I don’t remember the exact details of the message but he suggests that the Keepers are millions of years old and were made by the same hand that made Sovereign. Also, that the Protheans wern't as great as we thought and didn't constuct the Citidal.
So, what do you guys think? Will this play out in ME3?

He told you everything you already know. It's a bit of a gag.

You know... saying that made me think.... I wonder if those scans could be used as proof for the council?Shady314 wrote...
Trying to warn the council and people about the Reapers and being ignored. At least SOMEONE out there knows the truth besides me and Cerberus.
I doubt it -- I'm sure it's just supposed to be funny, but that would be hilarious if one insignificant optional sidequest in ME1 could have such big repercussions XD

Chorban says "They're supposed to react to... something, some signal or something...about every 50 thousand years"
Down a little further he says
"Whoever did this... well, around the last time this signal went off would be around the Pyotheans disappeared. And it's scheduled to-go-off sometime around now. If any of the old tech still works, they could have some nasty surprises waiting for us."
So maybe in me3 the reapers or the collectors will use the single again. It would be a great story arc for the council to finally back shepard when he helps defend them. Or have the rachni help you take back the citadel.

Actually the whole reason we had to find the conduit in ME1 was because the keepers didn't do what they were programmed to do by the reapers. Saren had to sneak in via the conduit and then over ride the citadel, doing the keeper's jobs for them. That is until Shepard stopped him.Thomas O wrote...
I think you guys missed a big thing in his message.

If I have my facts right the Protheans are the ones responsible for reprogamming the keepers.

I think is more along the lines that "signal went off" but nothing has happended yet. Pointing to what we already know about the Protheans modifying the signal.
Either way we alreayd knew all of it. Signal was sent already, but it wasn't recognized by keepers, bla bla bla.
WOuld be nice to have Chorban in ME3...as some sort of advisor or whatnot, would be anice reward for him I duno. Like a small time Mordin...not a repacement to a geneticist of Mordin's caliber but duno maybe part of the crew

I think it has more to do with the signal working than whose job it is to use the signal.Thomas O wrote...
How do we know its not the collectors job to do it and not the reapers?

Well it was a sidequest that was kind of hard to miss. Hell, Ashley even pointed out the guy as you were walking down the stairs.

Honestly, he's already stated he's told everyone and I assume he's attempted to inform the Council.. Of course everyone laughed him off, but we all know it's the truth. It's a shame that this warning came two years too late.
Ah yes, "reapers"

The Destiny Ascension would have made mincemeat of the collector vessel very fast.
