Unsurprising, that's the renegade path to get Jack's loyalty back if you sided with Miranda. You tell her "When you agreed to work for me, you agreed to be part of a Cerberus mission". I expected foul words and I was rewarded.



You really just have to hear it for yourself, though. It's glorious. Of course reload the save then side with Jack she's remarkably in-character for that scene, regardless of your choice, Precious...eh not so much. It's why I side with Jack instead of ending the dispute right there.

Oh but you can save right before you go into the elevator ending Miranda's mission. It's excruciating, yes, but the extra info about the character (good or bad) makes up for it.  I'm also curious what she says if you're in a love triangle with Miranda, but uhh...achieving that has proven difficult.

Regardless, after 6 playthroughs I'm still discovering new things, like this paragon tummy-tickle interrupt.

I think I'll try my hand at something off-topic:

I posted this in another thread and got some positive feedback. Tell me what you think:

Udina is all-powerful and reminds me of Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars.......you don't want to mess with him.......this is how I picture a confrontation between Shepard (with Garrus and Thane) and Udina:

UDINA: Commander Shepard, I take the reapers have been defeated? I must say, you're here sooner than expected.

SHEPARD: In the name of the Galactic Senate of the Republic (draws gun), you're under arrest Chancellor!

UDINA: This is an Outrage! Are you threatening me, Commander Shepard?

SHEPARD: The Senate will decide your fate!

UDINA: (evil voice) I am the Senate!

SHEPARD: Not yet!

UDINA: (draws lightsaber) It's treason then.

(Fight scene: Udina screams and jumps across the room and quickly kills Garrus and Thane with quick thrusts of his lightsaber, then slaps the gun from Shepard's hand. Dramatic fight scene ensues, Shepard is forced to use his biotic powers against Udina's lightsaber. After approximately three minutes, Shepard has a defeated Udina pinned up against a large open window)

SHEPARD: You are under arrest, my Chancellor!

(Admiral Hackett walks in)

UDINA: Hackett! I told you it would come to this! I was right! The Spectres are taking over!

SHEPARD: The oppression of the Sith will never return! You have lost!

UDINA: NO, NO, NO! YOU WILL DIE! (uses biotic power and shoots bolts of electricity from his hand at Shepard. Shepard struggles to withstand with his own biotics)

UDINA: HE'S THE TRAITOR!

SHEPARD: HE IS THE TRAITOR! AAAARRRGGHH!

UDINA: (at Hackett) I HAVE THE POWER TO SAVE THE ONE YOU LOVE! YOU MUST CHOOSE!

SHEPARD: DON'T LISTEN TO HIM HACKETT!

UDINA: DON'T LET HIM KILL ME! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH! (Shepard begins to get the better of Udina) I CAN'T HOLD IT ANY LONGER! I.....I.....I.....I.....I CAN'T........WEAK........I'M TOO WEAK.......HACKETT! (Udina finally relinquishes his biotic and collapses) HELP ME! I.....I......can't hold on any longer!

SHEPARD: I'M GOING TO END THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL!

HACKETT: You can't! He must stand trial!

SHEPARD: HE HAS CONTROL OF THE SENATE AND THE COURTS! HE'S TOO DANGEROUS TO BE LEFT ALIVE!

UDINA: This is an outrage......I'm too weak......don't kill me.....please!

HACKETT: It's not the Alliance way! He must live!

SHEPARD: (Picks up gun from the floor and aims at Udina)

UDINA: This is an outrage! Please! Don't!

HACKETT: I NEED HIM!

(Shepard loads gun)

UDINA: Please don't!

(Shepard prepares to shoot)

HACKETT: NO!!!!! (Draws lightsaber and chops off Shepard's gun arm)

SHEPARD: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HACKETT!!!!!!!! WHY?

UDINA: (Attacks with his biotic lightning again) POWER!

SHEPARD: (Starts burning alive) WHY?

UDINA: UNLIMITED POWER!

(A dead Shepard flies out of the open window from the force of Udina's biotic power)

HACKETT: (Horrified) WHAT HAVE I DONE? (Collapses to his knees)

UDINA: You are fulfilling your destiny, Admiral Hackett........

^^lol the thought of Udina with biotics is rather troubling. I chose him as councilor 50% of the time, so I hope he's not Palpatine-like evil.

Well if the info is good enough, then you don't have to. Hearing Jack say "go fvck yourself" is almost as exhilirating as hearing her say "that kinda gets me off"

Slurm, I enjoyed that. But could I request an alternate ending were Jack comes in and blows Udina and Hackett away, and tops it of with a witty comment to Shepard.

Actually, I don't think this is possible because no matter how you try to time it at some point you have commit too one of them which alienates the other. Maybe you have more experience with this via Tali/Jack, I did have a playthrough where I had forgot that I had been chatting Jack up, and then started romancing Tali but it was assumed that I dumped Jack.

Hmm, if you chatted Jack up first, then if you go with Tali you just walk down and break it off. Maybe one of the ways to end the relationship is saying you're into this person, but I'm not sure. My plan is to chat Miranda up, then talk to Jack who probably says "you make other stops" and you can ask "Is this about Miranda?". She might say "I don't care who you sleep with, I just don't want to be a part of it" or something like that regardless of who the 3rd person is, but naturally I'm hoping it's different if it's the cheerleader.

I don't think I ever had the game assume I dumped someone, I've had both parties initiate the "heard you like so-and-so" dialogue.

I may have completed the Tali romance I don't remember, but what I do remember was after talking to Tali I ran down to talk to Jack and it went straight to the "get the **** out of here" line.

I just get stonewalled by Miranda with the "why don't you go talk too Jack" line, but maybe I've been to far along with Jack at that point.

If Jack is a squadmate, I really hope she has a unique version of this attack.   I can see her running up, almost like a Vanguard's charge and just tearing through enemies.    That'd be sweet for a bonus power.    I always thought her Warp Ammo was cool, but I think she could have a better bonus power.

And I finally got around to reading the PC Gamer article, I know its old news and we've heard of most of it, but there is nothing like having it in your hands to read for yourself.

And it sounds like there will not be a Lazarus project style plot device in ME3, thank god.

Really? This is before or after she tells you about Murtock? I think I just exhausted Jack's dialogue, told her "we'll keep it just business. No problem". I'll see if there's anything after that.

Well that's cuz Miranda isn't loyal to you. You gain back her loyalty, THEN she'll thank you for saving her sister, THEN you can romance her.

She made those 2 other guys fly, too. "Fly" is an understatement, look at how fast they rocket towards the ceiling. I can't stop watching
