I've seen people talking about her officially quitting Ceberus but haven't seen that scene if it is there.  (My avoidance of her romance path might be the reason for this...but I don' know)  Then again, the largest chance of someone leaving is anyone you didn't have loyal who lived through the suicide mission.

You have to take Miranda with you on the platforms for her to tell TIM that she quits.

I agree that either Shepard would have to be separated from his squad for the expansion (cut of from squad and then captured or something) or they would have to bring back all the VAs if Bioware wanted a generally positive reception.

I would be quite happy if they came out with a "conversation pack" which added ambient conversations among squadmates and more interactive conversations with them, even if it was only for the squadmates whose VAs they could get at the time.  Throw in a few new N7 missions to get players who don't care about dialogue to buy it and voila, a successful DLC.

Bought the Jack lithograph from the Bioware store, just put it in a frame and it actually looks quite awesome in my recently redone room.

I feel weird buying a poster of a video game character, but Jack is just the best. I'll have to go play tackle football with some friends this week to make up for the video game guilt I'm feeling right now :D

I didn't even know there was art in the store! That Jack litho is awesome! I wantttttt

and I'd also be pissed if Jack was cut. She's an awesome character and I love taking her everywhere with me~

I'm just a little disappointed, but not surprised, by the fact that the Jack lithographs are the only lithographs that have never sold out.   I have one of my own, framed, and on my wall.  It's a beautiful picture.

I guess it proves that people just didn't want to bother with finding out about Jack, as they discarded her as an immature character (oh, the irony!).

Cautious optimism here, although I would probably still be extremely disappointed if Jack wasn't a squadmate. The fact that they said there will be consequences if you cheated sorta gives me hope they won't ditch em...hopefully.

Ah that explains it.  I've taken tali and Jack both times after I kept having tali get killed at the end.  I'll have to try again with Miranda in the party.

Well it would be pretty lame if they create these characters that you get so attached to, especially someone like Jack with so much depth, and then take them away. I was bummed when I first ran into Ashley and discovered she isn't recruitable, but I wasn't pissed or anything. And there is some comfort in hoping that Ashley/Kaiden and Liara will come back to you in ME3. We don't have that comfort with Jack. ME3 is the end, so if she leaves you in ME3 then there is no coming back for ME4 because there will be no ME4 (as far as we know).

I liked all the squadmates from ME1 but you don't feel as connected to them as you do with Jack after going through her paragon romance. The connections I had with my squadmates from ME1 were at the point where I was bummed about losing them in ME2, but I wasn't upset. But I will be legitamently pissed if Jack is not with you in ME3.

Actually, even though I love the character, if I had a choice of one of them I'd choose that one last.  The artwork is beautiful but I just don't like how the picture is set up.  Garrus looks cool, the other two are items that anyone can get for a ME or a science fiction fan.  That concept art with her positioned like that is, while beautifuly done, just missing something.

I think a new Mass Effect game with Jack as the main character would be so awesome. A pre ME2 timeline...explore her story, play the mission where her love sacrificed himself for her, crash a space station into a moon, etc. She would start less tattooed and we could get new tats after each mission!

I fully support Jack, Miranda and Tali as romance/party member options in ME3. (well that and Desire Demon, I know...its sad :) )

The desire demon (the one in the mage's tower at the very least... the talking kitty just seemed regular-evil) seems to be a very minor flavour of evil; it struck me that at the end of the day, all it wanted to do was see what human relationships were like... ok, it went about it in a somewhat amoral way, but I imagine even if you wear that little and seem to enjoy badtouching yourself in public, walking up to someone and asking if they'd like to go for a drink sometime is way out of the realms of probability. Those horns must make getting through doors a bane too...

Truth be told, I felt a little sorry for that one... the guy it had charmed seemed happy enough in his fantasy of a family his stupid order wouldn't let him have, and so was the demon. But, I followed Karrasian logic that a demon always lies to a degree and chippetychop. I did feel a tad guilty though.

I think the fact that they haven't sold out has a lot more to do with how terrible that picture is. First of all it doesn't look like Jack at all. If they had one with the picture of Jack from the desktop wallpaper on the mass effect website, then that would be much better. I can see why a strange picture of concept art of some topless chick that has a weird face would not sell well. They should have chosen a much better picture of Jack.

I went to go stare closely at the picture.

I think it looks like Jack.   Her cranial structure just isn't as rounded as it is in-game.   Otherwise, it's kind of hard to misinterpret who it's supposed to be with all of the tattoos.

It's nice art, sure, and I wouldn't be adverse to hanging it on a wall, but I'm inclined to agree with Jackal here... there are much better images they could have used. Plus that Matrix-ish, swishing about blowing heads off without looking vibe is... not really Jack. Right-hooking people into walls is. Or chinning mechs. Less subtlety, more mood - and it better be a bad one ;)

Yeah, it's weird.  I enjoyed it enough when I played it the first few times, but the drop-off of my interest afterward has been astounding.  I bought Return to Ostagar but still haven't gotten around to playing it, and with that unfinished, I feel like it would be a waste to buy Awakening until I finish that up.  I may have lost interest in ME2 as well, but I'm just itching to get back in and play the DLC when it comes out.  Dragon Age, I just can't summon up the urge to play it again.

And the difference may have just been the characters.  They seemed interesting enough when I was playing the game, but now that I've gotten some distance from the game, I can barely even remember much about them.  The romance sidequests seemed a lot more deep and elaborate, but the characters themselves almost weren't worth the effort put into them.  Characters like Jack and Tali have become more memorable in the five or six conversations we get with them than the more numerous ones you get with the DA:O characters.

Dragon Age might be turning into another Jade Empire for me: interesting enough when I played it, but not something I'm dying to revisit.  The Mass Effect series, though, I feel like I could play ten or so more games in without ever getting bored.

It's been a while since I posted anything in this thread, but I've been lurking in the background trying to keep up with all the discussions. I have to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread and kept it the bastion of intelligence and civility that it is. Thank you everyone for enduring through trolls, haters, and the ever-present temptation to turn this discussion into something trite and less than fulfilling. Keep up the great talking, and hopefully we will see another 100 pages of Jackolyte awesomeness.

Ya it's obvious that it's Jack. But her face in that picture does not look at all like Jack in the game. It looks manly in that picture, but in the game Jack has a very feminine face.

I agree with you, that particular picture is really not the best one to choose from if you want to sell Jack Lithographs.

It actually looks quite nice in person. I wasn't sure how much I'd like it by the picture on the site, but I am very happy with how it actually looks framed.

Crowded around an Extranet terminal...

Jack, Miranda and Tali jostle for a good view.

Miranda: You're on my toe again.

Jack: Oh, sorry precious... (Jack brings her foot down hard)

Miranda: Ow! You miserable bit -

Tali: Wait... I think Jack's fanthread is about to go into triple figures...

Jack: You're kidding?

Miranda: And that is impressive how exactly? Mine has run into hundreds. Twice. Tali, yours grows by that much a day!

Tali: Sure, but Jack's only talks about babies on three pages and weddings on two. It never goes on about her butt, or having 'childbearing hips', or her breast size... though it does talk about that... thing you wear a lot.

Jack pulls the central strap out an inch or two before letting it slap back into her chest.

Jack: (grinning) Always keep 'em guessing...

Tali: And it seems to only have had a couple of trolls go into it... in fact, your fans seem almost... normal.

Miranda: Almost.

Jack: And they don't seem intent on drawing Shepard and me getting hitched. Thank ****....

Tali: Don't remind me... I'm only in my twenties and I feel like I should have grandchildren by now. Even if it was biologically possible. And if it's not that it's whether I'm purple or blue or whether I look like an "aelf" - whatever one of those is...

Jack: They're little furry things with big noses... eat cats...

Tali looks at Jack, blatantly confused.

Miranda: Face it, Tali, not even Wrex escaped the strange end of the fandom street. You need to see that picture of him and a female Shepard with babies.

Jack: Ok, that's ****ed up, but at least they're not making fan pics of me and the cheerleader here making out.

Tali: Well actually...

Tali taps the terminal screen a few times. Jack and Miranda's faces paint a picture.

Jack & Miranda: OH **** ME, NO!

Miranda: I think I'm going to be sick...

Jack: There ain't enough beer in the Citadel!

Tali: Oh, I don't know... I'd pay to download that...

In regard to the lithograph, I'm inclined to agree that it isn't a very appealing picture to begin with, hence poorer sales I suppose. Although, to be frank, I can't really imagine a room whose decor any of them might complement well. Unless you have a home office littered with G.I. Joe or Star Wars figurines...no offense to anyone who does, lol!
