Mine would have to be the ******* husks. I HATE those things. If I'm killing 5 in front of me, there's another 3 behind me whacking me. I swear I almost get pissed at my TV lol. I enjoy destroying those things.

with you one hundo!

except that while i enjoy killing them i get extremely upset that my squadmates apparently couldn't care less that those 3 are chewing on the back of my neck!

The Blood Pack Pyro at the end of the hallway hiding around the corner on the left in Garrus' recruitment mission. Yes, just him.

Ive died once to that guy on both my play thrus. The first time is understandable...you panic and try to run away only to TAKE COVER next to the wall isntead of jumping back over...second time i just forgot and once again took cover on the wall instead of jumping back over....

Stupid console gears of war control, cheap ass bioware and their crap controls.

Scions, hands down.

Can't stand fighting the things. The armor, I don't mind, but every time it lands and puts on a barrier...ugh. Not having Warp ammo makes them particularly tough.

thats a praetorian. they're annoying too but not as common

Doh, yeah of course, you are right

That's not the fault of the control scheme, that's your mastery of the control scheme at fault :P

Taking out grouped husks is easy if you have the wide-area version of shockwave.

well since scions have been mentioned so much, im gonna say flame thrower units. Granted you should never be close to one anways, but if you turn a corner into one unexpectedly youre toast. I hate that shep stumbles around out of range of cover when he gets flamed, only to get flamed and stumbled again. There is almost no escape from the flame thrower once youve been hit. It feels like a cheap death really...

Husks.
The game was fine until it turned into Left4Dead. If I wanted to play a game where I kill space mutant cyber zombies then I would have just waited for Valve to hit that (which in this rate won't be too long) but it's still unlikely since I despise everything Valve related. Last I checked I was playing Mass Effect 2. I think Bioware got their games confused.

Did a playthough as a vanguard, and the shockwave one shots husks, like i said before, scions are the hardest, especially on the dead reaper when you have little or no cover against the shockwave.

I'm still saying Thresher Maws from ME1 - that's how deep my hatred runs in my veins.

In ME2 though, I would have to agree with Scions. Damn, they are frustrating to take down when you're getting bumrushed by 20 husks.

haha i know, i hated those damned things on insanity for ME1. nothing but bullet sponges.

for mass effect 2, i hate engineers. that damned little combat drone zaps me out of cover and then they call in another one. unlike the collector guys, the stupid drone hones right in on you so you can't dodge it, and you can't risk trying to shoot it because then you get shot at

Husks! Especially on Insanity! Nothing worse than getting punched nonstop while hoping Zaeed's grenade has recharged so they all get burned and I can actually do something.

My vote for most annoying changes the more I play. I used to hate Praetorians until I learned how to deal with them effectively (Single shot from Cain). Husks were annoying until I figured out I could CC them with area incinerate and Zaeed's Area inferno grenade. Harbinger-controlled collectors were annoying until I got the M-98 Widow. Now I show him who's daddy - And if you kill off his buddies first he can't jump into another body (don't want to waste sniper ammo).

So I would have to say my most annoying right now are the Scions. There are the only non-boss enemy I don't know how to take down very quickly. Even with assasin cloak, armor piercing ammo (it only has an ammo health bar), the Widow, it still takes quite a few shots to kill it.

tell me about it... level 10 adept on insanity vs that thing... not cool, all i had was upgraded warp and warp ammo.
i did find something really cool though. if you move your way up the left side real slowly, once you get to the part where you turn right and are directly facing that bastard, he turns his attention on you and stops shooting those homing missile plasma things, right? well, i saw four geth troopers and a destroyer coming and said screw it so i ran all the way back to kal reeger. the colossus stopped shooting at me. it just stood there. and it wouldn't repair itself. so i just stayed back and kept using warp on it.
cheap, i know but it was pissing me off lol

Like everyone else, I'm going with Scions.

Husks are pretty easy. Quick bursts to reduce their armor then cryo blast. One of the few times cryo is useful but it is DAMN useful then.

I really don't like scions. Having to dodge an army of Husks and Abominations while they toss shockwave after shockwave at me is not cool.  Husks are easy on their own.  I send a shockwave through the pack and then mop then up from there.

Praetorians are pretty gay, but my hatred of scions knows no rival.

Pyros are easy to take down. Just pop a few rounds into the tanks on their back and it's game over. Ymir mechs suck until you get your biotics up to full strength.

Praetorians are pretty bad if you have to deal with husks as well, as you need to constantly be worrying about cover. I still think Scions are worse though, because you have to keep moving and cover doesn't do any good. They're both horrible.

Scions.... gosh I hate them. They are part of the most difficult scene in the whole game-- the collector platforms during the ambush on their ship...two Scions+Harbinger+Minions. ARG!

everyone kept saying how that part was so hard, but i really only needed to replay it about four times.  i was an adept on insanity. i picked up the assault rifle upgrade ability at the beginning of the mission and was using the geth rifle. worked out fine for me.
i had a harder time trying to take down the colossus on tali's recruitment.

I found it to be hell until I found the right strategy then I won on that attempt. Stopping is bad in that fight, got to keep moving.

i don't know why everyone is complaining about the scions and the praetorians. they're at least enjoyable to fight. i have those freakin engineers. they just hide behind cover and combat drone spam you out of cover so their squad can kill you..

... i guess i can't complain, i just hide behind cover and warp spam them back.... so i guess that breaks even
