You read all the one from page 1? Damn, haha. Well, we're not active anymore, like the early days - when ME2 was released and such, but always great to see her fanbase still kickin' - to an extent.
I'm here, but relatively new. Been a fan since the moment I let Jack out of cryo on release day.
Just ran across this thread on Google because I found some comments on Weekes saying he hated Jack. I thought he wrote her lol. Who the hell wrote her if he doesn't like her? /confused

Pretty much. I'm just glad he at least got the humour right with the character. That's probably why they picked him.

I think I am newer than you... hahaha... I think I joined this forum just a month ago (I think)...
Don't understand why there are so many people who hate Jack... What did he wrote about her anyway?

For me, I like Jack after the first conversation, not after playing ME3. But ME3 was a disappointment even with all the DLC. I thought Jack will be playable during Citadel DLC, but she wasn't. Even the original and extended cut ending was poorly done for someone who romance Jack. This is my opinion.
I kinda of agree that after playing ME3 once, I felt that I don't want to play it again. Different with ME2, which i've been playing so many times. And currently playing it again right now. Hahaha...

In the end, I'd say you're missing nothing but a few good cutscenes and dialogue.

It's not like the ending of the grissom academy mission, where if you interrupt, Shepard will kiss Jack, if not Shepard will just have a smirk on his face.

Yeah, pretty much the same with or without it. But I kind of confused in the tattoo scene with Jack. It seems to me that it does not differ that much between the paragon interruption and the normal one. Just if did not click the interruption, you will get to hear that Jack pour her feelings. I do like the scene, just that I do not see a big difference between interruption and not.

It's reminds me of when he stops her from finishing in the cabin scene from ME2, where as this one - you can either let her finish her sentence (which is pretty sad) or just bring her close to you.

Yeah, I agree with you. Letting her finish her sentence is really sad. With incredible voice acting of courtenay taylor, where her voice seems like cracking up. It is almost like the cabin scene, where both scene brings down her wall and finally shows how she really feels about shepard.
These scenes are well written compare to saying goodbye scene through the video call in ME3. Which in my opinion, I don't like it. Although I do like her last line "Don't get killed, dumb***, when this is over, I'm getting laid". In my opinion, I want Jack to say something after Shepard says he loves her, but I don't know what.
I don't know how other LI say goodbye though, I have'nt watch any of it, so I can't compare Jack goodbye scene with the other LI. How does other LI say goodbye though? Was it well written?

The Jack content is good in Citadel, but I think the main quest is goofy. And the quest emphasizes all the same ME3 characters. For me, it's a chore. Not fun. I think fans of Jack and the other squadmates who got screwed over should have been treated better in the main game, but Citadel side content makes up for it somewhat. Not sure it's worth the price though. Who knows, it may drop in price soon.
For me, it is still a disappointment if Jack is not in the squad. It is not ME if there is no Jack yelling "I will destroy you" or "I will kill you", or my favourite "hello dead people"... You only got to play with Jack during the combat simulator, which I nearly missed the oppurtunity to do it because you have to play the simulator first...

I've not been around these boards for quite a while, so I don't know if it has been posted before (and with a 800+ pages thread I have no hope of finding it out on my own, I'm afraid) but I just wanted to point out a very nice fun fact: how incredibly similar to a ME2 Jack actress Karen Gillan looks now that she had to go bald for her role as Nebula in the upcoming Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

The similarities are stunning, from the general shape of her face down to her eyes and eyebrows. I believe she looks like her even more than Natalie Portman, until now always mentioned as the go-to actress for Jack because of her part as a bald Evey Hammond in V for Vendetta... and that's not even considering the fact that Nebula is a badass space pirate. Basically, it's like Gillan is already playing a blue Jack in the Guardians Movie!
(Nebula pic for reference:)

We don't know if or when Mass Effect will become a movie franchise, but if there will be one, and Jack will end up being a part of it, I really hope the guys down at Warner Bros. are keeping an eye on Guardians of the Galaxy.

Does anyone remember the name or have a link to SuZe's actual model? I remember it floated around here a while ago.

Holy hell... that's quite the likeness. Lips aren't there all the way, but otherwise she could totally pull it off.

Her face is actually based off American model Candice Neil.

...and yes, Karen's lips aren't quite as full as Jack/Candice's, but make up artists can do wonders after all. Also, if they'll ever make a movie, they're obviously going to look for an actress to play Jack, just like they can't go with Vanderloo for Shepard, so I'd say that Karen Gillan is as closer as it can get.
