Just thought id'e bring this to light as its stopped me playing ME 2 three times now, sometimes at mission end your given the option to stay and explore (useful if you missed the odd medi gel etc) and the only way to exit the mission is by hitting B.
Here's the rub, on three occasions i've opted to stay and search but as soon as i do my squad goes into combat stance and i can't get them to go neutral, this completely negates hitting B to exit as all they will then do is melee when the option appears and viola your stuck.

Anyone else? or only me?

Im just pissed off when the reminder to press B appears every 5 seconds -.-

It's happened to me once, I ended up having to reload as the room I was in was sealed so there was no way to leave.

Yeah, definitely not just you. There's no reason for it to appear more than once. I noticed it was especially obstructing after completing Tali's loyalty mission. There were about 5 or 6 people I wanted to talk to (I always try to talk to everyone, going through every possible bit of dialogue) and of course that "Press B to exit" front and center almost the entire time. >=|

My feelings exactly. I'm not so brain dead I need reminding every 3 seconds, I found it incredibly aggravating.

It does get rather tedious...

getting back to the original posters comment you should be able to put away your weapons by pressing the back button should be to the left of the big button in the center of your controller
after that pressing B should work to get you out of the mission

Maybe i didn't explain myself too well or you just skipped the post, shepard STAYS locked in his combat stance no amount of pushing the back (or any other button) will put him back into "at ease" (if you like).

And talking of moronic reminders anyone else being driven mad by the constant  "pull right trigger to release probe" whilst mining? good god i'm not 10 years old anymore
