There's no sane reason to put him on the council. He's never looking out in anybody's best interest but his, which often clashes with your's

Well, I did in my playthrough that I was pretending to be an indoctrinated agent of the Reapers looking to ultimately destabilize galactic government for my glorious masters!

Does that count?

I did for my renshep that hated Anderson for no reason and spit on the graves of those that died at Eden Prime. She died along with her whole crew at the collector base....she also gave the base to TIM.

No way, Udina is an ****, and he doesn't believe what you say any more than the rest of the Council does.

At least Anderson is friendly with you and believes what you have to say; he is willing to work with you even if he can't do everything that he would like for you.

He's a more compelling speaker than Anderson. I really liked how he said his lines at the end of ME1 if you choose him to be on the council.

HELL no. Though I fully expected it to bite me in the ass in ME2, since Anderson's not a politico, but no, he turns out to be the best man for the job after all.

Unfortunately, ME2 doesn't have a scene of Udina getting punched out.

I have to admit though, what I really like about Udina is how through him the writers manage to push all my buttons. I can't stand the guy, which makes him so entertaining. Great character.

I would have gladly put Udina with the council....on the Ascension at the end of ME1. But actually on the council? Who would ever want to do that?

Udina, while often wrong, knows how to get things done as a politician, and tries to increase the power of humanity, if only because he represents them. Anderson on the other hand is completely incompetent when it comes to politics, and not capable of doing any good for anyone as a council member. Being right is irrelevant if you aren't able to be effective.

Being effective at doing the wrong thing is WAY WORSE than being ineffective at doing the right thing.

I put Udina on the Council for a couple characters (but not the one I consider my "main" character). Erica Shepard figured Anderson would be happier getting to stay in the military, and doesn't give a crap about politics herself anyway. Dixon Shepard kind of naively believed that Udina might actually be good at his job, but doesn't much like the guy. Deacon Shepard is just plain evil, and knows that Udina supports him in this.

Hell no, Anderson is the man.

Udina is like the kiss *** co-worker who would do anything for a promotion. On a Council who want nothing to do with what you say/do, he would make things only worse. Anderson, however, wont shy away from the truth and fight on your side for whats right. Also, seeing as how Anderson is in charge of Udina, he can order him around and get what he can out of him. Udina can do nothing but do what he says.
