They were all red shirts, anyway. They don't have names! Or souls.

Now, just for kicks, can you get the names of the Alliance ships Paragon Shep rattles off to that obnoxious reporter woman?

You know, it just occured to me that - when you first meet him - Jacob tells Shepard that "pretty much everyone" got off the Normandy alive, except Pressly and a few techs. /facepalm

We don't know the full crew compliment.  I'm not sure you can even count 20 people in the ship during ME1, yet we saw plenty get into a single escape pod, and then several escape pods jettison.

Also, unfortunately, it looks like at least one escape pod (hopefully unused with no one in it) didn't make it and was impaled in the ground.

That we saw 7 or 8 in one escape pod doesn't neccessitate that there were similar numbers in the others. Though you're right, I dunno if we could count 20 people on the Normandy in ME1.

Maybe there was another floor in that TARDIS-like-bigger-on-the-inside beauty? :wizard:

Codex -> Humanity and the Systems Alliance -> Rise of the Alliance - at the end of it:
Cairo
Cape Town
Emden
Jakarta
Madrid
Seoul
Shinyang
Warsaw
and their 2400 crew

Might be spelling-errors, I can't really see the text on my SD-TV...

The Normandy was huge. Think about how many people fit in an escape pod, and how many of those pods fired out of the one side we could see in the intro movie. The Normandy 2 is bigger, but you can see in the loading screens how much space is playable on the ship and how much isn't. We're doing some Game Trickery, but it's safe to assume that there are people that you don't see, doing things to keep the ship flying.

The folks on the Normandy Crash Site planet are the ones who stayed behind to help everyone else get to safety, or those who simply couldn't get out before it all blew up. They're heroes. :)

Doesn't EDI at one point state that the SR-2 has a complitent of 22 crew, in the discussion about what to do with Grunt.
So either the SR-2 has less crew than the SR-1, or 90% of the crew died and Jacob is wrong... again. :wizard:

That's what I always thought. I'm sure there were parts of the ship that Shepard couldn't walk to (including the sleeping areas).

:P

Also, a BioWare writer bumping a 2 month old post? I don't know what to do! This image still applies though:

22 or 24 I think, besides the Grunt part I think it is also raised when you initially get on board and are talking to Jacob and Miranda. But yeah... I thought it was a bit strange that firstly the Normandy SR2 is bigger and yet it takes same length of walking between the CIC and Joker, who is allegedly right at the front tip of the ship where you can close the shutters over the cockpit windows?

The only way it seems to have grown in size to some extent is at the back and in depth.

Yeah I know it fiction and what not, but fun to raise the silly points
:wizard: I am assuming control of this wizard

Maybe the original Normandy had a secondary mission of delivering dogtags to the front, a special commission from the Alliance Dogtag Manufacturers' Union! :bandit:

As for the bump, well, my necromantic skills are well known.

Yet the ship seems to be able to fly just fine with just a cripple and a computer...

The Normandy 2 has an AI which can do a lot of stuff whereas the Normandy 1 had none so that everything had to be done manually. Therefore, much more crew necessary.

Well, that would explain why three of the dogtags were found in crates that survived the fall and explosion. :P

Also, there is reason to suspect Jacob and even Kaidan are misleading us with the numbers. Look at this conspiracy:

-Navigating the Terminus Systems with the SR-1 was a heavy risk
-Kaidan was sneaking into the Captain's Quarters to tell Shepard that Joker won't evacuate
-Joker sat in the cockpit and couldn't resist pushing his buttons
-Joker is waiting for you on the bridge and wants all the time he can get
-Shepard went back Alchera to recover the dogtags and N7 helmet (which we shall nickname "The Priiize")
-Shepard completed that Normandy mission alone without Garrus or Tali, so he didn't come there to talk

Is it ever actually stated that Adams is dead? I remember there's a part where Tali says she misses him, but that's the only mention of him I can remember.

Which one of those was that red-headed girl who dies in the intro right after Pressley gets hit?
