Oh man, I none of my "spare him" Shepards even thought about that possibility! Well, looks like I'll have to change that when I do my EPIC CANON PLAYTHROUGH in late February 2012. From now on, Aresh dies. I don't trust him to move on if I leave him alive.
lol I feel like my canon will be determined around that time as well.
I don't trust Aresh, but I'm conflicted on the whole scenario.
If you say "Leave him alone" then skip the interrupt;
--------
Killing him won't help you or my mission. Stand down!
It will help me.I gave you an order!
This is my call, don't tell me how to deal with my past! *shoots Aresh*Nobody tells me what to do, Shepard.Damnit Jack, you will follow my orders from now on!
I will. But I had to do this, it was the only way.---------
I like it because it shows her independence while still conceding to your authority, and also that it made Shepard mad

the problem is there is another way, and she's blocking them out at that point. Regardless, it seemed like closure, but the dialogue afterwards was a bit harsh. "I want it gone. I want it all gone. It's only in my head and when I die, it dies". Sounded like it would follow her like Aresh. I'm not saying it'll be detrimental, but she gets more insight if you tell her the past doesn't need to control her, and she says "He was stuck in the past, reliving it every day. You showed how that could be me. I'm not getting stuck like that".
Either way, she has a hard time moving on from it, and still kinda wants to kill every person she sees. She knows it'll still be in her head but it's how she deals with it that makes the difference. It'd be great if you could go paragon and then kill Aresh out of pity, but if wishes were horses...
And the Intimidate option is just peer pressure. I don't like it.
(And Goat_Shepard, I love your avatar so hard!)
Stan Woo referred to me Goat_soldier so I ran with it
