I think keeping her face a secret from the player wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but you, sir, bring up a very good point here.NeoGuardian86 wrote...
she's a love interest. hell i'm Muslim, all Muslim girls i meet usually have their Niqab on, if i fall in love i EVENTUALLY wanna see their face. It would be shallow of me to say no, because of fear she may not be as beautiful as i dream her to be.....
lets see her with our own eyes.
if you really loved the character, than it should speak very powerfully to you when you see her eyes and face, if you somehow fine her ugly and ergo don't like her anymore, that ought to say more about you than it does about Bioware's artists and or writers...

As the shattered frame of the final reaper burns up in the flames of re-entry, the camera fades.
It appears over an arid plane, vegitation is prevelant, the air clean azure blue, clear, manicured by centuries of precise care.
We see the ground vibrate, a deep shadow is cast across the grainy surface, then another, then another. As the theme plays we see a wave of ships breeching atmosphere and descending rapidly but with the grace of a flock of doves.
As the huge assembly descends one shuttle peels away, towards a mesa dotted with distinctive alien flora.
Two figures exit, one is framed with lines of purple and white, curving around the distinctive frame of a quarian. The other, battered yet standing strong, carries an equally destinctive mark, the N7.
As Shepard and tali look out they see the first wave of craft from the flotilla making planet fall on a world that has known no stewards but synthetics for centuries...but which had never left the minds of even those quarians that had never seen its surface.
The figures turn towards each other, words are shared, both verbal and not, there is a glimmer of reflective light behind the lens of Tali's helmet.
Raising his hands Shepard pulls the N-7 helmet from his shoulders, feeling the touch of another alien breeze. Turning out towards the fleet, with a strong and triumphant determination Tali does the same.
The faceplate falls for the ground and for the first time the Quarian's face feels the touch of a natural breeze, the taste of a familiar air she had never know, it's caress against her tears of joy.
There are no words...

If you're going to reveal the Quarians, at least do it with some taste.
I got chills.

I support that Tali/The Quarians are revealed.
For Tali:
I strongly feel that we should see her face. I felt it was very inconsistent to the formula of the game that we didn't see it, but Shepard did. I feel that the game has catered to the fact that the player and Shepard are one.
It was her enigma that captured our attention, It's a great build up, and finally seeing under the mask could be one of, if not the biggest pay off for some people. Mystery needs to payoff at some point. Same goes for the Quarians in general.
Just showing my support for this thread, with an opinion of my own.

Edit: I just noticed that this is a resurrected thread. Note to Mods- When you lock it, do some sort of awesome catchphrase in your post. "Leave the dead where they fall" or "The dead are useless." Some kind of Harbinger quote lol

Tali's design was too bland/ugly/elaborate for her to be relatable. This basically ruined ME3 for me entirely. I am so pissed at EA and Bioware, that I'm not going to buy another game from them. The team basically doesn't know how to make a good alien design. I would have preferred if she/they looked like this *posts link to a deviant art page*.
Better to embrace Tali as the character she is inside the helmet, than have thousands of butthurt retards having a fvcking seizure of rage when we actually see her face.

I hope that Bioware will find a way to make Tali seem alien yet still recognizably attractive without looking like a Space Night Elf. It's not like they have to show her face all the time, just one look...
Hell, it doesn't even have to be Tali herself, that way people can continue to imagine the details of her face.

For the love of god, no fvcking reveal! Its not needed! We can see statues and sculptures, but that's as far as I care to look. If they reveal the quarians, especially Tali, these forums will over load with Talimancers b!tching to Bioware. I can see their comments now:

This is spot on. It would defintely turn out that way. I don't believe BW will ever show her or any other quarian's face. Ever.

People will complain either way. And they will find a great deal of other things to also complain about.
So if complaints are your worry, don't make/play the game,or stay away from the forums.
Have faith and pride in your work. The Quarians are a half developed race. Finish what you started.
Every other art design in Mass Effect seems to work. So why would their Quarian concept not work?
I think they should show us another random Quarian's face,(Like the death of Kal Reegar)so the fans who want to shape their own Tali still can. Appease both parties! No?
Edit:I think people who want to keep it secret are being selfish and/or just plain hating on Tali and her fans. Neither are good reasons to keep the Quarian's appearance a secret. Immerse yourself in the ME universe. How? The entire galaxy knows and sees something I can not.(Pics on the extranet.) Why?
Immerse in only the parts you say I can? Worthless IMO. Krogans and Asari live for over 300 years, some of them may know first hand. As the bar tender on Illium indicated.

That said if BW doesn't show her face I'll be disappointed but not shocked and sad like I was in ME2 when they pulled away I was like That was cheap! If they don't show her face in ME3 I'd at least in the final mission love scene like to see if she has hair, what color it is, what length it is, and what style it is sense the hood from ME2 already looks like she will have the prim n' proper look from Fallout 3 just with with better detail and I'd be just fine with that style on her sense she would have zero opportunity to manage it.
I would also like to know her skin color maybe see a tasteful shot of her upper back or hip bone just to get an idea of her in basic terms though I'd love to know if her eyes are shinny like Riddicks or not.

Conceal. I don't want a Darth Vader reveal because it takes that specialness away from the Quarians. I don't think it's needed; if people would be that offended by not being able to see what they look like you're just going to be disappointed when they don't turn out to be your idea of them. Conceal!
Agreed.
