I have a quest to help Liara, but only two of the terminals allowed me to hack them, and the information didn't come up on another screen for me to see.  The three in her area don't act like the quest is active, and therefore I can't continue on to help her.  The only way to fix this is replay about 6 hours of game, so I guess I just will not have that one complete.  This is just to let it be known that it can glitch and see if anyone has had same issue or know how to fix without replay.

I didn't have that and I don't mean to be a jackass stating the obvious, but that's one of the many reasons to have autosave on.



You do sound like you're familiar with the quest, but just to make sure, you should be able to access the terminals you have already hacked to see all the data you have collected so far and contact Liara.

I had a weird hacking issue as well. I talked to Liara first and could hack only two terminals. I think I fixed it by talking about the quest again and then I could hack the third terminal.

I've got a similar problem. I can't, for the life of me, find other terminals after the first one even though I've done three laps of the entire place. I think the terminals may just be acting as if the quest isn't active. I'll see if I can reaccept the quest.

Just a quick update, I started another game character, and he got to Illum and he also has an issue with the hacking quest. The two in the "taxi" area show up, but other than giving you a the ability to click on the opened terminal, no other data shows and the three in the main area don't show up as hackable. I kept my save games and reinstalled the game, with no change, I don't know if I have to replay back from before getting to it, or if there is some other issue. But so far now on two different runs through ME2 the Illum hacking doesn't work right.

yeah I'm having that same problem completing this quest. I have a probably theory on why though. On my play through I hack a terminal Talked to this asari from noveria to get a contract to move another asari. She Left but the hacking terminal didnt turn on. Now I've also noticed that the Hackable terminals are actually very close to each other and the server terminals. My guess is if you hack one and go to the wrong terminal the game doesnt change the terminal locations to the next available hackable terminal. Thus a glitch occurs. The terminals and the servers are almost directly opposite of each other from what ive seen. BIOWARE make a patch please :] I dont want to mess up my save for ME2 rofl. Just a friendly request

As I understand it the first three terminals are in the southern portion of the map.

I hacked the two terminals closest to the entrance to that section, but the one next to "Biara Frontiers" is not selectable.

I left for a while to complete some other missions and upon returning I still cannot complete this quest. Since this quest in under "Missions" and not "Assignments" I assume it is important wrt ME3.

I can upload a save game if that would help.

Oddly enough, after posting this I am able to select the terminal. Magic.

Cant access the Terminal next to the charts vendor either... is there no fix for that? Only got the IFF mission left, did everything else and rly wanna go on with the game without spoiling the save for ME3...
Is there no way to just reset the quest? Or any chance it gets fixed in the next patch?

PC version, Patch 1.01, all 5 free DLCs installed from the start
Came back about 10+ times after every quest i did elsewhere, talked to Liara countless of times, nothing works... Can up the save if needed.

There appear to be only three terminals. They are located on the upstairs... one is next to the police station, the other two are by the Gateway Personal Defense Store. After hacking the three terminals and uploading their data, Liara stated that she received all the data, and that task was completed.

Please do not dig in the old graveyard and disinter corpses this old. You have to accept that six months is the outside limit.
