But on a serious note - as tossed around and possibly serious it might have been, the game would have probably gotten an AO rating for this alone (Harsh?  Yes....but I live in the U.S. where it's a fine line I feel about such things).  Should there be nudity in a game like this?  For me...I don't feel it's necessary.  Does that mean I'm ashamed of the naked body?  Of course not; I have no problem with it at all!  And if someone is greatly offended by the naked form, then there are two suggestions I may offer as a means of a solution - either deal with it like an adult (which I would assume you were, if you're playing this game) or simply not play.

yes i agree. you can slaughter all the living things you want, punch as many reporters in the face as you feel, execute people, but show a nipple? That's just disgusting!!! think of how much seeing a nipple could warp a child's mind! they would be scarred for life.
in all seriousness though i don't know why americans find nudity so offensive (i am american before you get mad). it's literally the most natural thing a human can be. why is it that a movie can have people decapitated and it's still pg 13 yet one half a second long shot of frontal nudity and it's R ? doesn't make any f****** sense.

Look, I don't disagree with you but a topless Jack narrows the roles in an "rpg" at first look to ... hmmm.. about.. 1 or 2... rooter or rootee! That's about it.
By putting straps over her boobs (nipples) it means: "hey look, that's not the focus here." If you don't cover her nipples, convention says that that means: "porn"

If Mass Effect is going to be a family game (which is almost is) then belts over Jacks boobs is the way to go. For no other reason than most people are going to have a hard time (in Aus where I live) thinking it was anything but some low grade leisure suit larry game for dole bludgers (which some people think anyway). (dole bludger = welfare)

Miranda is in a Latex outfit, completely skin tight and follows every curve unlike what fabric should do, see her butt pics.

Thane is wearing a trenchcoat, which I am sure offers great protection.

Jack as previously mentioned.

Kasumi has on a neat burgler suit, but the hood and fabric aren't armor.

Jacob has a spandex suit/leather suit he is wearing.

Samara has on some kind of jumpsuit, with a broken zipper.

The women mostly wear high heals.

WHAT PART OF THESE OUTFITS ACTUALLY MAKE ANY SINCE IN COMBAT??

Only Grunt, Shepard, Legion, and Garrius actually make sense, and maybe Zaeed, but can't figure out the arm band thingy on him.
