Shepard and Jack are preparing to go undercover.
Jack: I look like a ****ing idiot...
Shep: No, that's a good look for you.
Jack: This prom-night bull**** ain't me.
Shep: You're telling me you never had to put on a disguise to pull something off?
Jack: You ever tried passing yourself off as a Turian? Takes more than heels and a low neckline.
Shep: Ok, you have a point.
Jack: Can't you wear this thing? You'll look better in it.
Shep: So you wear the tux and I wear the evening dress?
Jack: Yeah! It'll be 'fun'!
Shepard's expression says it all.
Jack: Hey, worth a try. Where the **** is a girl supposed to hide a shotgun in this ****?
Something tells me that Jack and 'subtle' go together like mustard and jello
Inside the party.
Shepard and Jack mingle amongst the guests. Shepard is coping better than Jack; her expression swinging between anxiety, boredom and anger. As Shepard makes smalltalk with another guest, a waiter with a tray of glasses approaches Jack.
Jack: (testily) What do you want?
Waiter: Champagne, madam?
Jack: (shrugs) Ok...
Jack takes the tray off the waiter and proceeds to drain each glass it turn. Once all the glasses are empty she belches and thrusts the tray back at the waiter.
Jack: Thanks. Now **** off.
Do I get bonus points for having done that in real life?

Yes
Now I'm really curious to see what Jack looks like in a dress. I can imagine her with a look on her face like, "Do I really have to ****ing wear this?"

I feel weird buying a poster of a video game character, but Jack is just the best. I'll have to go play tackle football with some friends this week to make up for the video game guilt I'm feeling right now

There's something "far-reaching" for ME coming in early 2011 according to EA press releases, with the smart money on it being the long-awaited PS3 port, but there's also a good shot at it being an Awkenings style expansion. Though if it's an expansion, there's a good shot at it narrowing down the possibilities to make ME3 easier to make. One of the things this might entail is saying goodbye to a few characters to make a more manageable squad come sequel time. So my questions are...
1. If you caught wind that Jack was being "put on a bus" in any way, shape or form, would you buy the expansion?
2. If you caught wind that they did it in a respectful manner, would you change your answer to question one?

It was at an utterly lousy wedding reception a friend had asked me to go to... it was unimpressively snobby, I knew practically no-one there, and I was already drunk and getting a little confrontational, so when this lackey came up with this tray and I saw five glasses of bubbly, I thought (as the lady herself would put it so well) "Hey, why the **** not?"

I'd buy it, but i wouldn't be happy about it.
Especially if characters I didn't like in ME2 got to go on to ME3.

2. Wouldn't make a difference to me.
After playing Awakening, I would be pretty dissapointed if it was handled the same. "Wynne, I killed you last time we met. I won't go find someone in the arse-end of Amaranthine for you this time." But, I don't have high hopes based on Bio's more recent handling of continuation - it just feels like choices are just some gimmick to be dismissed in the next game/expansion. Or, maybe I'm just being unusually cynical and moody today.

probably would have bought it, but it's like a "seven deadly sins" set
one of my favourite artists did - If I buy one, I'd need them all. And
since even if all the characters had one out, I don't have enough room
for that.

1) No, what they did with the LI in the first game was epic fail, what they are doing in awakenings is epic fail, if they curb Jack, or any of the ME2 LI it would be an epic fail.
2) See above.

Something like that, I could go for. I think they'll want to leave the LIs as they are for ME3, or the much-vaunted "repercussions" will count for sweet FA. I think because of that the LIs are fairly secure for now unless Bioware are kinda stupid and like throwing whole chunks of the ongoing plot out with the bathwater.
If Jack got benched, ignominiously KIA'd or given a sub-House brain-failure in a medical unit somewhere, I would be completely disappointed that Bioware could invest so much in an interesting character and just give them the finger because it panders to a section of the fanbase that are probably only marginally older than my kid but have less of a grasp of good writing let alone tying their shoelaces or it allows them to shoehorn a ME1 love interest back in. If it was handled well though, with maturity, honesty and pathos, I'll dry my eyes and go through it to know how it comes to an end. It all depends on the quality of the writing.
If it's done well, I'm in. If it's done on the cheap, sorry, I'm out. The writing in DA:O killed it for me, so no DLC for me on that franchise. If they do it to ME too... sorry Bioware, I thought you were smarter than that.

If I weren't lazy, I'd post a photomanip of a guy holding a banner with "If there is no Jack in ME3 we RIOT" :-P
BTW the fear of seeing our favourite characters being left out of ME3 reminds me of something... the fear of seeing my favourite characters being killed during the suicide mission in ME2 or during the battle with the Archdemon in DAO. I'm not saying that being forced to let either Kaidan or Ashley die on Virmire has traumatized me, but it clearly showed me that Bioware characters CAN and DO die.
Seeing ME1 characters doing cameos in ME2 showed me that Bioware characters CAN be left out (I'm not talking about Blizzard and necromancers, I'm not talking about Blizzard and necromancers...). To make it even worse, Bioware is one of those companies who actually LISTEN to fans: it's up to us to make our voices be heard, to support our favourites characters... with big powers come big responsibilities!

Jack's fans are slowly growing the longer the game is out, and the reasons for the increase are more than the fact that "she looks cool/hot". They have enough moderators for the spam to be seen for what it is. (I hope)
As for the DLC question. I agreed with Mondo, if it's about Shepard being seperated from his entire crew, I'll give it a try. If they are using it to just write out a couple of characters then I'll have issues and might not pick it up.
I also understand that DA:O and Mass Effect are two different creatures and doing exactly the same thing that they did in Dragon Age doesn't feel 'right'. I could see a mssive Expantion/DLC helping bridge ME2 and ME3, but I feel like it would be more branching the overall plot. Perhaps getting things situated with the Shadow Broker so Liara can become a squadmate again, or getting Shepard back into the good graces of the Council/Alliance now that your not 'with' Ceberus. That plot might help since the Illusive Man is a bit pissed at you if you got rid of the collector base.
Under the idea of droping Jack though...I'd say it's more likely for Mirada to get dropped or put in a background role if it wasn't for the fact that her voice Actress is a "star" and of course had the massive fanboys staring at her pixilated posterior. I've seen people talking about her officially quitting Ceberus but haven't seen that scene if it is there. (My avoidance of her romance path might be the reason for this...but I don' know) Then again, the largest chance of someone leaving is anyone you didn't have loyal who lived through the suicide mission.
Anyway i'll stop rambling now.

I don't actually think that Jack will be cut, as the thread grows and there are actual respected game journalists writing articles about her. But even optimism should have room for devil's advocacy.
But if they actually get any dumb ideas, well, we know they read these threads and it's nice to know that people will actually come out and say it. I'm just happy that they screwd up on DA so they'll get the right idea for ME, and not the other way around.
