I personally like Miranda way more. I just find her attitude and personality far more interesting. I hope Bioware gives her as big a role in ME3 as they did in ME2.
But I guess that's what's good about Bioware's games, choice. You get to choose whatever floats your boat. In my case, it's Miranda.

if you choose to destroy the collectors ship at the end as a good character you will find more about Miranda than just her looks. she is a very strong will woman and knows exactly what she wants.Lyrandori wrote...
Obviously Tali, it's not even comparable, Tali has a good character development, Miranda might be popular only due to her nice boobs and nice ass, other than that... not much to say about her, also I don't like her attitude overall.

Don't be so naive. That's pretty rude too, I know a TON of people that like her for who she is, not her "assets".

Well Tali's fans are certainly the most vocal. I don't know that she is more popular. I bet if the devs looked at the game data for the most common romances pusued in ME2, it wouldn't be Tali.
Your all reallllly underestimating tali's popularity outside the boards

I understand what you mean about Miranda, but Bioware has a habit of doing this. An awesome looking babe that starts off as a total b***h, then somehow turns decent in the end. For once I'd like them to make a woman like Kelly who is nice up front and stays that way until the end. The reason I decided to go for Tali was because I didn't want to deal with Miranda's baggage in order to get to the good stuff. At least with Tali she's nice from the beginning and doesn't get cold unless you do something bad to her (like tell the council about her father's experiments), or treat her like crap. At the end of the day, I liked Miranda, but I didn't think she was worth trying to romance.
Exactly what im trying to convey. People dont like putting up with her baggage, hence why she takes a lot of critical reviews. However, Tali's history with Shepheard makes her love you all the way through. Though i will point out that she may not necessarily. She starts off pretty cold when you meet her on the first colony.
In other words, Miranda is written as a real woman, with a real history--including a real sexual history with Jacob--while Tali is basically written as a teenage virgin.

Tali is a wonderful character, passionate about her believes, knows where her loyalties are - and she does have a great voice. However, she does not get along that well with a renegade Shepard.
But for my paragon Shepard she is a bit of a soulmate.
Miranda is complicated and troubled and that does make her believable and from my POV a great character. And she gets along well with both my renegade and paragon Shepards.
But if I had to choose only 1... Tali if I play paragon and Miranda if I play renegade. (you wont get a definite choice from me)

Um....how else are you going to gauge a character's popularity?
I don't know hundreds/thousands of people IRL who have played this game.
It's not like the most popular ME2 character is up there with Barack Obama and Healthcare Reform on Pollingreports.com or Gallup.com.

What sexual history with Jacob? The only content I can get out of either of them in like of MEG is Jacob just says "she requires a better man [or something like that] then I".

Everyone loves Tali because they can relate to her youth, insecurity, and inexperience. I like all the women equally, except Ashley. She's my number one girl.
Are you saying Tali fans are a bunch of lonely little kids?
If you are, I think lonely little kids would most likely flock to Miranda >_>

Damn, I forgot there were more pages- very, very late >_>

Aaaand you can keep telling yourself otherwise...but the fact is that we really don't know since the boards themselves aren't a representative sample of the game's average player.
I wouldn't be surprised if Miranda was the most frequently romanced.
