Not sure what you'd call them.

Also, I saw your pic of Jack with pjonytail, and it looks badass!

Thanks, man!

I just had the strangest dream...It went a little something like this.

-----
WARNING: INCOMING ONE SHOT. WARNING: INCOMING ONE SHOT
-----

6:00 P.M., Standard Earth Time

----

The mild breeze of an unspecified world blew gently on the base of Shepard's skin. He stood haunched over a holographic mapping of the battlefield ahead of him, planning his next move. With him had been Ashley Williams, who sat behind him at the far wall, rifle in hand. Her grip was loose, and she refrained from acting on it, eyes unwavering at the scathed, mud-ridden floors. Dark strands of hair fell loose in front of her as the building shook, and she wished at the back of her mind that she made the effort to tie it back; it was becoming too much of an liability.

Garrus Vakarian entered the large, doorless corridors soon after Shepard finalized the plan in his head, and with him were two turian soldiers, who carried a third, batarian civilian. They rushed ahead of him, and placed the batarian on an unoccupied bench to compensate for a lack of a gurney. Garrus's thick, armored hide pressed against the wall ahead of Shepard. He reached for his sniper rifle, holding it in place with one hand, and popped the overused heat sink with the other.

Shepard took two steps from the map, which signaled Ashley to rise from her seat. She brushed the strands of hair that blinded her behind, as she treaded to Shepard's side.

"So what's the plan?" She asked, with a jaded tone.

Shepard kept his eyes on the map, it's bright blue lines reflecting against Shepard's eyes. Before he could speak, however, a snarl erupted from the sunburned hallway. Shepard quickly retrieved his Mattock assault rifle, and aimed it towards the opening of their 'stronghold'. An unethusiastic Williams slowly retrieved her Avenger, and aimed it the same time Garrus did. Shepard signaled them both to follow him and cut through the hologram, which caused it to dissipate.

On the outside of the small room they took refuge in laid an futuristic graveyard, painted an orange-bronze by the sun's setting. The snarling ceased, and prompted Shepard to halt. The wind howled a sickening tune, as silence set upon fallen planet.

In the next instant, Shepard was floored by a husk who clung to the ceiling of the opening, waiting for a opportune moment to strike. It struck the chestplate of his armor wildly, intent on drawing blood, while Shepard's left hand gripped the neck of his attacker. His right arm curled into a hook, and his omni-tool assembled. With a small beep, a blade spun from the base of Shepard's hand and dug into the mechanical flesh of the husk, killing it upon impact. As it fell, hundreds more appeared, and charged his position. Shepard had only seconds to spare before being swarmed by the monsters. However, he was paid a few minutes more when both Ashley and Garrus tore through the horde's ranks with an exploding hail of gunfire.

Shepard stood his ground with the two of them, Mattock again retrieved. "Hold them off!" he shouted, and joined his friends in their assault.

It wasn't long before a faint noise that sounded like a guitar riff was heard in the distance. It increased in volume, with every second, and gave Shepard little to no time to comprehend it. When he looked ahead, Shepard had sighted down a sky car, flying dangerously close to the ground below it. As it's identity was hidden, Shepard quickly assumed that it was hostile. He reached for a grenade, magnetized onto his suit, and hurled it at the feet of the husks. As the car sped closer, Shepard waited, until the bottom of it hovered over the grenade. When it did, Shepard detonated it, causing a large explosion that nearly consumed himself and his squadmates.

"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Shepard's eyes grew wide as the skycar escaped the explosion, itself exploding with vocals and music. Shepard rolled out of the way -- as did Ashley and Garrus -- as the sky car descended, and struck the metal floor. It slid against it, scraping against itself, until it slammed into the wall that covered Shepard temporary base of operations. The song never failed.

It's doors opened, and heavy, metallic boots stepped from it. The armor been originally blue in color, but was now washed into a bland, tattered grey shell. The casings led all the way up to the driver's knees, and was succeeded by a black jumpsuit, which fully clothed the figure's body, save for the upper torso, which revealed a fan shirt of a long lost music band.

The driver looked bigger behind the wheel.

"So..." The driver called, revealing a voice that Shepard knew all too well. "It's gonna be like that."

The driver wasted no time in closing the distance between Shepard. He was shoved against the nearest wall, and before he could respond, the driver's lips met his.

"Be glad I'm feeling generous, right now." The driver said, after breaking the kiss. Shepard, who up until this point had been serious as ever, chuckled lightly.

"Welcome back to the team, Jack."

Yeah, these sort of things happen frequently when I sleep. The trick is remembering most of it.

Also, please note that the Killswitch Engage playing in the background is non-negotiable. It stays in there, costs be damned!

Ok, so in all honesty (and I don't know why I didn't realize this before), I'm actually glad Jack's biker outfit came with those bad@ss shades (even though I completely agree with wanting the outfit without the glasses, and I wish that was an option). It's just nice to be able to mix things up once in a while. Jack looks so intriguing in that screenie^ with those glasses. It makes her seem mysterious instead of leaving me goggling over her indescribably gorgeous eyes. And the fact that it hides some of her beauty with a barrier seems to fit her "fvck off" personality well. So while I want the glasses modded off, I also want them. Okay, sorry for the shallow talk. Just saying it wasn't a completely tasteless decision for Bioware to cover 'dem eyes' (only a little tasteless).

I would have preferred the glasses to be a bit transparent so they didn't look so much like a simple, "pasted on" polygon with a mirrored skin and would blend in more with the overall look.

That would have been nice too. And it would have made a great compromise.

@Slotts: I thought about 'GI Jane!' At the end of the day though, the sadistic "training" in 'Nikita' seemed more in line with what went on at Teltin to me.

@Sundown: Ash fans call themselves "Ashaholics." Also, epic one-shot is epic!!

...I feel a little stupid now; I'm in a group called Ashaholics Anonymous on DeviantArt, and I still had to ask that question. Heh.

Thanks, by the way.

Oh yeah, I think I can resolve that conflict that's going on in Son Of Mindoir, now. You should see...maybe two or three chapters wrapping it up (The conflict, not the story) before Friday.

 How about GI Jane?

After a simulated interogation scene in which Demi Moore's character gets her face messed up(for lack of a better term). I remember thinking that her face still looked beautiful and I've always felt that Jack could naturally pull off having facial scars as well. But hopefully we don't have to find out. :?

Yes, I think so too. (that pic doesn't do Demi Moore's shaved head justice though)
And I fvcking love that movie.

Well I definitely think SEAL and SERE training isn't sadistic enough to compare to Teltin. But I think Jack would play the role well. Now I'm gonna have to watch "Nikita" (did you mean the movie or the new show?... I assume you meant the movie).

I love Jack the way she is, she's badass and awesome plus she's really beautiful!
I was just curious about what she'd look like with hair so I messed around in Photoshop a bit.
These are the colors that suited her the most.

I approve... only because it isn't possible to make Jack ugly with her beautiful face. As far as the colors go, I like the red on her best.

@punchbag: THE MOVIE!!! THE MOVIE!!! NOT THE TV SHOW!! (Although I'm thinking of the new tv show, not the classic one. The classic one is all right, but the movie is epic. The scene where Nikita asks to see/call her mother while she's in the white room just seems to hit all of Jack's emotional vulnerability in the perfect way).

@AprilStardust: The red is nice, it has a "Run Lola Run" look to it that I like, but for some reason, my favorite is the blue. Got no explanation for it. Nice work on all of the pics, in any case. Clearly you've got some photoshop skills. You should totally use them to make more Jack pics.

I know this isn't relative to the Jack thread, but do you guys think I should do a FemShep fanfic. I've been trying to get some opinions on DeviantArt, but I've yet to hear from there.

Actually, scratch that. I gotta stop overworking myself. I'm gonna go ahead and let that idea be just that; an idea.

I also want to say that, sadly, the Son Of Mindoir fanfic is coming to an end, as is any other fanfic, Bioware related or otherwise. Those two chapters I was talking about are now basically two things; taking what I have together for the story right now, and just let things go. I guess that's supposed to be the big finish. The epilogue comes after.

I'd love to tell you guys that I'd do another fanfic, or a Son Of Mindoir sequel, but that's not a luxury I'm going to be able to have, with the path I'm taking. You guys see that AthenVerse Literature link below my posts? It's where the Sundown Native name came from. Basically, it's my story; the story I want to see succeed. I know it can get somewhere if I work real hard on it, but I can't do that while writing a fanfic at the same time. Trust me, it's harder than it sounds.

Because I don't want to let you guys down -- the ones following the story, anyway -- I'm gonna do the best I can to make sure that those last two chapters of the screwed up relationship between Shepard and Jack don't fall flat. I'm also going to extend the deadline of finishing those two chapters indefinitely -- I've got a friend coming over to discuss his role in my story tomorrow, so that'll probably take up most of my day.

Again, sorry to those who were following. I had a lot more ideas for this fanfic, but with the declining number of feedback, and the urgency of getting the Athena novel finished...It'd make sense for me to focus on what's important, rather than what's fun.

Sundown out.

I thought her love quest was much more emotional. When it came down to it I had to chose between Tali and Jack. At first I chose Tali because she had always been there for me, but I quickly reloaded the previous save and romanced Jack because I felt like I crushed an already weakened soul...I needed to change it.

I'm still following your story, though I haven't finished reading all of it so far. But I will make no demands for what you write. Just do what you can while keeping your priorities straight (hmmm... I said I would make no demands, but that sounds like a demand still... self-contradicting punchbag is self-contradicting).

I feel the same, but I still can't decide what my canon is. Like you said, Tali was always there, and you're the only one for her, but then with Jack it's the same situation except without the experiences from ME1. So my helper complex is divided and the only gaurantee is that I'll feel bad for whoever I don't end up with.

@Sundown

I love Colonist, so once I finish up Jake's story I'll take a look and lend you some feedback, useful or not.

I think my canon is switching to Earthborn Sole Survivor, tho, because of the Reaper's attacking Earth and Cerberus attacking Shepard.

While I don't like Jack's attire (clothes really, the shaved head and tattoos are no issue), I like the character herself, specially the voice acting. I think I will end up doing a file romancing her. I read you need a paragon path to do so. Is that true? I thought she would love a Renegade Shepard.

@T3hAnubis

If you take the renegade option to sleep with Jack when she first offers, you'll lose the option to romance her. After the encounter she refuses to speak to you. so if you want to romance her you have to turn her down, and tell her you want to get to know her better. enjoy ;p!
