AVP Demo Impressions

I'm still puzzled why almost every article I read the author is far from impressed, tears the game apart, or just talks about Halo or MW2 more than the game the article is about. lol.
I really enjoyed the demo & even though I grew up playing this game on PC I think I might end up getting it for 360 simply b/c the controls are much much smoother.
Anyways just thought I would see if anyone from the community had similar tastes in shooters. I love the demo & the game will fill the gap between now & Awakening!!!

Animations don't exactly look that great either, guess i will wait for the reviews and then re consider getting this game.

Like what was said a few posts before me, you can tell Rebellion concentrated on the the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions and just went with a half assed port for PC. PC gamers get the shaft once again.

Played it on PC and honestly i am having really bad impressions seeing it is going to be a horrible port. Controls(for pc at least) felt clunky and unpolished, i cringed at this game even more than i did to ME1's combat system.

I agree I am a hardcore PC fan above all else & usually hate consoles games but the controls are broken on PC. The game is very smooth & extremely fun on 360. Just wish they would of picked TDM instead of lame death match which I don't recall ne1 ever playing on AVP2 for PC.

I was not impressed with the demo at all. The sad thing is other than the visuals (because it's the DirectX 9 build) the game is pretty much the finished product. The action felt clunky, the controls were awkward, the action was a bit repetitive, and the animation was terribad. I haven't seen character movements this bad since Warhammer Online. That should tell you how bad it was.

Well I think it is safe to assume you have never played the original games. Considering the controls are almost identical to AVP2, which I agree they are hard to get used to & I feel you shouldn't have to remap a majority of a games keys to be able to play it smoothly but sadly AVP is one of those games on PC. I did not care for the controls on PC but the game is very smooth on 360. Also can you try supporting your ridiculous claims please? I mean you said the graphics are bad but you didn't compare it to anything. Gears of War & Halo look better but otherwise most shooters look worse plus I think the graphics & art style match perfectly. Point beign you just seem like a super angry negative person. I don't expect you to agree with my opinion but I expect you to have examples & know what you are talking about. lol.
I think it is safe to assume you're someone who doesn't like shooters or a fan of MW2 where people ignore graphics for hype & pretend like their visuals are not bad. lol. Either way I hope no way takes your terrible view on the game seriously & loses out on playing a great demo. Most people on here should appreiate art style & fun gameplay mechanics since we are fans of either dragon age or mass effect...or both. lol.

Another good PC game destroyed by console gamers.
Not sure what you mean b/c as i said before controls are about the same from what I can remember(just played AVP 2 a few months ago) but I do agree it is foolish to make the 2nd DX11 title then not include those features in the demo to show them off which consoles probably played a huge role in that dumb decision.
