Did you find Captian JaneWay sexually attractive?

It always struck me as a woman cast in the role of the man. Kate Mulgrew is an attractive woman however in that rule any attractivebess melted away. Erin Gray AKA Wilma from Buckrogers from (who audicenced for Janeway) was sexually atrractive but much like Seven Of Nine she was designed for titillation. I don't think it has anything to do with needing sexed up or being empowered, many woman on Battlestar Galatican also have an empowered role like Caption Janeway yet Starbuck, Boomer and that really old President woman are still attractive without any skin tight uniforms.
Did anyone who watched Star Voyager think "oh, she's pretty hot"? Or just think of her as a man rather than a woman?

Janeway didn't need to be sexy. She brought her own brand of femininity to the captain's chair, and she did it well.

God, I remember those days in Chicago but hey at least when he ran for State Senate him winning by kicking everyone else off the ballot didn’t get much news since he was not as popular back then.
In Memory of Seven of Nine whose family dared to challenge he who is change!

Rather look at Picard, a Frenchman with English accent? That's a ridiculous idea to start with!

attractive, yes. hot, no. seven of nine was hot. janeway was good looking and tough. if you like that kind of personality it probably would make her more attractive. she was pleasant looking, though, just very tough and proper.Rubbish Hero wrote...

Attractive? Well, strictly speaking, she does (or seem) have a nice body, but heck, I am too young for her anyway. I find her OK as a captain as well, and don't see why female couldn't be in these ranks.

You DARE to compare the greatness that is Ser Patrick Stewart character (Picard) with...that....thing cakked Janeway?!?!?!?!?!

No. Why would I think of her gender being any different than female just because she's a captain?Rubbish Hero wrote...

She's attractive, but that's not the same thing as sexually attractive. My answer to the topic's question is 'no', since I'm not male.Rubbish Hero wrote...

That's just a bias. There isn't anything wrong with a female captain in a Star Trek series. It always struck me as a woman cast in the role of the man.

That's your opinion...just because you yourself didn't enjoy or even like the shows doesn't mean they were crap. Voyager was my favorite out of all the series but I didn't consider any of them bad. Just as my tastes went towards "Wings"(my all time favorite sitcom) over "Friends" doesn't mean that "Friends" was crap just means I didn't like it personally.

Yes, it is my opinion. This entire topic is about people giving there opinions as to why we do not find Janeway attractive (or vice a versa). There is no right or wrong answer. If you like Voyager, that's perfectly within your rights.

Actually, if you were to just carefuly watch each episode of all shows and make a note of all plot holes, inconcistencies and bad acting, DS9 and VOY come out with a way, WAAAY worse total.
Those things can be reasonably counted.
In this case, I consider my "oppinion" to be as objective as it can possibly be.

Season 1-3 of Deep Space 9 is basically a poor mans Enterprise, onward the writing and acting and scope of the show is far greater than any of the other shows. The introduction of the Dominion and the use of long standing story-arcs elevated it above the other shows.

Still, I don't think ST Voyager was badly acted, or what-else. In fact, I find it a pretty much enjoyable show.
