It's going to cause a sh*tstorm sooner or later. Describing in detail or posting pictures of the redesign prematurely I can understand being inappropriate, but things like "She was a popular romance option" or "If they were your LI, they'll definitely be permanent" shouldn't tie up anyone's panties.

Bioware isn't going to screw up their baby. At the most she'll wear more clothes and be genuinely happy to the point where she cries all the time

I'd believe that if Singularity didn't suck in ME2 (probably because it was OP in ME1). It's a technicality for me because Jack should have it, Samara moreso, regardless of how ineffective I think it is. I'm just hoping they fix the aiming for it. I also don't feel threatened by powerful allies. Your squad can never compete with Shepard because of thier low DPS and limited number of talents.

They did say Veteran is Normal, and the flipside to that is "your own attacks can be truly brutal without unbalancing the game". If this applies to Jack then I can forgive her not "obtaining" talents like Reave and Singularity. I stand behind the notion that they have all the powers of their class at their disposal but can't use them because uhhm....they only have so many talent points and were forced to pick their favorites
