Jack began to regret her relationship with Shepard when she discovered his fetish for reenacting 70's album covers.

l.o.l you win, Bobby.

And the image of Shepard singing Born to Run with Jack rocking the saxophone solo could not be eliminated :D

I posted this in a new topic last night (Mass Effect meats Hollywood King Arthur (Jack's main appearance)).  At the time I didn't think about posting it here instead.

"I was watching the movie "King Arthur" that was released in 2004 and noticed something oddly familiar.  Keira Knightley's warrior outfit in the final battle looks very much like Jack's main appearance.  Anyone else agree, or am I just crazy? "

I remember all the lulz when I saw Keira's ridiculous outfit in that movie... and I also remember they photoshopped her boobs in the movie poster to make them bigger...call it selective memory ;-)

Anyway, both Keira's character and Jack are female warrior who have that boyish look because of their outfit. Thumbs up for noticing the similarity!

That's uncanny. Thankfully Jack isn't so hopelessly endowed as Kiera, but I still wouldn't be surprised if Jack got an upgrade

Wouldn't mind that outfit for an alt appearance.

Jack is no ordinary bunny. She is the most foul, cruel, and bad tempered rodent you ever set eyes on! She's got a vicious streak a mile long, she's a killer!

Yeah, she is cute isn't she?:wub::wub:

You mean she's a smartass, right? "Don't get cute with me!" :innocent:

I was browsing the timeline that York graciously presented to me and I saw this:

Jack is 25? All I saw from her dossier was that she was an infant in 2165 so where do they get 2161 from? Given the "infant" status she's more like 21 or 22, no? I didn't even notice this when I played LotSB. My mind = blown.

She seems like she could be 25. In fact to be honest I feel like she acts more like shes 25 than 21.

I noticed the discrepancy too, Goat. I had been treating the dossier as fact until I became aware of the wiki info.

She looks younger than 25.

Then again, so do a lot of people IRL.

By the way, does anyone know any good music videos with Jack? The only good one I know is

I love how hauntingly well the lyrics fit Jack.

I am the storm I am the wonder
And the flashlights nightmares
And sudden explosions

I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

It's about you and the sun
A morning run
The story of my maker
What I have and what I ache for

I've got a golden ear
I cut and I spear
And what else is there

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo / Jack

Lisbeth Salander, excuse me, Jack rather,

when i first played ME2 i couldn't help but be overwhelmed by the similarities. The attitude, tattoos (obviously), the experiments and injustices inflicted on her and her hardening as a result. but i left my thoughts at that and thought hmmmm; merely coincidence or someone there read the Stieg Larson novels (with the rest of the billion people that did)

It makes me wonder (or hope) that jacks new look may play even more into the Lisbeth character. what did bioware say: make her look more mature or something. Well the character in the novel not only wheres disguises to pull of huge corporate heists she goes so far as having a tattoos removed and a boob job. Right on! a skinny tattoo'd, society beaten punk, getting breast implants for all the right reasons ... whats not to adore?????

It scarred me that Joe Jubba alluded to in the game informer pod cast (i can link it if anyone wants to hear it) that how could bioware put that much effort into the characters that may very well not be alive. i hated that he said that. got a peng of depression even. technically yeah i could understand that but isn't bioware routing for personal decision on the players behalf not potential failure. i worked hard to keep jack alive. i hated her at first and found her by the end of the of my first play through far and away one of the coolest characters i have ever met in a video game. incredibly impressed that bioware would even push the envelope on a character like this and pull it of so damn well. after rereading the first of the Dragon Tattoo novel again i could just imagine jack well dressed with one of those awfully stereotypical hair do's from the concept art only to pull the wig off and the rest of the facade before biotic pummeling cerberus face's in and of course living happily ever after with sheperd. thats my game.

anyway, hope i haven't offended anyone somehow. except maybe Joe Jubba.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo / Jack

I did about a page on this a few weeks ago, but long story short...

There's a paper that could be written comparing and contrasting Jack and Salander.  The chief difference being that Salander was (and is) in a whole mess of trouble because of the nature of her birth, what with who her father is, etcettera.  Jack, on the other hand, was a victim of a whole bunch of random accidents.  If her mom took her to a different doctor on a different day, she could have been a stockbroker for all we know.  Salander could only be Salander.  Jack could be anyone.   In fact if I had to pin the Salander tag on anyone in Mass Effect 2, it'd be Miranda (which leads to hope that we can set Mr. Lawson on fire some time during during ME3).

Now as for this Jubba fellow?  Well, I'd rather be a hopeful fool than a passimistic coward.  Keep the faith.

It says she's born in 2161, but the surveillance transcript from LotSB quotes the doctor who kidnapped her saying "this isn't the first infant we've lost this way" in 2165. Who, especially a medical doctor, refers to a 4 year old as an infant?

@Marblecraze

That's pretty untuitive. I honestly don't know how far Bioware will go, but if anyone can pull off what you described, it's Jack B) I occasionally listen to the GI podcast, which one was it?

@Zall

That's a pretty mellow tune B) That particular video wasn't available in my country so I had to run a search. Pretty uncanny lyrics, like you said, right down to the golden ear

@ Roy
Awesome! and thank you for the vote of faithful confidence, normally i have it but somehow he just really knocked me down a few notches. regardless im over it ...

any chance i could get a link to page you did a few weeks ago? ,for the sake of interest. interesting thoughts on miranda. i really hadn't connected the simple connection with mirandas father, genetic modification (salanders implant? well enough) but yes Zalachenko, or Mr. Lawson would burn nicely dont you think? And Slander had a sister as well, named only. maybe reread book 2 and 3 soon. red them so damn fast i basically forgot them.

this is my first post and was worried id be beaten up for it. looking fwd to more of this. ty both of you.

Garrus is back along with Jack:
"She's
matured," admits Art Director Derek Watts, "maybe she's softened up a
bit. You can only stay punk rock for so long, you know. Even Johnny
Rotten eventually goes, 'I've got to do something different'. She'd get
tired of walking around completely naked and she'd probably grow her
hair out, but she's still Jack and still kinda punk - shaved at the
sides with a ponytail at the back"

So, basically #5, then. I... could get behind that, actually.  Or, I guess it could be #3, but really, Jack?  Pink?  SO not you.

I was on the tram, heading home, when I read the news on my phone, and I did a little happy dance, right then and there. No one seemed to care. Good fortune for me.
