Did anyone else notice that Shepard has a copy of Jack's omega tattoo on his back in the Citade DLC trailer?

Thanks for that. I've always been one to mock people with nerd tatoos, but I could see myself getting that done on my chest or back.

I hope that tattoo is optional, and I don't have to be a jerk about not getting one.

I don't mind the tattoo as such, Shepard just has a frickin UGLY back!

I'm really hoping that's leading up to either an emotional scene between the two or after a scene. It reminds me of their paragon romance scene in ME2.

Must resist spoilers. I'll have to wait until next weekend after midterms.

Glad to see you back, it's what I personally wanted, I don't know about everyone else - but it has that emotional side that I missed (hopefully that isn't a spoiler) - haha.

This reflects, of course, only my own opinion.

I don't regret the fifteen bucks, not really.  There's some funny stuff in Citadel - if you're fifteen.  Didn't expect a run-on comedy DLC.  The yuks never stopped.  Not in combat, not in the relationship stuff.  Hahaha.  On and on.

My sides ache.  No, really.

As to Jack...

We got moments.  That was it.

Very brief and completely predictable, obvious moments.

Was not a fan of this dollop of Bioware-to-fan STFU.  Not remotely impressed.

I had hoped to be proven wrong in how they were to treat her this last time.  I was not.

Personally I found the Jack bits insulting and juvenile.  I'm not some hormonally-driven teen'****** that's never had a relationship with something not my hand.  I actually brainlessly allowed my muted enthusiasm to bubble up and broke my rule and expected something better.

Shoulda known better.  I actually gave Bioware the benefit of doubt.

That was not the woman in ME2 my Shepard saw more in - she was crass and obvious and exhibited - pardon the pun - near-zero character growth.  If it was there, I didn't see it.  I willing to accept that maybe it was me.  Maybe I'm wrong.  Maybe endless getting-laid-related banter from her and five seconds of "serious" is the right combination.

That is how Jack would react, right?

I should not have spent every two minute (if we were lucky) encounter with her going, "Really?  That's it.  This is what we get."  Couldn't help it though.  Again, maybe I stupidly expected more, somehow.

Bioware couldn't have told Jackolytes to "fvck off" any more succiently than if they just had Jack flip Shepard off and yell that at him every time he got within a metre of her.  No appreciable difference.

It's likely just me. My bad.  I made a mistake and hoped, in the face of all the GFY's that preceeded it.

I'm glad SP ME is now officially dead.  Means they can't make it any worse than they already have.  I had hoped to stick around, get some replay value, enjoy the nuances.  Can't do that when neither exist.

It's a telling statement when the fan fiction about her (not a slam to the fanfic writers by any means) is better than the canon stuff, when it's more mature and in character, not just for Jack but the rest as well.

If I ever play this series again (it's gonna take awhile), my Shepard will stop at ME2 with a Jack that had potential, not what she was shat into in ME3.

Mine what you can from it, folks.  I'm sure if you squint hard enough you can get ...something.

Nah, that's not much of a spoiler. I'm glad it has that element since that part of her had so much proper build up in ME2 but was erased in ME3. Bringing back crucial elements to a character is always welomed.

Seen the Jack stuff just now.

The arena scene was terrible, but the tat scene was nice, very true to the character. It had an emotional side to it instead of the physicality we see in the rest of her content.

Still don't think the character was done justice, but this is... better.

P.S. The whole scene with eezo and the Miri convo were a bit insulting, tbh. Really a disservice to the character. I don't like hearing her arc summed up as 'show her some love and now she's a big old softy', and the Miri part felt like a defence of the changes in Jack's character that were criticised.

I disagree that the DLC is all that great, as for me its a 7-7.5 out of 10, but I will agree that this should have been a what we got from the start. The level of quality we see in the way of boss battles and squad involvement/ interactions is what should have been in the core game as a bare minimum. Bare. Minimum. Granted, the plot was lame and overused, and that damn 2-option dialogue wheel is about as good as it gets when we aren't enduring the autodialogue, but the rest of it was very carefully thought out.

I'm not sure if Bioware really realise how important their characters are to the overall experience of these games. These characters are the way to show us our impact on the setting. In a choice game, we must see how we influence the setting, so removing these characters or treating them as an afterthought is a laughable mistake.

TL:DR, this should have been there from the start. Maybe then the ending wouldn't have caused such a stink. Probably not, seeing as it still makes everything a waste of time, and not in the good way. Wasting time can be relaxing, but this just ends up feeling frustrating.

The eezo thing? Look here. Should be safe for you to watch it without spoilers. Jackmancers don't get that scene. I think its terrible.

As for Miri/Jack, you can find that here. Not terrible, but certainly not great.

TBH, I think the problem I have with both scenes is the prevailing message of 'She's so much better now that she's no longer the woman she was in ME2. We fixed her!'

Once again, I think her arc wasn't about 'fixing' her. It was about acceptance. Like she says after the LM, 'fvcked up or not, the rest of the Galaxy's just gotta deal'.

Oh you didn't like the "badass" biotic thing, I lol'ed so hard, loved it.

Though, I understand what you're saying, but I personally don't view it that way, even if Bioware is trying to make it that cliche, my Shepard wasn't trying to "fix" her and she isn't "fixed".

"Knock that **** off. You're gonna blow the Reapers to hell. And then you're coming back and taking me out dancing"

^:)

Also, that little hesitation when Jack gets hugged by Shepard, ah. Why couldn't this be in the game before hand.... still - I'm glad it's there.
