Although, I do like reading that the redesigns are being handled by the original designers; makes my guess that one of those concept art sketches is going to be Jack's new look even more likely. I always did like those. And the fact that Jack is mentioned in the same breath as Ashley and Kaidan, who are getting beaucoup attention in the inital run-up, is another reason to be optimistic.

I'd have to say, It would be pretty sweet to have Jack back in the game. It would mean both of my two favorite Love Interests are full squadmates.

[SPOILER]
Less than 12 squaddies, huh? Zaeed and Kasumi probably aren't going to be permanent. Looks like Casey alluded that Mordin and Thane aren't full squaddies either
Jack 05, huh? "Maybe she's softened up a bit", huh? I cannot wait to see this. Wait, what a stupid saying, of course I can wait.

I'm guessing Jack will probably be one of the bonus squad mates. Although her return could be something smaller than that. I'm curious how Bioware will handle these loyalty mission 2.0s. Something around Liara in Mass Effect 2 would be great for Jack fans. Well... a little more.
Why? Why are you guessing that? Why would a 90 min mission be good for Jack fans? How could that be good for fans? I don't understand.

I'm going to need a blunt "Jack is a full time companion" from Bioware before I believe it.
Regarding her appearance, it sounds like she's sporting an undercut.
(first example that came to mind)
I can get behind that.

I've always liked Jack as a friend, but I thought she was really overdoing the whole psycho b**ch thing. And those...straps. Ugh. Seriously Bioware, that was over the top. But hey, I kinda like Jack as my psycho friend. We all need some crazy every now and then.
Secondly, I've always found Miranda and Jack to be very similar. Both were created by men without any moral conscience (Miranda by her father, Jack by Teltin's scientists), both are powerful biotics, both have daddy issues, both were abused during their childhood (Miranda getting everything she wanted is nothing more than bribery. And we all know what the law has to say about bribery) both have lots of skeletons in their closets...you get the point.
Which is why I can't understand the damn Miranda haters in this thread.
All the other threads I've seen have pretty much banned or actively discourage flaming of other characters. For example, the Thane and Miranda threads have banned it, the Tali thread eventually banned it, but over here...everyone looks away and starts whistling. Please people. Quit flaming and grow up, okay?
With that...crazy Jack with proper clothing and some hair needs to be in ME3.

I've lurked in this thread since it's inception and never really felt like posting anything, until i read that jack is going to be a full squaddie, and literally ran around flailing my arms around in excitement. Jack's my favorite character in pretty much all videogames. I can't be happier!

There's plenty of reason to dislike Miranda. I don't expect you to acknowledge it, though.
Also, you're late. We stopped talking about Miranda for a while now.
From personal experience, Miranda's fandom is way more obnoxious than Jack's. Rather than trolling this thread, you should play attention to how your fellow Miridians (is that what they're called?) act to avoid sounding like a major hypocrite.
I can't speak for the others, but I never trolled a Miranda thread. You're trolling a Jack thread, though.
Anyway, if you must, go flame Jack fans and Jack herself in your little clubhouse. I don't see Jack fans raiding the Miranda thread to trash-talk anobody, so I don't see what gives you the right to do that here.

Really looking forward to seeing how they redesign Jack without causing her to lose her uniqueness.

I don't really understand why Miranda fans feel the need to come over here JUST to defend Miranda.... Do Jack fans go over to the Miranda thread and bash her? I have no idea, because I've never been to the Miranda thread. I'm not her fan, so I just don't visit her thread. I'm not a huge fan of Liara or Morinth either, so I don't visit their threads, but it doesn't mean that I bash them. Is that typical of Jack fans?
The only thing I've seen here is a lot of pro-Jack stuff, excitement about her return in ME3, and an awful lot of Jack screenshots! That's what I like to see. I guess the subject of Miranda is bound to come up since Miranda and Jack lock horns so often, but I'm here for Jack. I could take or leave Miranda.
And this is going to look like I'm showing off my Shepard more than talking about Jack, but this is my absolute favourite moment for Jack. I'm sure it is for a lot of her fans. It just.... Ah, this scene, it brought Jack's character to such a beautiful point, and made getting to know her so worth it. <3

I'm not convinced that Jack and Shepard had sex, though. I guess the scene is ambiguous, so you could view it either way, but when I saw it for the first time, I was pretty certain that all my Shepard did was kiss Jack and hold her. And that's absolutely fine, given that actual sex isn't what Jack needed.
I wonder if that will be an issue in ME3? Like, Jack coming to terms with actual intimacy with her Shepard. I mean, I doubt that Jack is "fixed." She probably has no idea how to manage a relationship long-term, especially since she or Shepard could die at any moment.
If you can't tell, the continuation of Jack's romance is one of the things I'm really interested in. It makes me so eager for ME3!

As for the rest of the story, Jack is the best biotic they put into the series, both in terms of cinematic power displays and her in-combat statistics. I do not want a gloomy L2 (Kaiden) or a near-infant Asari (Liara) as my only biotic choices for fighting the Reapers.

It also was annoying during the suicide mission when Jack mentioned she could create a biotic field to protect the crew and Miranda then interjects "I could do it too..."
Whatever.
Miranda eventually redeemed herself partially when she refuses the Illusive Man's order to stop me from destroying the base, but as far as I am concerned she still owes Jack an apology...especially since Cerberus has become a major antagonist in ME3.

As far as Miranda goes, I dunno. She didn't really bother me to much but she didn't get me to like her the most either so I was mostly neutral on her. The choice between her and Jack was pretty easy though, even on my not romancing Jack play trough.

Which is why I can't understand the damn Miranda haters in this thread.Seriously? You're hating on the 'more refined with a slightly better upbringing' version of Jack? For no good reason? Grow the hell up or GTFO, seriously. Talimancers hating Miranda with childlike fervor, I can understand. But you, the supposedly more mature gamers doing that? Sure, you don't like Miranda. Fine. But that's NO reason to go around flaming the Mirimancers like me and spam almost every thread/video comment involving Miranda with hate comments which I do not want to quote because you boys should know very well what you've said.
All the other threads I've seen have pretty much banned or actively discourage flaming of other characters. Not all of us are boys. Bit presumptuous eh?
I am a fan of Miranda but people are entitled to dislike someone.
Why try and be "nice" then attack the people on this thread, it's about Jack, not Miranda and I havent seen any recent posts flaming her. Or should I add a smiley to be cute? Meh.

Yes, but this is because Samara is an altruistic individual, whereas Jack merely wants to survive the mission. Thus it stands to reason that she would only volunteer to place herself in that vulnerable postion if it was the only viable option to get on with the mission, and to get out alive (or merely to protect Shepard, who is basically her only friend).Jedi Master of Orion wrote...
It's usually Samara who first suggests the Biotic field on the suicide mission unless she's been killed first.
Also, Samara does not have to die for Jack to volunteer, since you can launch the suicide mission without recruiting her at all. This can make perfect sense from a roleplaying perspective since every moment you waste after the Collector Ship could (at least in character knowledge) result in more human colonies being hit.
