btw, keep on complaining to EA on this. Only the pressure of a company on another company can force their hand to address this.

I use a SDTV what I have done is gotten the proper SCART cable connector for the XBox360. Once I did this the problem went away. The basic SCART connector and cable that came with my XBox left we with blurry nearly unreadable text. Getting the proper cable fixed the issue instantly. I'm not sure if this helps the NA users but you might want to look into seeing if there exists an upgraded cable for a NA SDTV connection to the XBox.

Could you provide some more details on that cable (such as provider, prod#) as I am using the cables that came with my 360.

I got it years ago but looking at amazon.co.uk I found what is called the XBox 360 Advanced AV Cable. It is a proper SCART connection rather than a RGB into an adapter. When I used that adapter and the cable that came with the XBox 360 I could barely read the text in the game with the Advanced AV cable it is clear and relatively easy to read a bit small but still it is clear. I hope this helps, you can find other 3rd party companies that make this as well...Joytech Digital AV Cable-SCART is listed also at Amazon.co.uk. I bought mine at a local game store and never regretted it.
added in edit: I am also fairly sure that it improved the visual quality of the game a great deal...I say fairly because I didn't play very long with the original cables and this was years back but I am fairly sure there was a dramatic change in picture quality as well. Even on my SDTV the game looks astonishing. I see fine details of the armour plating for example and sharp crisp visuals...but the most noticable change was the ability to easily read the in game text.

I looked it up, and all I saw was an Advanced AV from Microsoft for the original Xbox, not the 360. Same on the microsoft site.

Well I don't know what to say since the amazon.co.uk site clearly lists the cable as for the platform Xbox 360 and the name is: Xbox 360 advanced AV cable (Xbox 360) from Microsoft. Try Google-ing "xbox 360 scart cable" and see what you find. I can assure you the cable exists, and it must correct the problem of unreadable text since I don't have it even though I have a 10 year old SDTV I am playing the game on.

Bioware can't fix it because Microsoft's system won't let them so chill out!
They even made a prototype...

"There are certain technical limitations as to how much and what you can fix in a Title Update. This particular issue when we investigated the fix (and made a prototype) showed to not be supported by the Title Update system (imposed by the folks over at Microsoft) therefor are unable to fix it."
And for you people that are still complaining about this, and can't stop, I don't have any remorse for you still complaining about this text stuff... I was once a gamer with a crappy old SDTV and I couldn't see crap on it, I decided to gave my self a serious goal of getting a Massive 52" HDTV!! so I had to work my butt off and get two jobs so I could buy $3000++ HDTV it wasn't easy but it was worth it, and that was almost 4 years ago when HDTVs had retarded price tags on them... but to buy a comparable HDTV now, that is as good or better then my TV is about $800 if you look around and that's peanuts compared to what they where. So if your saying your lazy and can't afford one, or you don't have the time, or another one of your excuses put it in a jar and save it.
