Speaking as an Infiltrator I had the most problems with anything that could just get on top off me without me noticing so I would have to go with either husks or varren.

Nah, all you have to do is unload with your SMG, start the reload anim, and then Charge to insta-reload, regen shields, and force him ba--
Unless you aren't a Heavy Charg-ing Champion Vanguard... nvm.
Even on Insanity, a fully-upgraded (equipment) Vanguard with Inferno Ammo and Champion can keep alternating between burning him to ash and charging him to keep shields up, Heavy Charge being the preference of course.
This assumes you have cleared the room (or your squad is/has) of other pest enemies.
Vanguards are pretty much an even fight for anything short of Scions in a one-on-one close-quarters fight.

Either you're looking for the word "Adept", or you fail to realize that VGs have Biotic Barriers and that Charge is a Biotic ability.

Harbingers (insanity), at least Scions don't insult you each time they gank you.
"This hurts you."
I always perceive that line as being a sort of insult, rather than him stating that he's bringing you physical pain. By having the time and patience to say something so innocuous, he's degrading you... or something, it's hard to explain.
But yeah, that Reaper pisses me off...

Husks are a joke, Singularity is their doom lol, keeps them at bay, or just shoot one at your own feet when surrounded.
Praetorians, well they are sub-bosses, so they do their job right I guess, but I would prefer them to just have more shields rather than this strange regen thing they do.

Scions.... gosh I hate them. They are part of the most difficult scene in the whole game-- the collector platforms during the ambush on their ship...two Scions+Harbinger+Minions. ARG!
Hard?
Adrenaline (Soldier) with Sniper you can one hit the minions, take the harbinger down to nearly 0 hp, and get one Scion to have health before the end of it.
This is on Insanity with the Widow fully upgraded though.
