Yes.
Probably killed me more times then Harbringer.

That part was easy, because i wasted my mini nuke on that platformThat One Display Name wrote...

Scions.... gosh I hate them. They are part of the most difficult scene in the whole game-- the collector platforms during the ambush on their ship...two Scions+Harbinger+Minions. ARG!
everyone kept saying how that part was so hard, but i really only needed to replay it about four times. i was an adept on insanity. i picked up the assault rifle upgrade ability at the beginning of the mission and was using the geth rifle. worked out fine for me.
i had a harder time trying to take down the colossus on tali's recruitment.
EDIT: Mini nukes solve all problems, even kills the reaper core when the barriars are in place

I have to agree on this one. I'm playing an infiltrator on insanity and this fight drove me nuts though it probably didn't help that I went into this fight with only 2 medgels.

For my infiltrator: Krogan. Even a stealth headshot with the Widow can't drop 'em in one shot.

Overload > Flamthrower Vorcha and Geth
Hooking warp from behind cover + AP ammo heavy pistol > Scions.
I have to vote for either harbinger of the Praetorians. Praetorians because, like YMIR mechs you have to be able to give ground to fight them only Praetorians are harder to wear down due to the regen barriers. Harbinger and his damn cover shifting shot can be annoying when you haven't cleared out nearby assasins and moving from cover can be instantly deadly, tech armour usually saves me though.

well since scions have been mentioned so much, im gonna say flame thrower units. Granted you should never be close to one anways, but if you turn a corner into one unexpectedly youre toast. I hate that shep stumbles around out of range of cover when he gets flamed, only to get flamed and stumbled again. There is almost no escape from the flame thrower once youve been hit. It feels like a cheap death really...
Bring up the hud, use team mates powers.
Concussive shot works nicely

Vorcha on Insanity are ****ing ridiculous. It's like playing Call of Duty 4 on Veteran.
I didn't have an issue with them as an Adept because they are vulnerable to Warp. I can see how they would be difficult for a lot of classes though (before you get Mordin and Samara).

Scions were a real pain, but if you Shockwave their Husk support and use the Collector weapon on them, they go down a treat. Praetorians are mainly a case of retreating with focused fire. Heavy Mechs don't like Overload with an SMG. Husks are just a matter of using Shockwave and melee (punch 'em, shoot 'em in da face). Harbinger takes time to download into his chosen pawn, so you can SMG him down to a weakling before he gets going.
As ever, all of these things are nasty until your hate for them forces you to work out a way to remove them quickly.

2 husks... 3 of them around me and they ****slap me to death even as infiltrator with shotgun ,
3 praetorians first time its a pain ... but with warp ammo special training and smg ... like the barrier was never there

Scions. They're basically the only ranged enemies you cannot use cover for, and as far as I can tell, they take at least three shots from the Widowmaker to kill (that's with headshots, heavy AP rounds, and assassination cloak bonus, with full rifle upgrades - including 50% more headshot damage - AND the +10% headshot helmet). They flat-out kill you and knock you out of cover so other enemies can kill you. The double Scion + husk wave where you first run into the Harbinger was probably my single most replayed encounter.
Husks were initially pretty scary, but you don't run into many of them with other ranged mobs (besides Scions...). They were pretty tough until I realized that Grunt can basically melee a group down in one of his charges. That, and being able to set up kill zones since I knew where they would spawn.
Praetorians were also pretty tough, but the only difficult instance is more due to its allies. This might be due to being an infiltrator, however, since you can generally escape when it starts getting too close. You can take advantage of its fixation with you to have your allies (ideally, Thane and Miranda) Warp the barrier off and get some good shots in. Being able to use cover really makes it more tedious than hard.
I found the Colossus to be pretty easy because I could stealth to the right hand side, then work my way down the catwalk while my allies covered my back. One point in hacking helped a lot too.
One of the more annoying enemies were the Geth Hunters, mostly because my allies often just ignored them while they're stealthed. Since they have shotguns, they really love to close with you, which is naturally quite bad.
Harbingers were tough until I figured out how to dodge its knockback move while in cover - double warp basically drops its barriers and then a headshot with the Widow would take one down. Seemed to have a lot less health relative to the other scary enemies in Insanity.

I have warp, and they still chewed me to pieces. You take out a few and then move to outflank the Krogan, and then you get ripped apart by the three Vorcha you forgot about before you could return to cover.stillnotking wrote...

Anything that rushes on Insanity.
Turning on the fans for Mordin's recruitment quest took me an hour and a half on my Adept. Miranda and Jacob get iced instantaneously and then I'm trying to kite 5 armored Vorcha and a Krogan up and down the steps while Heavies snipe me with rocket launchers from the balcony.
Cool story.
Thank you! So glad someone else had this problem. I was trying to do this with a Vangard, which in my mind would probably suck just as much as playing as an adept. I ended up beating it, then deleting the character because I was so furious with how long it took me. I'll play through as a soldier now.
So yea, rushing/rocket vorcha
