I'm really disappointed with bioware, but I knew that they wouldn't solve the text issue...
An issue that affect "small portion of SDTV users"?
Yeah right, that's why I see people everywhere complaining about this poor threatment.
That's why surverys always says that more than 50% of gamers still plays on SDTVs...
I really don't know, changing the text size should be one of the simplest things to address, in fact RARE solved the text issue of Bajo & Kazooie via Xbox Live patch.
Plus, Mass Effect 2 have planty of unused space in many part of the interface, so have a bigger text would fit the interface better than this tiny text that take only 5% of an empty window.
There is a lot of space, you don't even need to re-draw the interface.
The good part is that they'll think on that issue in the next Mass Effect games, but I say, think for all your future games not just mass effect 3!
If you want that SDTV owners will continue to buy your game, JUST SUPPORT US releasing game optimized for all kind of TV, otherwise if you don't care about us SDTV owners, next time just write on the cover "game unplayable on SDTV", so we can avoid to waste our money.
Meanwhile solve the text issue in Mass efefct 2 if you care a little about your customers, is the least you can do.
Bioware is losing respect in all internet due to this refuse to solve this critical issue, and not just by SDTV owners.

I'd like to hear why they consider it a design choice...

What they mean, since this was "not an intentional result", is that it is a defect that they decided not to address. That's what is meant any time the refer to someone's issue as a "design choice".

It seems that a lot of games are doing this now, it's frustrating to try and read tiny text especially on a SDTV, but this text is small even in HD. Maybe I'm missing something but why must they make the text so small to begin with? The response to this issue is just insulting because basicly they're saying we already got your money so we don't care. After buying DA:O and now this I think I'm done buying EA/Bioware games. Great games but support is just not there anymore, it's just about the money now.

The issue is dead folks. Closing this topic. We've investigated and are unable to fix it in a Title Update.
