That really was the corny part of the game.

It was, as soon as i saw it i literally lmao i mean we just had another terrible terminator movie and bioware makes a 100ft terminator the final boss.
I was almost ok until it came back to life, that just looked silly. I thought I'd get some sort of timed "gauntlet of death" to escape the ship in 10 minutes or something as the final fight, not that thing.

Though it did look mean. Though not sure why it had three eyes, easier to aim maybe?

Especially when it started to break the platforms surrounding me.
Now that I think about it, though, it was/is a rather silly boss. And easy, too.

I dunno.....don't get me wrong - I've carefully observed every aspect and detail of this game, and there are so many positive and so many negative things - but the human reaper.......I dunno......

It transports you to the center of the galaxy - near a black hole, and you just "casually" fly there, and destroy a base - just like that. No other reference given.

Come to think of it - I was disappointed with the whole Omega 5 relay thing.

And why do you think we went to get the IFF and the whole main quest was about preparing for the mission?

Did it need to look human? Well it was an embrio, so heaven knows what it was going to look like when completed.

Seriously, it's a huge improvement upon me1's frog skeleton boss fight.

Worst of all was that the wannabe Terminator/Borg was a super easy kill. I parked my Shepard's butt behind some cover and with a few shots of my sniper rifle it was dead. My Shepard wasn't even injured!
Honestly, the timed retreat in the Collector's ship was the hardest fight, or series of fights, I've had. The timer and that flying thing that I can never remember the name of gave me hell until I figured out how to deal with it.

That thing was my only real problem with the game (and maybe those end of mission loading screen).

Also, didn't the human-reaper look awfully small? Sure, it was only the upper body, but still. Was it even as big as the Normandy? I mean Sovereign must have been like a kilometre long, right?

Oh I agree completely. The final boss felt totally out of place in this game and universe. I still think it's a great game, but that was a bit over the top for my taste. I never thought I'd say this, but.... "Why Bioware, why?" <_<

edit: or let me put it this way: has anyone ever had to re-do the fight?

lol might have been corny but it looked so awesome. It was so huge it made me dizzy during the fight.
I thought it was sufficiently creepy and it did nothing to ruin my vast enjoyment of ME2. That said, one of my immediate thoughts after the initial shock reveal was, "Just how uncool would it look to see a giant human body with bare feet and all flying through space with laser beams coming out of its eyes and mouth?" Because of my familiarity and comfort with the human body I would likely find it far less disturbing than the distinctly alien look of the older Reapers.

Yeah but... so reapers actually grow in size? How does that even work?
