But I am FAR FAR FAR FAR more concerned with keeping her as a LI in ME3 and an ending where she and Shepard can 'ride into the sunset.'

I say reveal. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it was revealed when/if Tali is killed. It would be a nice way for BioWare to force all the Talimaniacs to kill their favorite character to get a peek of what she looks like. Poetic justice, I think.
Please go to sleep under your bridge.

lol i'ma laugh my fricken rear off if they wind up looking like this an asian with downs syndrome like this person's concept.
I can imagine the legions flooding the board crying WHY BIOWARE WHY DID YOU MAKE TALI SO UGLY! WHY.
I mean, srsly, they probably aren't going to look particularly 'attractive.' Human lookalike races tend to have 5 fingers, she has errm 3.
You guys realize she has the same amount of fingers as the Xenomorph from the Aliens series, right?
I can't imagine her looking particularly humanoid... Could be anything under that goddam suit. All you know is that she has large eyes a nose and a good voice actress.
Too many people believe or act like Tali look like Liz Sroka... Yeah right. And Garrus looks like Brandon Keener? jfc people... seriously...
Quarians are probably butt ugly. I'm scared to see them.
That's pretty much how I expect her to look, but with some cybernetics and paler skin. And a bit less human looking. Maybe eye's like Thane's.
Sort of like a "soft-shelled" Turian look.

Frankly, i don't think he meant any harm. In fact, if they reveal her face and she dies, that would be really a strong and emotional point of the story. Not saying i'd like it but from a story point of view it'd be all right, much stronger than riding-into-the-sunset ending.Kharn-ivor wrote...

As for the picture posted above, i'd like to point out that it's a piece of art related to another sci-fi series/game (i can't remember but it's been discussed months ago) and has nothing to do with Quarians, except maybe some similar design. While it's certainly possible that the Quarians look like that, we are not discussing their looks here.
Edit: Also, the Quarians have no more common traits with Turians than the Human species have with Krogan. Assuming they 'sort of' look like Turians lacks any basis. In fact, in the Ascension novel they were described as very similar to Humans.

I'd much rather see Bioware handle the Quarian reveal than whatever EA/independent developer the series gets handed to after ME3.
Truth be told, I think once they ended Tali's love scene with you (the player) still not seeing her face, they cemented the Quarian face thing firmly in gimmick territory.

I don't follow this as close of some people. I may have missed the explanation or discussion about why someone in the Mass Effect world can't use their version of google and bring up several pics of Quarians before their exile or even recent photos of them during medical exams and such in clean rooms and what not.

@ Kileyan: They can and do. I actually made a thread pre-ME2 asking if Bioware Devs/Staff even had an idea of what the Quarians look like; they said that they did, and also that "you can find records of them, old pictures, etc., as well as Asari or Krogan who could tell you what they look like -- remember that they've only been isolated for the past 300 years.", something to that effect.

That would be stupid. That would engender nothing but hate and loathing from the fans.
Maybe one of the missions in ME3 would involve a way to strengthen Quarian immune systems enough to allow them to return to planet life, thus allowing them to take off their masks for all to see.

Also, in the interest of story telling and the desire for BioWare to make a game where people will want to replay the game, it is totally feasible and logical that they would do something like I've suggested. Something that involves an ending where, depending on your choices, Tali's face could or could not be revealed. Unless I'm wildly misinterpreting Tali's character, she would happily take a bullet to save Shepard's life.
Now I understand this upsets people, the thought that the only way to get the payoff of seeing Tali's face is by making decisions in which she ultimately dies, but please tell me how, in a game like Mass Effect, that wouldn't be a tear-jerker moment? BioWare makes good games with good stories. Would anyone really be satisfied if you just happen to see her face without any sort of emotional gravity to the situation?
I wouldn't. I want the reveal to be meaningful and worth it. Perhaps I was out of line in my earlier post of calling this a form of "poetic justice" for all those who are coming across a bit fanatical with their love for Tali, but please take care before you start telling me I'll be lynched or comparing me to troll living under a bridge. I mean no harm. Tali is my favorite character in the series without a doubt and Quarians are the most interesting fictional cultures I've encountered in awhile.
So, the bottom line is, I have the character's best interest at heart. Forgive me if I came across as a troll or some evil monster, but I've learned longer posts (such as this one) often get ignored on these boards so perhaps I didn't fully flesh out my point. I hope this clears it up.
Thank you. And I agree with you.smore006 wrote...

"can i take the bucket off my head yet?"
"no no Honey... that'll ruin it..."
"ruin what?"
"what if your not as beautiful as i imagine you to be? lets keep the mystery alive honey!"
girls self-esteem drops like a rock in water....
she's a love interest. hell i'm Muslim, all Muslim girls i meet usually have their Niqab on, if i fall in love i EVENTUALLY wanna see their face. It would be shallow of me to say no, because of fear she may not be as beautiful as i dream her to be.....
lets see her with our own eyes.
if you really loved the character, than it should speak very powerfully to you when you see her eyes and face, if you somehow fine her ugly and ergo don't like her anymore, that ought to say more about you than it does about Bioware's artists and or writers...

I think it's best that they don't reveal... some things are best left to the imagination... revealing their true appearance can only prove to be a dissapointment because it won't match what we hoped/wanted.
God this is the lamest excuse/reason to not reveal.
have some courage man...
There is anticipation in the moment. fight or flght.
and the biggest reason to not reveal is out of fear.
