Haha ya you'd think it would be the other way around. The Tali and Miranda fans are far more.... eccentric.

Indeed. Over 2,000 posts now, and not a single paper mache doll to be seen. I'd say that alone puts us well in the lead on this count.

If you say things like that, they'll come, and they mostly come at night...mostly.

I've always believed that mental instability is in direct proportion to how much like a social lemming you are.  The less lemminglike the more stable....Jack is not built for lemmings.

Then again, I was also unofficialy voted the 2nd most likely to become the crazy cat lady down the block......

current number of felines in the house....3.

Ok, I'll cross-post this, because Jack's Cutscene Power To The Max is just so rockin'... it makes you wonder, if she can pull a space station to bits with her hands, she really should be the game's hero, shouldn't she ;)

In the Collector Base...

Shepard and Miranda are pinned down behind cover, while the Proto-Reaper bellows and rages.

Shep: Ohmigodohmigodohmigod... how the **** am I going to get out of this?

Miranda: Shepard, calm down.

With a screech of protesting metal, a hexagonal platform is thrown over our heroes by the massive construct.

Shep: Calm down?!? ****ing Mecha-Godzilla is out there! We're so boned it's not funny!

Miranda: (holding out glass) Mai tai?

Shep: Wha -

Miranda: Relax. Have a drink.

Shep: We're getting attacked by a giant robot skeleton with a ****ing deathray in its mouth, all I have is this ****ty assault rifle and this nuke gun that I get to fire once a frigging century, and you're making cocktails?!?

Miranda: That problem should solve itself in about four seconds... (sips mai tai)

Jack:
(from somewhere outside cover) Oh, you want some of this? Come get it, ****face! RAAAAAAAAHHH!

A catastrophic explosion tears though the area. Shepard loses bladder control, Miranda spills a little of her mai tai. Jack hops into cover, clothing smouldering, one of the Proto-Reaper's eyes tucked under her arm like a huge beachball.

Jack: Well that solves that - hey! Mai tais!

Miranda: Remind me why we spent so much on you, Shepard...

Since my PC-illiteracy (this inability to make clickable picture links) is being exposed here, can someone enlighten me as to how it's done?

There's a icon on the toolbar when you go to "post reply" that looks like a planet with a infinity sign on the bottom of it. Click that and just paste the link in the section labeled 'URL' and click 'ok'.

People seem to think of Jack as 'screwed up psycho' but for me she seems more human then anyone else. She's upfront and in your face. She is honest with herself, how she feels and how she feels about others. Not many men like these kind of women. However, I married one lol.

Me neither. Of course, the devs did say that there were gonna be ramifications for cheating on your ME1 LI. It's hard to see how those ramifications can be brought about with no ME2 LI. I'm just pessimistic by nature. I set my hopes low.  Sorry if I bummed anyone out or wasted anyone's time.

There is that word again "Cheating".  I'm very confused by Bioware's attitude about this.  They intentionally had the ME1 LI's move on with their lives.  Shepard was told off at Horizon or blown off at Ilium but he's going to be penalized for doing the same?  I liked both Ash and Liara but neither of their stories held a candle to the wind next to Jack's. Too strange for me to wrap what's left of my brain around.  "shrug"

Well, the ME1 LIs do deserve at least a little sympathy, as the VirSur sees that you are now working for Satan and Liara turned herself into a monster to help bring you back from the dead.  You save the galaxy YET AGAIN, and they see you had a head on your shoulders and want to resume what once was, only to find some bald chick with tattoos following you wherever you go (at least that's my assumption).

I don't know why Jack is called a psycho. On the freaking official ME2 website she is labeled the "psychopath". Hannibal Lecter is a psychopath, not Jack. Jack is just very violent and veangeful. If she was psychotic she would try and kill everyone on the Normandy in their sleep, wear their skin as a dress, and crash the ship into Cerberus HQ. I don't even remotely see her as psychotic.

One of the hallmarks of psychopathy (thanks to the episode of House I saw a few weeks ago) is a lack of empathy.  They may understand emotions, but they don't have any themselves.  No anger, no hate and no resentment.

Yeah... I don't think that's Jack's problem.

Yeah, it irritates me when people casually misuse terminology like "psychopath". Realistically, Jack is the opposite of a psychopath - the latter lack normal human emotions and empathy but can nonetheless still "fake it", whereas Jack clearly does feel all those things, while lacking will and/or the capacity to convince other people that she's like them.

Edit: And I just looked up Jack's official page to see whether it actually says that... and it does. BioWare, I am disappoint.

Yeah, had tried that for a previous picture's link (to have it show up in the thread as a clickable image, leading to a larger version, etc), but it turned out just as an address.

Oh that. You need imagine tags on the sides of the link. Just type [IMG.]Link[/IMG.] without the '.''s.

Hrm, had tried that as well, and it came out mangled, lol.

Fortunately, I've been playing around with FRAPS today, so I have a ton of "on topic" pictures to experiment with in this thread!

To go with the whole "psychotic" bit, they also gave the impression that Jack is an unpredictable force of chaos.

However, I find Jack has a fairly structured way of thinking, to be honest. It may be simplistic, hasty, violent, and extremely cynical, but it does follow a regular pattern. I might disagree with conclusions she's reached, but I can see how she's reached them. She is also open to reason, more so than many other characters in the Mass Effect universe (I'm sure you all could think of a few examples....).

lmfao @ paper mache doll, i actually saw that and laughed my *** off

On another note,  Jack's intro scene is full blown beast mode.   By far the best one out of both ME1 and ME2 imo.
