I've come across so many Miranda fans who think they're a big person for defending their favorite character by personally insulting the actual people IN ANOTHER CHARACTER THREAD. I've become desensitized to it.

There was some constructive criticism and bashing we did like A WEEK ago that resulted in yet MORE personal attacks, where Woo ended up telling us to move on. Siha probably just got the memo, so he/she comes in here generalizing us as haters and boys who need to grow up. Hah!

Here's the thing, Jack and Miranda are similar (Bioware's plan, obviously), but Jack knows nothing about Miranda's life, Miranda knows EVERYTHING that happened to Jack. The fact she can't feel ONE BIT of sympathy and personally insults the life that CERBERUS forced on her is one of the many reasons I dislike her character.

Nobody I know goes into the Miranda thread and starts a flame war, and if they do, it's the fault of the individual, not everyone in the thread of said individual's favorite character. And congrats, Siha, you managed to also insult the Tali fans while you were bashing us

I notice a curious connection between Miranda, her personal insults, and some of Miranda's fans.
It's like they're the same person!

Oh I'm gunna do it. This playthrough. Jack volunteering to put herself in more danger? I always felt like Jack was reluctantly doing it cuz I always order her to, but this changes everything! I know that whole mission has a high fatality risk, but the fact that She-Who-Does-Not-Give-A-Sh!t actually steps forward? Wow.

As a canon Sole Survivor, I have to agree. Love the art by itself, too, naturally Jack can really help comfort that background, imo. Same with Colonist and Earthborn.

I wonder if reading the comic gave her a deeper understanding of the charecter and wether she might play Jack slightly different now even though Jack will be a little softer (read  more stable) since we last saw her

The others I'm blanking on, but this I can shed some light on:  I think at some point there must have been a mechanic where you could shove teammates out of the way or push them or something.  Each character has a few quotes along the lines of "Getting out of your way" or "Okay, I'm moving, jeez."  That line is one of Jack's quotes.  I guess at some point maybe they were worried they'd run into some Drone Jam and wanted a way for Shepard to move folks, but that's just a guess.

That line cracked me up during my all Jack&Mordin playthrough, because she ended up carrying that sh!t anyway

Haha! I took her and Tali so that's probably why I never heard it. This nextShepard playthrough is supposed to romance Tali but I'm gunna end up taking Jack everywhere

So they cut it because they eventually made them move automatically when you approach them? Laaaaame! I have to hear more Swearing!Jack, I need it!

Nobody has insight on the other lines, huh? "Nasty" sounds like a combat line I never heard, and "Holy sh!t" sounds like something she'd say when you look at those dragon's teeth or something. I totally want to insert these into the mix of Jack's combat lines regardless.

Jack's response to Roger Sheperd on Korlus over the situation with the blue suns merc who was not in any real threat of dying. I know "funny" doesn't sound like much, but the comic timing at that point in the game was hysterical. Sheperd replies with "I thought so". As far as ME2 goes thats right up there ME's "if by secure you mean shoot every monster i see, sure" and "should i requisition a cow to walk in front of me"

There is some real emotional attachment for me (i mean Roger Sheperd) with Jack, as Im sure for every one here. As I'm sure for all the other etc, LI's. Granted I played several plays and tested the waters with others, and will again. But Roger did go back and play ME again with No LI. I just would rather not have any issues for my main run. Know what I mean? Anyway...

thats all I'm thinking about, because the absence of any LI should be rough for anyone, I would assume. With that plausibility, I cant wait. This positivity comes from me posting here the past 24 hours.

lol no way, those are easily my favorite lines from ME1. Along with "Here's a tip: TWO eyes, human, FOUR eyes, batarian!"

As for Jack on Korlus, I also had Kasumi with me so she stole all of Jack's lines like she steals everyone elses <_< Wish there was an easy way to tell which squaddie has precedence over another in those situations.

I also agree about the attachment to the LI's and that at the very least they should return. But

Casey did say "Zaeed is in, plus Thane, Mordin and the rest, all knocking about somewhere in the galaxy, doing something
appropriate for their character" so my gut tells me they aren't permanent.

And every Shepard I make only has one LI throughout the series, partly for the same reason you mentioned, I don't want anyone having issues with Shepard or each other. We have a galaxy to save, I can't have Jack pulling Ashley's head off cuz she called her a freak right before we attempt to save Earth.

I was contemplating what Jack will look like for our final outing after what Casey said about her pony tail redesign, and then it hit me:

It was so simple! Same voice actor! Same sort of character arc (albeit less dramatic for Jack)! Same body type! I loved her then, and, if KoTOR 3 ever does come to pass, I'll love her again!

I give you, what I believe to be an accurate description for Jack!
