....the human reaper boss.

That really was the corny part of the game.

I was almost ok until it came back to life, that just looked silly. I thought I'd get some sort of timed "gauntlet of death" to escape the ship in 10 minutes or something as the final fight, not that thing.

I was disappointed actually, it was the easiest fight in the entire game. Heck, I had more trouble dealing with some of the merc encounters.

Though it did look mean. Though not sure why it had three eyes, easier to aim maybe? :P

Considering how I had lost a few people already (Including Garrus! No! Not Garrus!) I was pretty freaked out by it.

Especially when it started to break the platforms surrounding me.

Now that I think about it, though, it was/is a rather silly boss. And easy, too.

...and what's exactly it - we laugh about it. and Bioware was serious about it.

I dunno.....don't get me wrong - I've carefully observed every aspect and detail of this game, and there are so many positive and so many negative things - but the human reaper.......I dunno......

I was, like, "ehhhh... WTF?" upon first seeing it. Then I ran through the dialogue options and was impressed. It answered a question I had from the first game: why the **** would a machine race make themselves in the image of a giant squid? Now I know why.

Come to think of it - I was disappointed with the whole Omega 5 relay thing.

It transports you to the center of the galaxy - near a black hole, and you just "casually" fly there, and destroy a base - just like that. No other reference given.

I don't remember the Omega 5 relay
And why do you think we went to get the IFF and the whole main quest was about preparing for the mission?

hey i kinda thought it was interesting. I mean it basically explains why they come and slaughter every sentient race every so often (after races have evolved enough) and it explains how they re-produce.

Did it need to look human? Well it was an embrio, so heaven knows what it was going to look like when completed.

The idea was (and still is) very interesting (ended up making me think a lot about the whole Reapers-Protheans-Collectors-Humans thing), but BW did a horrible job with the way it looked. They should have made it more like a giant Husk.

Frankly I think that human reaper thing is not too bad. I read the art book before installed the game so I knew what it looked like.

Seriously, it's a huge improvement upon me1's frog skeleton boss fight.

Yeah, the Human!Reaper was just so bad it was laughable. If the Reapers resemble the races they're created from, why do all the other Reapers in the fleet that we get a glimpse of look like squid? Shouldn't there be some variation? Besides, why would they want to look like a conquered and supposedly inferior race? I really hope they don't make matters worse by revealing it's some kind of Borg situation. The cliches and cheap plot devices might just kill me.

Worst of all was that the wannabe Terminator/Borg was a super easy kill. I parked my Shepard's butt behind some cover and with a few shots of my sniper rifle it was dead. My Shepard wasn't even injured!

Honestly, the timed retreat in the Collector's ship was the hardest fight, or series of fights, I've had. The timer and that flying thing that I can never remember the name of gave me hell until I figured out how to deal with it.

MN.

It was a bit OTT. I adored ME2 on the whole, but I still found myself raising an eyebrow at the sight of that thing. "...Really?"

James Cameron called. He wants his robot back.

That thing was my only real problem with the game (and maybe those end of mission loading screen).

Oh I agree completely. The final boss felt totally out of place in this game and universe. I still think it's a great game, but that was a bit over the top for my taste. I never thought I'd say this, but.... "Why Bioware, why?" <_<

Also, didn't the human-reaper look awfully small? Sure, it was only the upper body, but still. Was it even as big as the Normandy? I mean Sovereign must have been like a kilometre long, right?

By the way, is it possible to be killed by the Human-Reaper?

edit: or let me put it this way: has anyone ever had to re-do the fight?

I thought it was sufficiently creepy and it did nothing to ruin my vast enjoyment of ME2. That said, one of my immediate thoughts after the initial shock reveal was, "Just how uncool would it look to see a giant human body with bare feet and all flying through space with laser beams coming out of its eyes and mouth?" Because of my familiarity and comfort with the human body I would likely find it far less disturbing than the distinctly alien look of the older Reapers.

Yeah but... so reapers actually grow in size? How does that even work?

Lol, thanks! Well, I guess there are many other things as well I shouldn't think to much about.
